Nexstar Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Turning up to their first league game this season to enable them to buy a ticket to see us play manchester united, plastic fans? Yes, it could be argued. Turning up to watch the team they support who has just entered administration, with the most hated board for years resigning and the club needing them now more than ever? No, NOW SUPPORT THE BLOODY TEAM
Nexstar Posted 4 April, 2009 Author Posted 4 April, 2009 what Various people waving seaosn tickets in the northam singing against plastic fans.
sotonjoe Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Idiots if true. They moan when fans stay away and then moan when they come back.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Various people waving seaosn tickets in the northam singing against plastic fans. didnt hear that - thought atmosphere was generally very good and was nice being sat back in the Itchen wing.....just a shame about the result and smug away fans
slickmick Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 It was when we went 3 v 1 down, rats deserting sinking ship by leaving early. Rightly booed.
OldNick Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 It was when we went 3 v 1 down, rats deserting sinking ship by leaving early. Rightly booed. Yep they took loads of stick. It in fact rejuvenated the fans for a while.Disappointed so many songs about Pompey today and the red and white chant that has gone around the stadium for the last few games was not started up.Th e Northam tried their best as always but I didnt think the atmosphere was as good as I had hoped
alpine_saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Various people waving seaosn tickets in the northam singing against plastic fans. Hardly surprised. Let's face it, posters on here make judgements about the validity of their fellow poster's posts based on their known attendance patterns.
Mewsta Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I'm pretty sure they were waving them at BWP whilst singing he robs from the skates..... Well that's all I saw them doing!
saints_is_the_south Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 The amount of people who walked out from the Kingsland corner after only the 2nd goal was quite staggering & quite rightly given some stick.
Nexstar Posted 4 April, 2009 Author Posted 4 April, 2009 I'm pretty sure they were waving them at BWP whilst singing he robs from the skates..... Well that's all I saw them doing! "he hates plastic fans, he hates plastic fans, bradley-wright phillips, he hates platic fans" That's what they were singing.
OldNick Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Hardly surprised. We all know yours Alps.Living in Austria may be a godsend, you dont have to turn up and face the disappointments.
Griffo Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Last season Itchen North was quality, today it was ****ing awful. There was only about 10 of us singing in block 4 (normal season ticket seats.) and the Northam turned on the Kingsland corner singing '******s, ******s, ******s'.
Um Bongo Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I'm pretty sure they were waving them at BWP whilst singing he robs from the skates..... Well that's all I saw them doing! They were singing: He hates plastic fans, he hates plastic fans, bradley wright phillips, he hates plastic fans.

southamptonfclegend Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 tbh they showed their true colours when we went 3-1 down, we're not winning lets leave bet they won't be there for the other two games... thanks a f*ck... and tbh if they want to wave their season tickets around its fair enough they bought 'em and have supported the team all season instead of just coming for one game or maybe two (Man Utd) what a f*cking joke...
EFM Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Turning up to their first league game this season to enable them to buy a ticket to see us play manchester united, plastic fans? Yes, it could be argued. Turning up to watch the team they support who has just entered administration, with the most hated board for years resigning and the club needing them now more than ever? No, NOW SUPPORT THE BLOODY TEAM Truly pathetic. The same wxnkers who called the capacity crowd last game of the season "glory hunters" I imagine. Yep, right, turning up in droves to will and shout your team on to avoiding relegation to Div 1 really is glory hunting isn't it. If it was to those leaving early then maybe a fair point but if to true fans who turned out in numbers because everyone knows we need to rally round at the moment it really is sad behaviour from complete no marks.

There was only about 10 of us singing in block 4 (normal season ticket seats.) and the Northam turned on the Kingsland corner singing '******s, ******s, ******s'. Rightfully so. Leaving the team with just over 20 minutes to go was terrible.

The bit I saw on the Northam was at the fans who were leaving 25 minutes to go. I didnt see fans waving their s/ts to others.
Griffo Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Itchen was ****ing ****. For the people that want to sit in the Itchen North 1-4 for the next 2 home games, can you sing please? Was awful today. If you came back today and realised Itchen is for singing, standing and banter, please sit elsewhere for the next 2 home games?
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 The only hostility i saw in the kingsland corner was when the fans left on 70 mins, bloody disgrace aswell if you ask me. That and the nob that spat over everyone whilst shouting about how he had won 100 quid on the grand national and then asked for a fight with the bloke about 4 times his size. Nice one mate.... everyone else was here for the football
EFM Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 The bit I saw on the Northam was at the fans who were leaving 25 minutes to go. I didnt see fans waving their s/ts to others. Ok, just make me eat my own words why don't ya :-) I hope you're right as I cannot stand the "better fan than you" attitude that seems to have crept in this season. As I said, if it was at those leaving so early then I can understand the sentiment.

Papa Shango Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 People who leave early deserve to be booed. I've never understood why people do it.
Jillyanne Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 People who leave early deserve to be booed. I've never understood why people do it. Because paying to watch ****e is not acceptable maybe - not rocket science is it really.
OldNick Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Because paying to watch ****e is not acceptable maybe - not rocket science is it really. On a day when we as fans were showing the world how good we are. Lol. People who give up like that are not missed IMO
alpine_saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 On a day when we as fans were showing the world how good we are. Lol. People who give up like that are not missed IMO I am sure Mr. Fry is absolutely in agreement with you
VectisSaint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Rightfully so. Leaving the team with just over 20 minutes to go was terrible. Still at least they were there for 70 minutes, the team didn't turn up at all. Noice in the Itchen North was pretty good, especially in the first half. Quite honestly the atmosphere was dead adfter Charlton scored the second. Did the Northam make any noise today, cos we didn't hear much of them. Course it could just be the acoustics.
alpine_saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Rightfully so. Leaving the team with just over 20 minutes to go was terrible. Less terrible than players and manager not turning up at all.
OldNick Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I am sure Mr. Fry is absolutely in agreement with you It depends how you look at it , I dont think those people are needed.
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I have to say though most of the support today was fantastic, crap performance aside it was good to see the stadium full again and to hear the support, kept singing even after the first goal.
wimbornesaint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 From the Chapel stand it looked like just as many were heading out of the Northam until the singing stopped them!
OldNick Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Less terrible than players and manager not turning up at all.Radio hants strikes again. The players did not play well but they did want to win but had a very bad day and perhaps the events of the week did catch up. Wotte had little option with the players available
1976_Child Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Various people waving seaosn tickets in the northam singing against plastic fans. yeah, idiots. Agreed. Waving your season ticket and showing how large a **** you have/are towards those fans who have turned out this time, but not other times, is puerile jack-ass arrogance.
70's Mike Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 yeah, idiots. Agreed. Waving your season ticket and showing how large a **** you have/are towards those fans who have turned out this time, but not other times, is puerile jack-ass arrogance. never happened
1976_Child Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 never happened sorry mate, it did happen. Just behind me in the northam. thankfully only for a minute or so right at the start of the game, and only by 20 odd people, but it did happen.. shamefully

John B Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 sorry mate, it did happen. Just behind me in the northam. thankfully only for a minute or so right at the start of the game, and only by 20 odd people, but it did happen.. shamefully I thought the whole idea was to get people in so as to get money to in order for us to survive. Being unpleasant to people who for their own reasons want to leave early will probably mean that they will not return which means less revenue and ultimately less success.

wessex saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I sat in the Kingsland with my boy. I made the mistake of going for a pee after Charlton had scored their third. I had dozens of people screaming at me 'W****rs'. I came back to watch the rest of the game with my son who was actually a bit frightened and wanted to go home. FFS - what makes all you chavs in the Northam act like you share one brain cell??? If some fans did leave after 70 mins so what?? They paid for their ticket and have a right to do whatever they want. Saints actually need these fans to turn up every week to boost the gate and hence revenue. Your actions today probably alienated a good few fans. We've obviously got a long long way to go before the fan base is united. Please please do a little bit of growing up and realise that not every Saints fan HAS to think the same way as you do. And yes - before you ask ,I've been going to Saints for 28 yrs. I've never seen such juvenile vitriol aimed at fellow Saints fans. Really sad.

I thought it ****ing shameful too. In fact most of us did.
saintinlondon Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 sorry mate, it did happen. Just behind me in the northam. thankfully only for a minute or so right at the start of the game, and only by 20 odd people, but it did happen.. shamefully I wanted to start a thread on this. Nextar I am right with you and 1976 I am afraid you are wrong it went on quite a bit. ****ing idiots. made me s angry of the short sightedness of the lot of them. appreciate their loyalty but they are brainless morons.
70's Mike Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 oi. Don't tar me with the same brush! I thought it ****ing shameful too. In fact most of us did. lets face 1.5 blocks of the Northam were plastics today anyway because those seats have been segrated most of the season
1976_Child Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 lets face 1.5 blocks of the Northam were plastics today anyway because those seats have been segrated most of the season well said. Funny how the Northam fills up on games where, co-incidentally the chav-factor goes through the roof too.
wessex saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Apologies - I used to stand in Northam myself FFs. Just frustrated at the attitude of some which has put my son off coming to SMS. Sure I'll talk him round - just would be nice to live in a world where Saints fans got on rather than the 'I'm a better fan than you' ******** that so many Saints fans are obsessed with.
niceandfriendly Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Shame that some people like wessex saint were bundled in with the abuse, but what is the point in turning up to a game only to leave on 70 minutes because we were 3-1 down? Or was that exactly it? To "make a point"? To all those who left so early, shame on you, you deserved all the abuse you got. In a time where all fans needed to stay together to support the team, you all thought "**** it".

bungle Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Saints fans (or they will claim they are) who left with 20 to go got some abuse but should have got more.
Mark`` Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I'm 16 and i can't afford to attend many games but i went today with about 5 or 6 mates and sat in the family enclosure. We was chanting and singing just about the whole game. we managed to get about 3 chants going on our own in our section. Was fun. going to the palace game on easter monday. Should be a great atmosphere again. homefully we can get the family enclosur going again, people were turning around and making faces at us lmfao.
