bungle Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I hope we didn't just chuck it out? Surely the club could make a fortune by selling that now!
Arizona Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I knew that was coming, but I still lol'd. I wish we still had that 10 page thread from S4E. That was perhaps the funniest thing I have ever read on here.
dubai_phil Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Meanwhile in other news.......... Adminstrators at stricken Championship Club Southampton have this afternoon confirmed that no stone will be unturned in their quest to raise funds to keep the Football Club alive. Rumours exist of a last minute bid to purchase the bronze used to build the legendary Ted Bates statue. The attorney for the alleged purchasers (Steptoe & Son) said - "this offer represents the first firm bid for any related asset value held by SLH. As a former shareholder and Director contributed funds we believe that this allows the asset to be sold and that the donated funds could be returned to the trustees for a future project, obviously after deducting my fees. Mr B. Briefcase went on to add that he expected the trust to be able to share out around 75pence.... Elsewhere at the G20 protests Barclays office in Reading was today stormed by a protesting Saints fan
