Capel Saint Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 WE have been trying to get investment for years I wonder what constitutes "trying" - is it lowe sitting on his arse waiting for the phone to ring saying (and I've heard him say this) "well they know where we are if they want to invest!" or is trying having some charasmatic Southampton FC figure going out into the business community and actually selling the club I think I know the answer Unfortunately we will never know for sure but I think the blame has to be aportioned to Lowe and Wilde as between them the club has been mis-managed since a plc was formed and eventual relegation from the Prem with some poor managment appointments, poor Board appointments (Hoos, Dulieu etc) frittering away of what money we had on average players and far too many pipe dreams of not facing the reality of surviving in the Championship. A very sad day but lets up with it brings an opportunity of some fresh faces to turn this club around.
Under Weststand Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 To the original question "Yes" Time for the Pair of them to go. If we do come out the other side of this then It would be inconceivable to have either of them anywhere the Football club again. This season has been an unmitigated disaster & neither Lowe or Wilde can step away from there part in it. I just wonder if people are out there who would be prepared to pay off at least the bank-overdraft for total control? Or have they been put off by Lowe & gang wanting paying off?
broncoboy Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 Lets' be kind and say they didn't mean to bring it to this but this is where we are and they should do their best to sort out the sorry mess and then depart with an apology to the fans. It doesnt matter who did what just go for goodness sake If Captain Titanic buys this club then there will be hell to pay
Pilchards Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 To be honest Rupert and Wilde had to come back because they had to protect what money they had left! However what knob would think that getting a nobody in to run the team and off load some good players would be the way to do it. What Rupert does not understand is that him being anywhere near our club has resulted in 10k fans staying away which partly points the finger at me as well but at least I have the pleasure to know that Lowe has lost the ****ing lot. We will rise from the ashes and I will be back with the missing thousands, Mark my words. Lowe - Rot In Hell
Topcat Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 Pilchards, what nobs thought that Lowe would save their investment? That is the only bright side of a very gloomy day.
Pilchards Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 I know someone who had a drink with Guy Askham on Saturday as he was watching his son play at Lymington. Anyway Guy was saying that we have so many people interested in buying the club but the ground debt is what was stopping them. If the council can help solve that issue then someone will snap us up asap and that Rupert would not step in the way. Haha too late now Mr Askham you buffoon!
chi saint Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 I blame Wilde for this mess, it was he who appeared with an aura of saintliness and was considered by so many on here as our saviour. Yep you know who you are, those turn coats who over the past few months have been giving it large on abuse against Wilde and Lowe seem to have selective memory, when you were on bended knee thanking Wilde for coming in. Whilst clearly the blame could have been laid fairly and squarley at Lowes door, until that is Wilde entered the fray, got Crouch in a tizzy and now here we are divided, broke and frankly it would seem bereft of ideas on what to do about it all. For me if Wilde had stayed out of it or better still fulfilled his initial promises then things would have been far simpler, a lot of time and money wouldn't have been wasted and who knows, and this is the crucial point, someone benefator might have come forward either to work in tandem or initiate a take over. You'd have to be stupid to get involved with a club that is in turmoil off the pitch with some many factions and awash with self interests and that's why we've attracted no serious interest. Nope Wilde has a lot to answer for.
Micky Posted 1 April, 2009 Posted 1 April, 2009 Lowe tried to save it ??? By Dismissing Nigel Pearson Going for an Academy Youth Team Bringing in TWO untried Dutch people Selling any experienced player capable of scoring a Goal Loaning out other experienced players that are scoring Goals for our CCC Opponents Think again my friend ....... his pride was hurt when he was ousted ........ He came back on a mission ........ nearly accomplished Lowe IS the Destroyer of Saints ..... aided of course by Judas Wilde's backing Nobody ever landed on the moon either you know....
