Redondo Saint Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Has there been any news/comments from his meeting on Monday?
OldNick Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 They threw him out as he ate all the cakes and biscuits before the pot of tea arrived
Ken Tone Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 What could there be? He's made a gesture of offering to help, but really is in no positon to be much help. No news. K.
Legod Third Coming Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 What could there be? He's made a gesture of offering to help, but really is in no positon to be much help. No news. K. Au contraire. I doubt Lineker put much into Leicester financially. MLT is a figurehead - something we have lacked for too long!
John B Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Au contraire. I doubt Lineker put much into Leicester financially. MLT is a figurehead - something we have lacked for too long! Lineker is seriously wealthy he used to live in a huge mansion in Sunningdale
Legod Third Coming Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Lineker is seriously wealthy he used to live in a huge mansion in Sunningdale Aye, but it's about contacts not about your own cash when it comes to these sort of deals.
trousers Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Lineker is seriously wealthy he used to live in a huge mansion in Sunningdale So did mid-to-late 80s pop and R&B legends '5-Star'.....
Legod Third Coming Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 So did mid-to-late 80s pop and R&B legends '5-Star'..... Are they in the running?
John B Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Aye, but it's about contacts not about your own cash when it comes to these sort of deals. Yes I agree but Lineker put in cash I seem to remember I am not sure what MLT can do I dont think he is a household name like Lineker and Shearer outside Hampshire.
John B Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Are they in the running? That was Spencer Davis in the 1960s keep on running.
Window Cleaner Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Lineker is seriously wealthy he used to live in a huge mansion in Sunningdale Lineker made serious money from the game, must have made a packet at Barcelona, also from England appearances. Lineker's share of his various transfers probably topped a million £, a fair bit of money in those days. You could get a mansion in Sunningdale for half of that then. I doubt if MLT actually made much money from the game to be honest.
captain sensible Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Has there been any news/comments from his meeting on Monday? Burger King is better than Mc Donalds!
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 I am not sure what MLT can do I dont think he is a household name like Lineker and Shearer outside Hampshire. If you know of Football you will know of MLT whatever county your in, his goals feature in many football videos etc..

John B Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 If you know of Football you will know of MLT whatever county your in, his goals feature in many football videos etc.. Yes but not a household name like Lineker Hansen Shearer Keegan Ball Gazza etc I would have thought
Arizona Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 I believe MLT is the figurehead of a consortium of local takeaway restaurants, trying to take over Saints.
Legod Third Coming Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Yes I agree but Lineker put in cash I seem to remember I am not sure what MLT can do I dont think he is a household name like Lineker and Shearer outside Hampshire. I've seen Matty at the Cottage in Winkfield having lunch with Beefy and various other sporting and famous luminaries after a game of golf down at Wentworth. It's not about who knows you, but whom you know!! He would be a great figurehead and knows enough people in the media and within sport to get a good story across. That's what you need. If he doesn't put a bean in, it wouldn't matter because he would put heart and soul in!
VectisSaint Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Au contraire. I doubt Lineker put much into Leicester financially. MLT is a figurehead - something we have lacked for too long! Perhaps MLT could follow Linekers example and make some money from advertising, then donate to the Club. Burger King springs to mind

Redondo Saint Posted 7 April, 2009 Author Posted 7 April, 2009 I guess that means there are no comments from his meeting!
Big John Posted 7 April, 2009 Posted 7 April, 2009 Yes I agree but Lineker put in cash I seem to remember I am not sure what MLT can do I dont think he is a household name like Lineker and Shearer outside Hampshire. He is John B. Everyone who was involved with the game whilst the others played would know about Matt too. Ask anyone to name you the clubs that Lineker played for, then ask the same about Matt. Everone knows the answer cos everyone knows Matt. He is MASSIVE in the game my friend.
skintsaint Posted 8 April, 2009 Posted 8 April, 2009 whenever I speak to Aussies who follow football they all know who MLT is.
