I'm not a member: always just buy when I get to the ground, but can't get there till 13:30

I'm worried that we may be sold out by then.

Can I use the ticket hotline if I'm not a member?

Pretty sure anyone can buy over the phone. The only exception being when they make sales only available to fans on the database (Cardiff etc.). I believe you have to be or have been a ST holder or Member to buy on-line though!

Just had this email from David Luker.

Hi Lee

We’re all concerned at the moment

Current figure is 21k. All corners except the Itchen North are open currently. If demand for tickets is seen, this corner will open too.

There were queues here before 8am this morning, and it’s been steady already. I would expect us to be very close or indeed over the 30k margin tomorrow given the simply amazing response seen so far.

Hopefully we’ll have fundraising ideas to publish at some point today.

Best wishes

David

I shall definately be buying tickets for Palace and Burnley... and buying a kit in the shop... every little counts right?

Great news in David's email. Hope he's right. 30k for 3 home games would show this club is worth too much to too many people to let slip away.

How about the club issuing fans an offer that they guarentee to buy a s/t next season? if we could get 15-20000 guarentors to purchase that would also send a message to investors.

That's a cracking idea. No need to take anyone's money just yet but it would be an almost guaranteed source of income for next season. Then if we go bust, nobody loses their money. I'd sign up for it, even though I won't be here for half the year next.

I am a lifelong Saints fan and now live in Christchurch. We should think positively about a new dawn for SFC now that those incompetent people have gone.

I sent the wife upto Southampton to get 10 tickets for me, the kids and some of their friends.

Now is the time to show real investors we are worth buying.

So, if you have not got your ticket, please join the masses returning to SFC....and lets start taking the club forward.

I would guarentee my purchases and even the longer term ones mentioned in an above post. The only problem I can see with a lifelong one is that the club get the money all at one time and if you had another roulette turn of the wheel set up again it would all be peed against the wall and so we would be back to square 1.

I have just got off the phone to the ticket office. They have under 5,000 tickets left. The lady I spoke to said they are expecting a sell out this Saturday.

All corners are now open. Northam and itchen north are completely sold out.

Great news but i find it hard to believe that they've managed to shift over 4k tickets in just 2 hours!!

Magnificent effort. Brings a tear to the eye. It shows what the football club means to the city and its people.

Great to hear that the stadium is getting close to being a sell out. Now what we need more than ever is for every single person to sing his head off! 90 minutes of pure volume is what is needed. Any potential buyer watching - and there will be some - needs to know how much support SFC truly gets.

COME ON YOU REDS!

Like you didn't when continually coming on here and supporting Lowe. Care to admit you were wrong?

Supporting Lowe was our only option (like him or not), me and about 15,000 others who regularly attended home games knew that, but this morning it appears over 10-15,000 have somewhat tragically and belatedly woken up to the fact.

Lowe didn't fail - our support did and I have been spouting all season that the fans who boycotted the club would bring about the demise through revenue reduction and offset any cost cutting measures the board tried. A simple logic that was beyond the grasp of many I'm afraid.

I can hold my head high along with many other ST holders and regular attendees those who go to the game tomorrow for the first time this season are the ones who were wrong and need to hang your heads in shame. I hope no one stands next to me and my mates with some misguided bullish attitude boasting about it's good to be back or words to the effect (see Garret's earlier comments as a case in point) . Boycotting was not and never was going to be the answer and the cracks in the support are now like giant crevices as far as I am concerned and irreperable.

I think it's more a case of the fans rallying to spur the team on to a. avoid relegation and b. avoid oblivion. There will be a degree of relief about RL's departure, but mostly i feel a sense of excitement about seeing SMS full again and showing prospective buyers that we are a club worth saving.

Do you think a prospective buyer can be hoodwinked so easily and a full house can avert them from completing some historical analysis. If so such crass due diligence wouldn't have been seen at this club since .......Oh yeah I remember, don't you?. We have acted to long like our brain power reflects our colloquial accents and we need to stop thinking like a bunch of hopeful village idiots.

You are wrong, I have two season tickets and have been to all the home games.

The people who didn't go had that right and if the figures are correct have conclusively proved two things, one that Lowe/Wilde had a disasterously negative effect on the fanbase and that these fans are now supporting the club.

What remains to be seen is if the prices return to normal for the last two games whether the support will continue.

Great that the people of Southampton are responding superbly.

So much for this bollllocks that Lowe had no impact on attendances...

oh for eff sake, you could not resist could you!!!

This is not the time for Point baiting.

For those that stayed away for RL reasons and those that stayed away for Fotball reasons, ... now is the time....to get their butts down to SMS!!!

Very son, You may not have a club to moan about!!!!

Geez

Please do not put me and thousands of other season ticket holders in the same bracket as you.

A bit of a contradiction your statement you and your mates

Nothing to do with cost cutting Rupert just chose, for the second time, the wrong way to spend what little we had

So, stay away fans like me are being urged to go to the last few games of the season. Then why can’t I buy a ticket yet for the Palace and Burnley games? I’d have thought that whoever is in charge now would be looking to make the product of this ailing business as readily available as possible.

One thing we've agreed on all along Alpine. Problem is we just disgaree on whose fault that actually is and whether ultimately it's Lowe or the misguided stay aways who have actaully bought this club to the brink of extinction. I sit with plenty of ST holders, anti-Lowes to a man. Where were the rest?

mmmm you sure old chap...? I sense a tone change from you I'm afraid.

Not worried - in fact I like seeing the unity now created delivering back even the more ardent Lowe supporters. Welcome back ;)

You wouldn't want to insult an old comrade who joined arms against the masses with you along time a go and were eventually proven right, would you? They're just opinions, and mine has been since day one the dwindling support of the club would realise it's downfall and not Lowe. Why? Because the next man could equally prove to be just as unpopular and we have a recent history of apparently being unable to unconditionally get behind the team, the true definition of a supporter.

The administrators said they hoped to get us through to the end of the season. I think the ticket office are acting in your best interests although personally I believe you and other stayaways deserved to be fleeced. Cash Sales only, roll up!

Anyone mentioned about paying membership?? I used to be one then let it lapse due to how easy it was to get tickets, and for all the negative reasons about how the club was run. If everyone renewed or decided to become members again it would certainly be an easy way to get some cash for the club....

Supporting Lowe was our only option

And if we had consistently acheived 28K crowds, would Rupes have understood that this was a show of resistance against him ? LOL

The Board knew that having Lowelife back on the scene would antagonise a large part of their customer base, that was a gamble that has now come to it's inevitable, unfortunate, conclusion. The ONLY reason Rupes came back was in desperation to try to maintain some value in his shares, and the reason potential alternative investors were scared away was because of his inflated ego and asking price.
