I warned everyone that administration was not the way out, that it is not fun and games. There have been a few of us who have said it over and over. And now in my opinion, we are gone. I hope you all feel as ****ing **** as I do.

mmm yes because its all our fault isnt it :smt017

"I thought we were talking about hundreds of thousands... so just how does a club get 30m in debt??"

Its the stadium you stupid tart, what do you think FFS....

anyway- what's keeping me reasonably optimistic is- how many clubs have actually gone to the wall in the last 50 years- 2? Acrington sometime in the 60s, Aldershot early 90s. Many have gone into admin / other major financial problems but carried on (Leeds, Derby, Leicester etc)

Big issue though is of course the timing- it happens to us during worst global recession for 80 years...

Fellow fans - I can't get Solent either, but rest assured I'll be there on Saturday now for sure (Michelle - get us a ticket in Block 1).

The fact must be with Mr.Lowe out of the way - all the assets of SFC must be sold. The football club is just one of those items. The administrators will have to do their best for the creditors. This may mean selling the club for £1 - if the right package is on offer. I think Rupert has got the message - football is a working class game, funded by working class people. I don't think he will be back.

The shares they own are worthless as they belong to SLH and not SFC.

I think there will be many interested parties to see us through until the end of the season, and if we stay up - we will get the investment wanted for the last 4/5-years which Rupert et al never provided.

Not longer your club Mr Lowe - and you have very little say in the future (hopefully). Your legacy is St.Marys - like many I thought an exciting development. Looking back now - would these problems been avoided if still at The Dell?

Nail on the head. Lowe will probably make an offer, but he won't be able to compete with the other offers that will be on the table. IMHO

Just a thought but I wonder if this would still have happened if we had had a full house at every home game this season?

Any of us who haven't been to every home game (me included) could have done more to help I guess.

I think the point he was making was not that it was any of our fault but alot of the posters thought admin was the holy grail.

In reality, it really is not.

Perhaps it has removed the cancer but we may still be too weak to survive.

Problem is the financial climate, those that were once affluent, unfortunately now are not

Scarborough?

Boston?

Halifax?

Admittedly all smaller than us, but they've been Football League clubs within the last 25 years and are now tinpot non-league teams or, in Scarborough's case, gone altogether.

It has been commented on elsewhere.

If we had reached the end of the season who knows what could have happened "to the financial climate".

BUT at the same time we would likely have had to sell players to stay in business and that stadium bond was a millstone.

In any case the fans who stayed away for their principles should feel no more guilty than the players on huge contracts that we could shift, the clubs that didn't buy our players in January when we could have sold them, the bankers who didn't keep trying to help, but then all of that pales into insignificance at the real guilty parties who have made every mistake known to mankind in the past 6 years - those so called "mis"directors

So don't fret over the past it wasn't the fans fault, let's just wait and see how we can help out NOW

Our trouble is we have I think 4 or 5 players(amongst others) with ongoing contracts for at least next season compelling us to pay them a total of about 2 million £.

Unless we can cover that (that'd be 8000 or so STs at £320 (less VAT of course) it's no point flogging the dead horse any more. Those players need to realise that and agree to **** off for free.

SLH owns jacksons farm, and training ground

If these made up the debt, Saints would have a case.

Since 100% of the debt is from SFC, I expect a deduction of 10 points plus another penalty deduction for trying to fiddle the rules.

I expect SLH own the Stadium Subsidiary which is around 25mil of the debt. You can expect SLH have the overdraft as Barclays would want it against fixed assets rather than players

It ain't about how you get it, it's about where it is when the music stops, as long as it was legal

IMHO

I'm not saying it's the fans fault, I just hope those that were wishing and praying for it to happen realise what this could do for us.

I must admit that this situation we are in is not as scary as people made out a couple of months ago! I for one am feeling quite confident today! I am also soooooo happy that the "unusual suspects" have all gone.:)

I might even fly over for one of the last home games!

I thought the employees of a company were like all other creditors when it comes to administration/liquidation? They have to wait in line for payment, which is why the PFA often step in to help pay wages in times like this. Of course, when these highly paid players are told to 'get in the queue' they can always just walk...
