trousers Posted 14 April, 2009 Posted 14 April, 2009 Tho' think it's John O'Sullivan - wasn't he something to do with the commercial goings-on? More likely to be John Sullivan knowing Saints?

trousers Posted 14 April, 2009 Posted 14 April, 2009 Surely that effing enormous Omega watch is worth a fair few quid? Selling that should keep us going for a couple more weeks. There's a similar model on EBAY for $1,340 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OMEGA-Rare-CONSTELLATION-Two-Tone-WALL-CLOCK-80s_W0QQitemZ390024735774QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item390024735774&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177

dubai_phil Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 Bit of a 'camel hoof' going on in this pic... ...the Arabs are coming, the Arabs are coming!!! Toes my friend, toes.... Knowing our luck, the only "Arabs" with any interest in anything to do with Southampton will be the Somali immigrants from Yemen with speed boats and AK47's... Mind you they seem to have lots of cash around at the moment... That's it gang - lets get out into the Solent and hijack ourselves a nice Supertanker - Rupe's said he wanted to help so we can borrow his duckhunting guns - piece of cake!
Big Bad Bob Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 Hmmm....this rumour has wings.... (cue a joke from someone else about his ex-wife and legs....) Matthew Le God Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 I think it was around at about the time my dad was stationed in Germany. We didn't really get much english telly out there!! duuuuuuuuuring the war?
Big Bad Bob Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 duuuuuuuuuring the war? LOL, I'm old but not that old.....we used to get BFBS which was about 2 or 3 weeks behind. And the first program broadcast live on this mega-bucks microwave link was Eastenders IIRC!!

Knoiw what you mean... my dada was stationed in Germany between 77-83 (between being 8 and 14 years old) and had BFBS as the only footie source - which was crap, had to listen to scores on the old radio...
slickmick Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 Knoiw what you mean... my dada was stationed in Germany between 77-83 (between being 8 and 14 years old) and had BFBS as the only footie source - which was crap' date=' had to listen to scores on the old radio...[/quote'] Your only 40 ???? you come across a lot older than that.
Lets B Avenue Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 Your only 40 ???? you come across a lot older than that. I thought he meant his "dada" was 8 in 1977 and therefore, the youngest serving soldier.
slickmick Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 I thought he meant his "dada" was 8 in 1977 and therefore, the youngest serving soldier. That would make him even younger. Perhaps he meant his grandson was stationed in Germany.
dubai_phil Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 OK let me see if I have got this straight. Rodney, who served in the British Armed forces in Germany in the late 1970's and who is into farming Mange Tout is buying the club. Should be easy enough to find on google
Matthew Le God Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 I'm old but not that old "During the war" was another Only Fools and Horses quote

My money's on him...The steward on the right i used to live in the same road as a kid and used to go to the games with him and my brother. Queueing up at 11 in the morning just to try and get in first to get to the front of the Archers.

mulletsaint Posted 15 April, 2009 Posted 15 April, 2009 What are you lot on about? Surely that is none other than Christopher Biggins! Maybe he's doing some research on what it's like to be in a real pantomime.
