mitch01 Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 Well I'll be hitting the A30, M5, A35, A31 on Monday. Probably be regarded as a 'stayaway' or a 'plastic fan', but hey I can take it. I was watching Saints week in / week out before most of those carping were born! And I can remember the last time Saints were in the old 3rd Div. 1st game of the season might have been against Rotherham. Bringing the lad too - who will insist on wearing his Exeter shirt (spot the difference!) - and say he's looking forward to seeing Exeter at SMS next year. Sadly, I think he's right - but hope he's wrong. I really hope hes right mate! I´d take league one football in an instant, anything but non-existence. If theres a club to support I´ll support it the same no matter what division they are in. If there is no club it will leave a gap in my life that I´m not sure how to fill. voteforpedro Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 i just had a nightmare trying to get 3 tickets together anywhere in the ground, ended up in block 38 ffs. Boooorrrring. I'm pretty sure block 38 is in the Kingsland/ Northam corner, so I'm guessing all corners are now open??

Griffo Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I think that block 38 is along the touchline and not in the corner. Think it's the last block before the empty corner.

alpine_saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 Will be there on Monday as usual. Singing as much as possible in block 4. I'm there for the club, not to support the team, who I firmly believe will now be relegated. So you are actually there for Barclays, Aviva, and Begbie Taylor, not SFC... Griffo Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 So you are actually there for Barclays, Aviva, and Begbie Taylor, not SFC... Barclays Aviva and Begbie Taylor 'til I die, Barclays Aviva and Begbie Taylor 'til I die, I know I am, I'm sure I am Barclays Aviva and Begbie Taylor 'til I die. No I'm not - shut it. I am there to support the club financially, although I paid for a ST at the beginning of the season. I am there because of memories, good times, and something to do that SFC has provided me over my years. It's a massive part of my life.

Wes Tender Posted 12 April, 2009 Share Posted 12 April, 2009 Just tried online to get three tickets together in the Northam blocks and it says none available I couldn't even get two tickets together for the Northam on Saturday morning. They said the corners weren't open and I had to settle for the first block in the Itchen. If at least the Northam Kingland and Northam Itchen corners are open, that would be great. vince Posted 13 April, 2009 Share Posted 13 April, 2009 anyone got any update on ticket sales? Just got through after trying for 5 minutes on the phone. I decided late last night to take my nipper to his first game - he's 3 and probably too young to last the whole game. Under normal circumstances, I'd probably wait another year to take him, maybe longer, but as there is a real chance I might never get to take him to a Saints game (can't do the last home game) he's going today and if I have to keep him amused on the concourses 'cos he's thrown a wobbly, then at least I can tell he in the years to come that he saw them play. They said they had around 4K tickets left. Come on, fill it!

Or is that with the corners shut!?

trousers Posted 13 April, 2009 Share Posted 13 April, 2009 I thought I'd read/heard that the corners had been re-opened for the rest of the season? Hardly the act of a club trying to fill the ground if they're still closed? (Ok, it sounds like 26/27k is about as much as we'd sell today but slightly surprised in principle. slymush Posted 13 April, 2009 Share Posted 13 April, 2009 anything over 17,000 is not a joke. People have to realise many prem clubs get 17k ave support week in week out - ie bolton blackburn wigan, skates? wolves had their highest gate of the season on friday against us and it was just over 24k - says a lot?...they have been top all season anyone that went to brum will know they're numbers and atmosphere was terrible to say the least our support is good and could be exceptional for league 1/championship if the right buyer is found - just becuase people arnt turning up on the apathy of the most terrible season in the clubs history means nothing - any serious investor will realise this and lets face it its not like over 20k are going to be turning up week in week out next season.. the plea to give money to the club is also sickening and i know has put a lot of people off...and who can blame them - watching an old lady give a hard earned £500 to the club and worse over seeing the club accept it makes you question what is going on when some of the most awful players that have ever put on the saints shirt will be spending it on booze in the sun in about 4 weeks time not giving a flying fook.... dont blame people for not turning up blame the club for imploading..
