The guy must have wondered what the hell he had done to be booed everytime he did anything. Surely looking like a Pompey player doesn't qualify you to get booed......

He played quite well too, surely nobody really thought that was Primus? He certainly hasn't got as much pace as Youga did....

He played quite well too

He was alright, but I don't think the Charlton left sided players were overly taxed by our right flank. He did however, take the best fresh air shot and fall over when the ball rolled to him about twenty-five yards out, in the first half.

Is someone referring to their left-back as playing well? He was shocking! I was thinking all game who was worse, Jake Thompson or their left-back. I plumped for Jake Thompson, he was truly shocking and by no means is a right-back.

I did think it was Primus, apologies to Youga - funny thing was he seemed to play like him as well...

Mind you, Primus would be a welcome addition to our back four at the moment....

Can we get Johnny Viafara back please???

Think Wotton has got the 'old clogger who can't pass to save his life' role well and truly covered.

Back to the OP, I seem to remember a few years ago Man Utd were playing Celtic in CL. The mancs were booing Neil Lennon for having the same surname as someone from Liverpool. :|

At least JV had a bit of energy and athleticism about him and good could get up and down the pitch. I'd have him over Wotton any day of the week, he was poor yesterday as well.

Wotton was dreadful and really pi***d me off when I saw him giving young Thomson a rollicking. He may not have had the best of games but was totally unprotected. What was Wotte thinking of playing Lallana in front of him?

Not saying Wotton is good, but I wouldn't say JV is either. Yes he had a good engine, but what's the point if you give the ball away as soon as he gets it. Also dropped us in it with a few needless free kicks and penalties.

I thought Youga looked shaky at the start but then played well once the Northam started booing him. Whoops poor mistake apart from the hair he did not look like our Linvoy.

I did think that, he really did get some stick, i said why are they booing him ? to which my dad replied i think it is primus, it clearly wasn't.

The air shot was one of the best moments, that and the massive cheer for one of charltons goal kicks cos they thought it was a penalty, both classic.

From where I was sitting he seemed to have an awful game. The only time he managed to look mediocre was going forward. Except for 'that' shot....

Their best player by far was that Jonjo chap who scored their first. Put our forwards to shame. Oh and for an international captain Zheng Zhi was total crap.

They are pretty similar, you must admit !

I hope that somebody tells the lad just why he was booed, otherwise he may get a complex about it !

The funny thing was that he had his back to the Northam with the name on his shirt clearly visable and some moron started calling a skate bastard, no wonder every other footy fan thinks we're complete ****s:(

PMSL

I didn't realise they were booing him because they thought he was Primus

Without doubt, the most entertaining part of Saturday

To booing of a player who has probably never set foot in Portsmouth was one of the single most moronic things I've ever seen at a football match

LMFAO, but typical of Saints fans - ****ing stupid.
