Topcat Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 ....after this record I will be chatting to Sylvia Simms..... Yes its our cr*p local station.....
scott_saints Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 So we're going to struggle to find any buyers? F**k.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Administrators always are like that. They want people to be shocked into bidding quickly.
Scummer Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Bloody Solent. Obviously think their listeners would rather hear M People.........
WealdSaint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Trying to stay positive, all we know is that Lowe/Wilde could'nt find a buyer. Now they have gone maybe the field will open up.
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I assume that the conference will be streamed in full at some point, i will be on the look out today and if i find it will let you know, if anyone else does will they kindly let me know ???!!
slickmick Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Fecking Solent are sh1te, they would rather talk to Silvia bloody Sims than the most potentially important day in the clubs history. No football club means a lot of lost listeners.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I warned everyone that administration was not the way out, that it is not fun and games. There have been a few of us who have said it over and over. And now in my opinion, we are gone. I hope you all feel as ****ing **** as I do.
Topcat Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p001d7rv A pic of the lady that cut her show into the conference...... 2 bag job?
JustMike Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I warned everyone that administration was not the way out, that it is not fun and games. There have been a few of us who have said it over and over. And now in my opinion, we are gone. I hope you all feel as ****ing **** as I do. mmm yes because its all our fault isnt it :smt017
derry Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 No. Don't ask the follow up question Is it the one's you didn't name that you thought might not happen:rolleyes:?
trousers Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Because I will not answer it. Fair dos, but what's the question you won't answer?
Franny's Tash Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 "I thought we were talking about hundreds of thousands... so just how does a club get 30m in debt??" Its the stadium you stupid tart, what do you think FFS.... anyway- what's keeping me reasonably optimistic is- how many clubs have actually gone to the wall in the last 50 years- 2? Acrington sometime in the 60s, Aldershot early 90s. Many have gone into admin / other major financial problems but carried on (Leeds, Derby, Leicester etc) Big issue though is of course the timing- it happens to us during worst global recession for 80 years...
dubai_phil Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Why not? You were warned Suggest that you now change your locks Have a nice day
LGTL Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Because I will not answer it. Why mention anything at all then? If you aren't going to share, keep everything to yourself.
trousers Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 You were warned Suggest that you now change your locks Change my locks? I like my hair the way it is thanks
Verbal Kint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Fellow fans - I can't get Solent either, but rest assured I'll be there on Saturday now for sure (Michelle - get us a ticket in Block 1). The fact must be with Mr.Lowe out of the way - all the assets of SFC must be sold. The football club is just one of those items. The administrators will have to do their best for the creditors. This may mean selling the club for £1 - if the right package is on offer. I think Rupert has got the message - football is a working class game, funded by working class people. I don't think he will be back. The shares they own are worthless as they belong to SLH and not SFC. I think there will be many interested parties to see us through until the end of the season, and if we stay up - we will get the investment wanted for the last 4/5-years which Rupert et al never provided. Not longer your club Mr Lowe - and you have very little say in the future (hopefully). Your legacy is St.Marys - like many I thought an exciting development. Looking back now - would these problems been avoided if still at The Dell? Nail on the head. Lowe will probably make an offer, but he won't be able to compete with the other offers that will be on the table. IMHO
sotonjoe Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 mmm yes because its all our fault isnt it :smt017 Just a thought but I wonder if this would still have happened if we had had a full house at every home game this season? Any of us who haven't been to every home game (me included) could have done more to help I guess.
Scudamore Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Rupert has not expressed an interest... That should please one or two!
Weston Saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Why mention anything at all then? If you aren't going to share, keep everything to yourself.I answered a question, that is all. Bye
Papa Shango Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Because I will not answer it. FFS! As mentioned above, why bother mentioning anything then? I can't stand all this "Look at me, I know something but I'm not telling you" crap
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 mmm yes because its all our fault isnt it :smt017 I think the point he was making was not that it was any of our fault but alot of the posters thought admin was the holy grail. In reality, it really is not. Perhaps it has removed the cancer but we may still be too weak to survive. Problem is the financial climate, those that were once affluent, unfortunately now are not
Channon's Sideburns Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Oh great, moving on up by M people. Cheers love. And next sylvia sims FFS...we are in meltdown, and the station that claims to be No1 for Sport in the South is talking ******* acting with some old bint. Get your priorities right - you reading this Adam Blackmore - kick some ar$e over this!!!
Chris Larkin Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 anyway- what's keeping me reasonably optimistic is- how many clubs have actually gone to the wall in the last 50 years- 2? Acrington sometime in the 60s' date=' Aldershot early 90s. Many have gone into admin / other major financial problems but carried on (Leeds, Derby, Leicester etc)[/quote'] Scarborough? Boston? Halifax? Admittedly all smaller than us, but they've been Football League clubs within the last 25 years and are now tinpot non-league teams or, in Scarborough's case, gone altogether.

Dr Who? Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I think we will sale the club now that Lowe has gone. I do not believe he wanted anyone else to take his toy away. We will see, but I think there will be plenty of interest. COYRS!!
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11582 Interview

Newport County ceased to exist in 1983
LGTL Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I answered a question, that is all. Bye Well just keep it to a "No" then, rather then putting the extra little sentence.
dubai_phil Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Just a thought but I wonder if this would still have happened if we had had a full house at every home game this season? Any of us who haven't been to every home game (me included) could have done more to help I guess. It has been commented on elsewhere. If we had reached the end of the season who knows what could have happened "to the financial climate". BUT at the same time we would likely have had to sell players to stay in business and that stadium bond was a millstone. In any case the fans who stayed away for their principles should feel no more guilty than the players on huge contracts that we could shift, the clubs that didn't buy our players in January when we could have sold them, the bankers who didn't keep trying to help, but then all of that pales into insignificance at the real guilty parties who have made every mistake known to mankind in the past 6 years - those so called "mis"directors So don't fret over the past it wasn't the fans fault, let's just wait and see how we can help out NOW
slickmick Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 No. Don't ask the follow up question Crouch it was then.
Kingsland Red Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Scarborough got promoted this season, doing an Aldershot / AFC Wimbledon and coming back the long way.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 mmm yes because its all our fault isnt it :smt017 I'm not saying it's the fans fault, I just hope those that were wishing and praying for it to happen realise what this could do for us.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Scarborough? Boston? Halifax? Admittedly all smaller than us, but they've been Football League clubs within the last 25 years and are now tinpot non-league teams or, in Scarborough's case, gone altogether. Our trouble is we have I think 4 or 5 players(amongst others) with ongoing contracts for at least next season compelling us to pay them a total of about 2 million £. Unless we can cover that (that'd be 8000 or so STs at £320 (less VAT of course) it's no point flogging the dead horse any more. Those players need to realise that and agree to **** off for free.
Kingsland Red Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I offer you Maidstone United , going completely for several years c 1989 (?)
spain saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 Thanks for the updates lads! I am feeling really confident that we will be bought soon enough.
Flyer Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 SLH owns jacksons farm, and training ground If these made up the debt, Saints would have a case. Since 100% of the debt is from SFC, I expect a deduction of 10 points plus another penalty deduction for trying to fiddle the rules.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 you can stream the press conference on the echo website albeit not the full version. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4255819.Live_press_conference_from_St__Mary_s/

Since 100% of the debt is from SFC, I expect a deduction of 10 points plus another penalty deduction for trying to fiddle the rules. I expect SLH own the Stadium Subsidiary which is around 25mil of the debt. You can expect SLH have the overdraft as Barclays would want it against fixed assets rather than players It ain't about how you get it, it's about where it is when the music stops, as long as it was legal IMHO
spain saint Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 (edited) I'm not saying it's the fans fault, I just hope those that were wishing and praying for it to happen realise what this could do for us. I must admit that this situation we are in is not as scary as people made out a couple of months ago! I for one am feeling quite confident today! I am also soooooo happy that the "unusual suspects" have all gone. I might even fly over for one of the last home games! Edited 2 April, 2009 by spain saint crap spelling!

I thought the employees of a company were like all other creditors when it comes to administration/liquidation? They have to wait in line for payment, which is why the PFA often step in to help pay wages in times like this. Of course, when these highly paid players are told to 'get in the queue' they can always just walk...
trousers Posted 2 April, 2009 Posted 2 April, 2009 I answered a question, that is all. Bye Not strictly true. There was an answer, followed by a leading statement. Not that I'm one to split heirs....
