Griffo Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 I'd like to applaud everyone that travelled tonight. Support was immense. I've only missed a handful of games all season and I think that was by far and away the best support we've had on the road. Vocally was much better than Reading away. Mental second goal celebrations too.
Saints foreva Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Sounded great on the radio. First half hearing OWTS sang slowly sounded brilliant! Well done to the lot of you!
wagon 84 Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Horrendous journey & no where to park so missed first 10 minutes but would do it again just for the celebrations 90th minute screamer !! just one question why didn't saeijs take the 93rd minute freekick.. geez if that went in well i think most of us would still be there now !!!
53andout Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Great atmosphere tonight at Watford Pleased to be part of it. Long may that support continue whatever division we are playing in just playing next season will be great
Tac-tics Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 I work with skates and even said "jesus they would give us a run for our money" then I kindly reminded them we was away owts slowly sounded great
eastleighhalo Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Was proud to be in that number tonight...absolutely mental celebration when we equalised but sobered down quickly when they missed a sitter at the death... Jason Eaull missed a sitter a minute before they went in front but worked his socks off...saga looked sharp when he came on ...a fair result in the end.
Bailey Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Top draw from the travelling fans tonight. Was up there with Reading away this season. Hopefully any potential investors saw how many fans made the journey tonight to support the lads. Very proud to be in that number! COYR!
rick1976.4.38 Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 was a good atmosphere, watfords fans are dreadful when it comes to support, thank god we know how to do it.cant wait for woves on friday, hopefuly another good turn out of saints fans, coyr
Loyal Saint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Just back. Very good turnout and atmosphere tonight. Well done all
OurClaus Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 unbelievable support tonight, even when we went 2-1 down we never stopped singing, 90minutes of singing and shouting results in a very bad throat! And Wow what free kick! celebrations were unreal. Must say though, possibly the worst home support ive witnessed...
Summers Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 I think i almost came when J-P banged that free kick in!
saint_bert Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Was fantastic last night. Am even more proud than normal after standing with you guys last night, it was immense!!!!
70's Mike Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Throat very sore this morning but had already booked today off work, if Surman had let JPS take the last free kick i may have lost voice completely. See you at Wolves
saintpat Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Yep- great support last night, was very proud to be a Saints fan. I think we probably made more noise coming out of the stadium than Watford fans did at anytime inside.
TJD Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Took my nipper to his first ever away game last night. Our fans were the best and he was blown away by it all. I did have to tell him it is not always like that! Well done to all - you should be very proud of yourselves. 'Southampton 'till I die!'
Saint_Jonny Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Best away support ive been involved with last night, absolutely brilliant! Would have loved to of known what it sounded like from another part of the ground, cos' we rocked! As has been said, I cant stop thinking about that free-kick, ****ing stunning. COYR!!! (I feel ******* awful now tho, and im off to work now)
NickG Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 great support, I went with a colleague, who mainly goes to non-league out of our area, but also premiership games for variuos teams in London - he was amazed at our passion, Proud of Saints.
LVSaint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Crowd reaction to the free kick stunner looked great on SSN. Something to cheer about at last.
West End Saint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Best away support this season got home at 1.40 am throat is very sore cracking atmosphere really enjoyed it thought we deserved the win great celebration for the second goal the stand was rocking see you all at Wolves UTS
Michelle Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 My voice still hadn't completely recovered from Saturday - I was still very croaky yesterday morning. Now it's buggered again, and with another two games in the next six days, I'm not even sure it'll recover completely before Sheff Wed! Absolutely brilliant last night, makes you proud to be a Saint, even in these troubled times. Well done everyone.
dickyhale Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Very proud to be in that number! The boy and l drove up and went to China town first made a good day of it. COYR
SaintRobbie Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 KEEP ATTENDING ! Keep the spirit of Southampton going this season until the last game!
saints_is_the_south Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Immense support last night, best away support I've been involved in since Derby in the play offs. Couldn't believe how quiet their fans were though or maybe they were just shocked into silence at how loud we were!
jim_bergerac Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 keep attending ! Keep the spirit of southampton going this season until the last game! good call that man!!!
saintmatt Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 as long as the support carries on like that,im not all that bothered what situation we end up in next season.football's relative,we walked away happier than manu fans did from their game last night despite the fact we're still odds-on to go down.most importantly tho,i believe more than ever that we'll be back now.coyr!!
Griffo Posted 8 April, 2009 Author Posted 8 April, 2009 I agree. I couldn't give a **** what league we're in next season. I just want the support and the love for the club to be exactly the same. LETS ****ING MAKE EVERY AWAY DAY, EVERY SEASON LIKE THIS OKAY?
Didcot Saint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Best away support for ages. Never got quiet even when losing. 9/10. Watford though, Jesus. They clapped at 2-1, got a little excited at nearly 3-1, but were silent for 90% of the game. 1/10. They were pathetic mate. If there was any justice they would be relegated for their terrible support. Ive been to that dump six times and they have NEVER sang, the atmo is terrible. Real fans, briiliant club SFC forever.
londonsaint1604 Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Throat very sore this morning but had already booked today off work' date=' [b']if Surman had let JPS take the last free[/b] kick i may have lost voice completely. See you at Wolves I was disappointed with him last night, he did nothing except for take 2 poor free-kicks. He just wanted to be the hero when it was obvious that JPS would have scored that last 1 with a koeman-esque flick over the wall.
Appy Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Fantastic support. Hopefully it will continue at at wolves on friday!
londonsaint1604 Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 And fair play to the watford stewards for not telling us to sit down.
Papa Shango Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Yep, brilliant support last night. Hopefully more of the same on Friday for Wolves!
Toadhall Saint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Was listening on the radio and our support was excellent - well done all that were there!
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 jost posted this on another thread. can you believe these retards? http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?p=384108#post384108 apparently saints fans are a joke. what a bunch of ******* morons at least we cheer on our team.[/
Summers Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Absolutely brilliant last night, makes you proud to be a Saint, even in these troubled times. Well done everyone. +1 :-)
londonsaint1604 Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 That is pathetic, I think we must have really hurt his feelings last night.
saints_is_the_south Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 jost posted this on another thread. can you believe these retards? http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?p=384108#post384108 apparently saints fans are a joke. what a bunch of ******* morons at least we cheer on our team.[/ Lol at them. I think they need to look a bit closer to home before moaning about our support, possibly the worst home support I've ever seen tbh. Also had to laugh at the thread about how far away can the fans at the stadium be heard, i couldn't hear them from the away end let alone from a couple of miles away!
rick1976.4.38 Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 i said b4 we got there last night they only make a noise when they score, they have to have the worst support in the country, abysmal, coyr
Saint_Jonny Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 cant believe that. Easily the worst home support ive seen. We wiped the floor with them last night! I reckon they were stunned into silence. ****s.
WGC Saint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Throat still recovering even now but great night. Many more of those to come whatever league we start in come August. COYR's.
WGC Saint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Lol at them. I think they need to look a bit closer to home before moaning about our support, possibly the worst home support I've ever seen tbh. Also had to laugh at the thread about how far away can the fans at the stadium be heard, i couldn't hear them from the away end let alone from a couple of miles away! Are they for real? Watford are the most consistently **** fans I've ever had the displeasure of having to witness home and away. You should be ashamed of yourselves you muppets. It was like a bloody morgue in there except for our singing. Come back when you've got a decent ground and a history to shout about.......
de-fence Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Anyone else see the two ridiculously fit girls around row F, bout seat 45ish. I welcome their support immensely.
bigtonesfc Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 The 2 long haired blondes??....No!Was to busy admiring the stadium!!
voteforpedro Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Great atmosphere, reminded me why I love away games so much. Also, it was good to see Simon Gillett in the away end with us.
simonsaints1 Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 I think 1 out of 10 for watford fans is a tad generous! They should be docked 10 points for bringing the game into disrepute. I was embarrased for them.
Mao Cap Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 jost posted this on another thread. can you believe these retards? http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?p=384108#post384108 apparently saints fans are a joke. what a bunch of ******* morons at least we cheer on our team.[/ Bit daft of whoever the Saints fan was to go on there playing keyboard jockey, though. I mean it's Watford, who gives a f*ck? Mighty annoyed I wasn't there, stupid night work. Fair play to all who went.
iansouthstander Posted 9 April, 2009 Posted 9 April, 2009 Anyone else see the two ridiculously fit girls around row F, bout seat 45ish. I welcome their support immensely. Why yes I did. I was stood in row F seat 42. They were on the end of the Row across the aisle from me. They were both stunners , but the blonde in the orange , wowser.
Griffo Posted 9 April, 2009 Author Posted 9 April, 2009 The Watford fans are having a bit of a go about our club/support on their match thread..
