saints_is_the_south Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 Some business analyst on South Today that shareholders will lose everything as any available funds would be put towards paying off creditors. Apart from that i don't have much of a clue!
John B Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 as a normal supporter of the club for many years home and away and a very small shareholder what difference will it make to me. I really dont understand the legalities of administration etc., I think you may lose your shares but they are not worth much anyway But we are still awiting firm confirmation at the moment everything is speculation But SFC maybe saved and will not lose any points
Third Division South Days Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 Once the administrators takeover does that mean the existing PLC board become redundant and vacate their desks. Somehow I don't think it is that simple. I believe some of the directors are also paid employees with, no doubt, contracts. I believe the usual suspects will be well placed to control outcomes.
Bourno Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 (edited) I hope Lowe and Wilde have decent D&O cover. I feel that their miss-management of SFC have rendered my small shareholding almost worthless. Edited 1 April, 2009 by Bourno spelling
docker-p Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 It is easy to forget in all this but there were many small shareholders who were fans, and although i'm sure they didn't invest expecting to make anything out of it, they are still Saints fans who will have lost hundreds maybe thousands of pounds.
Berkhamsted Saint Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 and any others as a normal supporter of the club for many years home and away and a very small shareholder what difference will it make to me. I really dont understand the legalities of administration etc., There are two likely outcomes. Someone either invests in or buys the club so we have new owners going forward or no one comes up with any money (a real possibility in a credit crunch) and we no longer have a football club. Everybody is talking about investors and investment which I hope and pray does happen but it there is a chance this could be the end of Saints as we know it. I am not sure the average fan understands the risks of administration in a credit crunch. It is a far bigger risk than a 10 point deduction.

It's not lost on me and even though there are rumours of people circling the Club, if nothing comes off then as you say we really will be in the sht.
