St Marco Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 After reading so many opinions over the past week or so i think it would be good for historical reference in the future to find out who the fans think is most responsible for our situation. The point of it is not slag people off for their opinion if it differs from yours. The point is simply to see in % numbers terms who the fans see as the person/persons responsible. The best time to do this poll is now. So if the mods could set it up that would be great. I haved paid my cash to this website so am calling in the ability to make a poll So Who Do You Hold Most Responsible For Our Situation? 1. Rupert Lowe 2. Michael Wilde 3. Leon Crouch 4. Rupert Lowe and Michael Wilde 5. Michael Wilde and Leon Crouch 6. Michael Wilde, Ken Delieu and Their Board 7. The Managers Redknapp,Burley,Dodd and Gorman,Pearson, Jan and Wotte 8. The Players 9. The Fans 10. A Combination Of Everything I think that covers all of them? Me personally i hold most responsible Lowe and Wilde.
Minty Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 With respect, do we really need another blame thread? Move on.
St Marco Posted 7 April, 2009 Author Posted 7 April, 2009 With respect, do we really need another blame thread? Move on. Not a blame thread, a blame poll. There are 300 threads with people who offer their opinion. But the point of this thread is to see in numbers who thinks what. There are many people who don't talk on this forum but read. This is their chance to say what they think. As for moving on, why? It is important the people who care about the club say what they think. Some might not like what they will say, some might not want them to even have a chance to say it. But in months times no doubt like with everything people will claim xyz about the fans. The poll will show what they really felt/thought.
St Marco Posted 7 April, 2009 Author Posted 7 April, 2009 Pointless. As Minty said time to move on. How is it pointless?
Saint Benali Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Poll is a good idea. Same people saying the same things in every thread. My vote is Michael Wilde
SaintDonkey Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 It's time to stop the blame game. Can we stop creating yet more divisive threads like this and get behind the team?

But in months times no doubt like with everything people will claim xyz about the fans. The poll will show what they really felt/thought. And the point of that is...? Sorry, not having a pop and I understand that you're not asking for yet another thread with everyone stating their opinion and slating anyone who disagrees, which is fine, but what will the poll actually achieve? What purpose will it serve?

Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Even the people listed above who still care for the club and are still involved (i.e. Crouch) are saying "lets move on - no more blame - survival is the most important thing now". Why can't you? In fact, I think in the interests of the club and positivity, the MODs should ban and delete all future threads started that involve Lowe and Wilde. They're history - look to the future even if it is in L1.
um pahars Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 (edited) People all have their own opinions on this and I very much doubt that they will be swayed from them, so therefore I have to agree that we would do better if we just put all this behind us and moved on. I think we should all be careful to ensure the same mistakes are not repeated, but we now have to look forward and try and ignore anyone who attempts to rake up the past, or who causes division or rancour. PS the last bit was not aimed at St Marco, more at those prevously associated with our Club who seem intent on continuing to drag it's name through the mud. Edited 7 April, 2009 by um pahars The PS
St Marco Posted 7 April, 2009 Author Posted 7 April, 2009 And the point of that is...? Sorry, not having a pop and I understand that you're not asking for yet another thread with everyone stating their opinion and slating anyone who disagrees, which is fine, but what will the poll actually achieve? What purpose will it serve? It will show that in months years to come what people think/thought at the time. Like a mori poll or something. In the future this forum will not have as many people as it has now, so the poll would be better if it was done now to give it a less biased result. I think personally it would be good to see those numbers, see what the fans think. It is not a thread to stir up anger. I can support the team but still have an opinion on who is most at fault. Sure most people are the same.
sambosa75 Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Wilde and Crouch In my opinion, Lowe has made mistakes but none drove us to quite as much debt as when these two were in charge.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Wide for bringing Lowe back and Lowe for getting rid of Pearson and insisting on Total Dutch useless football.
Colinjb Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Can we have a 'I don't ****ing care anymore can we just get with it' reply?
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Can we have a 'I don't ****ing care anymore can we just get with it' reply? Rupert Murdoch - for changing football into a sport where people can make money.

Sure most people are the same. LOL. The poll would be Lowe by an absolute landslide, it's ridiculous you're even making out you don't know what result it would return. And it won't be anything like a MORI poll, just a two day argument on a web forum. Seriously, move on.
sidthesquid Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Do mean we've never had this thread before? I thought this was one of Stanley's rhetorical questions again. What is the point of it?
trousers Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Do mean we've never had this thread before? I thought this was one of Stanley's rhetorical questions again. What is the point of it? So that people can ask what the point of it is?

Neil Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Guy Askham is ultimately the single most responsible person for the situation we're now in, if you're taking a holistic view of Saints history. Of course Lowe (the man Askham let in) should shoulder a lot of the blame for dividing the fanbase, and Wilde for allowing Whisky George to **** up £7m and commit us to ridiculous wages.
Minty Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Rupert Murdoch - for changing football into a sport where people can make money. Seconded. That's where it all stems from... but then that's a whole different thread for a whole different day.
St Landrew Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 Rupert Murdoch - for changing football into a sport where people can make [MAJOR] money. 100% agreement. Which, incidentally is one of the reasons [there are more significant others] why I have never had SKY, and never will.
