apparently saints fans are a joke. what a bunch of ******* morons at least we cheer on our team.

What a sad, deluded twxt! Their support was deafingly silent until they scored their second and then I just about heard a chant of "you're not singing any more" - totally ironic from fans who hadn't been singing all game until they took the lead.

I thought our support was excellent vocally and the numbers we took for a midweek game. I think there was a large element of thinking we are possibly f'cked anyway so what the hell just shout and sing for the lads and play your part in helping. As for his remark about us and the team celebrating what could still be a crucial point when we looked doomed, what do they expect?

I notice his criticism of us taking the pxss out of their non-existent backing rather than supporting our team (!) is followed by then taking the pxss out of Luton.

I feel we really could and should have won this but saying that they did miss a few sitters too. Very entertaining game IMO though.

I think Surman took the 2nd one as it wasn't as central as the first and was far more suited to a left footer. Surprised nobody else has noticed this.

i noticed it BUT JPS was on a high and no disrespect to Surman BUT he is hardly a world fmous free kick taker.

the headlines were there , centre back scores hattrick, the fates were with us

he should have taken it

You're right it wasn't as central and also it was closer to goal, i'm not sure that JPS would have been up to get it up and over the wall as easily.

Also agree with many others that David McGoldrick was superb last night.

Sadly, Surman had no problem whatsoever getting it over the wall!

We'll was a good game i felt. Would deffinatly have taken the point after Euell missed his 2nd sitter. I just could't believe that one. It was like a pass you do to a toddler, no power etc. The team played better then Saturday that is for sure. The defence however still seemed a bit confused with one another which was worrying. Davis made some good saves again, he is the only consistent player this season.

Wotte got it all wrong. Some of his decisions were baffeling. Size saved his ass with that other worldly strike. If you get a chance to see the replay do, if it was Beckham or Ronaldo everyone would be saying genius. Was superb and the fans reaction was up there with my fav momments this year, it is why i love away games. Makes me glad i go.

And that is what i love about it. You got so many different personalities on this board. The most vocal are normally the ones who don't spend a single penny supporting Saints and will shout your view down in a heart beat. But the people who go to the games and the near 2000 who went to this one in particular do this club proud. I have no doubt whatsoever that i will see the same people next season at the less glamerous grounds in league one. So as Andy Gray would say "take a bow son".

We got 5 games left, 2 points from safety. It is not over untill it is over. It was always going to be difficult for us, but we have a chance, we can do it!

But if Wotte keeps making the same mistakes then our chances become slimmer.

Smith and Wotten were poor, amateur league poor. Lets hope that they improve if called upon.

If you want to say Ryan Smith is poor, then you are making a mistake. If you ask who was poor last night, that should be Kelvin Davis.

Davis was not poor last night! He once again made some classic saves. Smith was ****, he did nothing, gave the ball away so many times. His crosses were under 10's standard.

A lot good and a lot bad tonight, but most of all frustration because there is ability to be far higher in the league. If they'd played with that desire against charlton they'd have won. 4 points would have put us in a great position now.blah blah blah etc. etc.

Our support was superb, Watfords was terrible. Really terrible.

Overall, great ending, fantastic goal, and as ever, that tiny grain of hope preserved to smack us all in the face at a later date.

Just about sums up my thoughts on the game, well put.

Drew Surman is really starting to wind me up now, whatever money we can get for him in the summer (assuming we are in a position to be selling etc.etc.) would be a bonus. I have moaned at people for berating Smith while giving the likes of Surman and Lallana support after a numerous number of bad games but Smith really took the **** last night. I was desperate for him to try and beat his man but everything was so predictable.

Leaving the ground last night I couldn't help but think, despite being in the relegation zone, despite being in administration, I would still rather be supporting saints with the chaps in attendance last night than support ****ing Watford. St Mary's has some quiet games where the away supporters really show us up but never anything as dreary and dull as the home support last night. Really shocking.
