Bit of a 'camel hoof' going on in this pic...

...the Arabs are coming, the Arabs are coming!!!

Toes my friend, toes....

Knowing our luck, the only "Arabs" with any interest in anything to do with Southampton will be the Somali immigrants from Yemen with speed boats and AK47's...

Mind you they seem to have lots of cash around at the moment...

That's it gang - lets get out into the Solent and hijack ourselves a nice Supertanker - Rupe's said he wanted to help so we can borrow his duckhunting guns - piece of cake!

Hmmm....this rumour has wings....

(cue a joke from someone else about his ex-wife and legs....)

The only one I know is :-

q : "What dog's got Wings"

a : "Linda McCartney"

Am I showing my age??

P.S. I have nothing to add about who, what or where regarding any takeover

duuuuuuuuuring the war?

LOL, I'm old but not that old.....we used to get BFBS which was about 2 or 3 weeks behind. So no Grandstand, no live sports :(

Just before we came back to the UK they updated the microwave link from the UK to Germany so we could get live telly.

And the first program broadcast live on this mega-bucks microwave link was Eastenders IIRC!!

Knoiw what you mean... my dada was stationed in Germany between 77-83 (between being 8 and 14 years old) and had BFBS as the only footie source - which was crap, had to listen to scores on the old radio...

I thought he meant his "dada" was 8 in 1977 and therefore, the youngest serving soldier.:D

That would make him even younger. Perhaps he meant his grandson was stationed in Germany. ;)

OK let me see if I have got this straight.

Rodney, who served in the British Armed forces in Germany in the late 1970's and who is into farming Mange Tout is buying the club.

Should be easy enough to find on google

Who's the inscrutable looking chap on the left, inbetween the blonde and the guy in the scarf.

My money's on him...

The steward on the right i used to live in the same road as a kid and used to go to the games with him and my brother. Queueing up at 11 in the morning just to try and get in first to get to the front of the Archers.
