saint lard Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 In fact it makes no difference whatsoever. We will go down because we'll get docked 10 points. The players probably know that anyway and know that whatever they may do or say they'll be either up the road or on p*ss poor pay in Lge 1 next season anyway. This is why I didn't bother to go over, bought my ticket but limited the expense to that cos it's a game for nothing. I think this is nailed on.IMO.
NY Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Any idea of the attendance figure yet? Lots of people on Saintslist were suggesting its close to a sell out (bar the bits that are closed)
Bromley Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 It sounds far too easy for Charlton at the moment.
Ohio Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I'm wearing my Saints shirt today for this....First time since the cup final!.....I mean, it ain't like anyone around here even knows Southampton exists!.....Wifey thinks I've lost my marbles.
Window Cleaner Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Euell offside and headed wide anyway. What do you expect, he's playing for free just like any bloke on Sholing rec of a Sunday afty.
dubai_phil Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 still at least we have match-winners to come off the bench later... doh yessss DMG
Bromley Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 McGoldrick makes it 1-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Micky Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 lol Could somebody explain why Charlton are more up for this game than we are? I think the penny may have dropped for some. We may be in administration and looking for new owner and have renewed optismism for the future. There maybe more fans in the stadium - but at the end of the day we have the same team on the park. We are a place higher than Charlton - who are woeful - so lets not think that we have a team of world beaters. Time to dig in and work hard now.... graft on the pitch is the only way to get out of this.

We're not getting out of it this time because of the points deduction, but after the huge turnout today and potential investors in the wings, we needed to win today to keep them inyterested ...why does this commentator keep talking about Watford score being bad....oh get the **** in!!!!!!! COY****ing R's!!!! 1-1
Micky Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Yikes - f u c k - get in - just as I was doubting too.....
NY Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Woohoo! McG!! ANd the commentators just answered my question - 28,000
Micky Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Anybody listening on radio - What does it sound like in SMS?
sydney_saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 ****ing hell after reading ohio's post i decided to put on my le tiss shirt, then we score !!! not trying to steal your thunder btw mate still a long way to go in this game
Bromley Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Anybody listening on radio - What does it sound like in SMS? The crowd were quiet after Charlton took the lead, but after DMcG equalised, they are now in much better voice! COYR!
saint lard Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Anybody listening on radio - What does it sound like in SMS? Constant barrage of singing from Saints fans.
Saint Billy Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 ANyone else getting a drop of a tear yet? Been crying them for a few years!
Viking Warrior Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Very noisy but the commentator is not helping
Ohio Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Relegation issues aside, I'm sure the players are aware of the fact that they need to make themselves marketable for their next signing by playing their best
Window Cleaner Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 McGoldrick makes it 1-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good ,jacking up his transfer value a bit;
LVSaint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Anybody listening on radio - What does it sound like in SMS? louder....and happier
dubai_phil Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Anybody listening on radio - What does it sound like in SMS? Was very quiet - we were bad Wotte very stressed then now very noisy Wotte jumping and kicking every ball yadda yadda yadda DMG seemed to have fouled someone before going on and scoring lots of appeals by Charlton
Ohio Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 ****ing hell after reading ohio's post i decided to put on my le tiss shirt, then we score !!! not trying to steal your thunder btw mate still a long way to go in this game Stealing thunder? No, you just proved it works!!
CanadaSaint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 I think this is nailed on.IMO. I'm not sure the deduction is nailed on because, while it might be the right thing to do "in principle", they'd have to break their own rules to do it and might well face legal action. We may well get away with it and they'll close the loophole later. Anyway, we have to play as though it's not going to happen.

I've not had internet access for a while, and ergo have missed the discussion on this, but I thought if we got a points deduction after the deadline, then the points deduction happened next season? Anyone elaborate on this? All in all I'm confused about the current situation. Hope it gets sorted. UTS.
Ohio Saint Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 louder....and happier I disagree.... Happier and louder IMO. Proves you know notjing about footy.
offix Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 Dropping a tear? Win this one, and find a buyer this week, and I'll be crying buckets! We may still go down, but if the club is still alive after this season I will definitely cry.
dubai_phil Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 the commentator suffers from John Motsonitis - except on radio you actually need to know what is going on rather than why some bloke isn't playing for Lille any longer. WAY too much useless figures and opinion - what's happening on the pitch you fool
dubai_phil Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 [enalty Charlton moment of madness from Saejis fighting amongst themselves
lamanga Posted 4 April, 2009 Posted 4 April, 2009 ****ITY DO DAH, Saejs ****s it up - penalty to them
