saintsforlife7 Posted 3 April, 2009 Share Posted 3 April, 2009 (edited) Anybody know any good websites for good boots at cheap prices? Of course Pro-direct soccer is one, but I wondered if anybody had any unknown sites that have some quality deals on? SaintKenny Posted 3 April, 2009 Share Posted 3 April, 2009 SportsDirect in West Quay has cheapest prices, better than Pro-direct for the majority.

saint_stevo Posted 6 April, 2009 Share Posted 6 April, 2009 Mine lasted about 6 months mate, worn twice a week. Avoid Astroturf with em i would say. I am never wearing blades again, pretty sure they contributed to my hideous knee injury and following 4 months unable to walk pain free. Oh well, specialist tomorrow

Oh well, specialist tomorrow Well aside from the game at St Mary's i was hoping to wear them at the Roko where i play my five-a-side...the surface is descibed as: covered in the latest technology' date=' new-generation rubber crumb playing surface. These state-of-the-art pitches mean you get a natural looking surface that performs like grass, provides cushioning to reduce stress on the knees and ankles and eliminates skin burns and abrasions. You'll be playing on the same surface enjoyed by PSV Eindhoven and the French National Team, along with other top European clubs. We also have a large grass 11-a-side pitch available to hire.[/quote'] They'll be alright on there you reckon?
SaintKenny Posted 6 April, 2009 Share Posted 6 April, 2009 Will be fine at SMS, not sure how comfy they will be on astro-ish surface though, should be ok.

Should be ok, i play on the MUGGA pitches every week. (in fact most of the rubber is in my carpet now) But my original boots fell apart although i have put this down to leaving them in a bag in my boot for ages whilst wet. Think more rot than anything. From now on i air them in the airing cupboard.
saint_stevo Posted 6 April, 2009 Share Posted 6 April, 2009 i play (ed) on the MUGGA pitches as well, down at Wildern and it rips the front away from your boots, and generally ruins them IMO
