.comsaint Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 temporarily - for a day or so anyway! No one else in the bottom half of the table play 'til Saturday. Sure it's top-of-the-table Wolves away...and we're live on Sky...and we'd have to win - but we're Saints and you therefore never know! *cough They (Wolves) are without their 40-goal strike pairing of Chris Iwelumo and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake by the way. We scored from 2 set-pieces at Watford the other night. Perhaps we therefore are going to have to rely on corners/free kicks again as our strikeforce has been pretty dire lately in open play. But...you never really know with Saints. Reading/Preston away anyone?
Saint Matty 76 Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 Saints to finish 9 points clear of the drop and then get hit by a 10 point deduction. Would it surprise anyone?
CB Fry Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 Even if it is only temporary i think just being out of it for one day would be a massive, massive lift and could see some real believe surge through the squad. The comeback starts tomorrow!
skintsaint Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 They (Wolves) are without their 40-goal strike pairing of Chris Iwelumo and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake by the way. THAT is great news.
Miltonaggro Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 If it could happen the morale of the players and the city would be sky high for the run in...
Window Cleaner Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 THAT is great news. Steve Morgan giving us a helping hand? thanks Steve.
Griffo Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 Also, Michael Kightly who is their main playmaker is out too Quietly confident about tomorrow. They're very nervous too with Brum chasing right up their arse.
.comsaint Posted 9 April, 2009 Author Posted 9 April, 2009 We'll ****in **** em.coyr That's the spirit!...whatever the...er...missing letters were!
dubai_phil Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 Did Iwelemo write us a new letter yet? Out of bottom 3 tomorrow - lol we're on TV & EoA & I are watching in the pub - 100% suicide watch on that mix so far this season
.comsaint Posted 9 April, 2009 Author Posted 9 April, 2009 Did Iwelemo write us a new letter yet? Out of bottom 3 tomorrow - lol we're on TV & EoA & I are watching in the pub - 100% suicide watch on that mix so far this season Phil. Some friendly advice. Have a day on the beach - away from any tellys. Or an afternoon at a casino...or shopping in one of those luxurious air-conditioned malls out there. But please - stay away from any TV screens - for all our sakes!

Or an afternoon at a casino...or shopping in one of those luxurious air-conditioned malls out there. But please - stay away from any TV screens - for all our sakes! Hate to point this out but... We tried that, it didn't work either. At least this way we get to drink beer and talk to saints fans face to face instead of by keyboard. Don't worry, we got the local version of Samaritans on standby this time, maybe that will work

They can't, they're Saints junkies. They may want to stay at home or play golf but they can't. We have summer camps on this very forum for Saints junkies, you'd be surprised the number of people who log on at all hours of the day and night to talk about Saints not because they want to, they know they could get a life if they could just break with the past and move on...but they can't.

The comeback starts tomorrow! To be fair winning away at the league leaders would give the whole side a massive lift

stevegrant Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 They've still got Marlon Harewood, Sam Vokes and Andy Keogh though, I wish we had something approaching that strength in depth ! Judging by his performance on Monday night (against his real team's bitter rivals, no less!), it'll be like playing against 10 men if he plays.
Danny Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 Judging by his performance on Monday night (against his real team's bitter rivals, no less!), it'll be like playing against 10 men if he plays. Welcome to the latest episode of "How to jinx a football match", brought to you this week, by Steve Grant.

ART Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 As .comsaint would have said back in 2001. KEEP THE FAITH!
St Marco Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 If we do get out of it will be the first time this year. Been in the bottom three for over 4 months now. Would not surprise me one bit to get a win over Wolves. I will be there chearing them on win or lose.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 If it could happen the morale of the players and the city would be sky high for the run in... Like it was after Cardiff and Ipswich............................................oh
.comsaint Posted 9 April, 2009 Author Posted 9 April, 2009 As .comsaint would have said back in 2001. KEEP THE FAITH! Indeed Art my old friend. Nothing has changed 8 years on either! We can get out of this mess - starting with a victory at Molineux! Happy days!
suewhistle Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 Out of bottom 3 tomorrow - lol we're on TV & EoA & I are watching in the pub - 100% suicide watch on that mix so far this season Oh sod, I suppose I've got to find an internet stream or a local bar with every obscure channel going, and promising to buy loads of beer so that they keep it on the right channel...that's not a problem, watching Saints...
Stepgar Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 I really don't think we will win. They could have their entire back line out, their third choice keeper in goal and virus to rip through the entire squad. We are on SKY!! Enough said.

ALWAYS_SFC Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Funniest f**king thread on here - EVER. To much alcohol i suspect..
.comsaint Posted 10 April, 2009 Author Posted 10 April, 2009 Funniest f**king thread on here - EVER. Easy to be smug when we're 3-0 down eh?
alpine_saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Easy to be smug when we're 3-0 down eh? Smug ? Not in the slightest. Laughing my tits off at your initial assertion, though. Sorry that your embarassment is so uncomfortable.
.comsaint Posted 10 April, 2009 Author Posted 10 April, 2009 Hindsight is a wonderful thing Alpine. He wasn't mouthing off prior to kick-off I see.
alpine_saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Hindsight is a wonderful thing Alpine. Hindsight my arse. This was as predictable as the sun coming up.
alpine_saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 He wasn't mouthing off prior to kick-off I see. Probably because I was out shopping, but even if I were, it would just have fuelled your smugness accusation
Griffo Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Hindsight my arse. This was as predictable as the sun coming up. You could have said your initial post a few days ago then. You like being right? Don't you? We all know we are ****, just shut up about it.
Ian the Red Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 No f"£$%^g chance of us being out of the botom three, give the 10 points deduction now pleeeeaaaasseeee!
.comsaint Posted 10 April, 2009 Author Posted 10 April, 2009 Probably because I was out shopping, but even if I were, it would just have fuelled your smugness accusation Some of us still believe. And others wave white hankies. I'd never ever want to be with you in the trenches...
alpine_saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Some of us still believe. And others wave white hankies. I'd never ever want to be with you in the trenches... Oh, that pathetic analogy again. Just in case you havent noticed, this is FOOTBALL, not the battle of the Somme.
badgerx16 Posted 10 April, 2009 Posted 10 April, 2009 Some of us still believe. Do you still BELIEVE that Saints will finish out of the bottom three ? Or is it hope, faith, prayer, or voodoo you are using as a basis for your judgement ?
