Do we want a Billionaire to take us over?

The day we become anything remotely like Chelsea will be the day I finally give up supporting Saints. If I had the choice of Saints being more like Chelsea of Eastleigh, I'd chose Eastleigh.

Of course, I'd love a billionaire to come in and secure our future financially, and lead us back to the premiership but I'd be embarressed more than anything else if we started winning (buying) trophies simply because of some new found wealth.

If we ever got to the Champions League (Yeah right!), I'd like to think we were there on merit.

Well you may soon get your wish as if Eastleigh win promotion we will potentially only be 2 leagues apart!

Personally I want someone to come and and clear all the debt and make sure we never, ever get in this position again.

If that takes being a millionaires play thing for a few years I can live wih it as I have just endured a few years of hell under Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, Hone and Dulieu.

I would absolutely hate it. It's ruining football and would ruin saints. SMS filled with plastic fans, no one would stand or sing. Atmosphere would be ****. It's character building supporting Saints, and I thoroughly enjoy the highs and lows of support Saints. It just wouldn't be the same. I would probably 'follow' elsewhere.

Just because we may possibly have a billionare buying us, it does not mean to say that he/she would plough all their vast wealth into the club and turn us into another Chelsea.

As long as it was enough to give us financial stabilty, build a decent team, enable us to watch entertaining football and get back to the prem would be good enough for me.

Even to have the last laugh on the skates would fill my cup full of satisfaction.
