I can accept Barclays position but do not understand Aviva's unless we have been defaulting on our mortgage payments or very concerned about meeting our commitments to them in the future. I don't doubt your integrity but on the face of it its difficult to believe Aviva had pulled the plug - do you know why? Have we defaulted?

Sorry 19C - I am not that much in the loop - guess if its true we will find out soon enough. I heard last week we had been rescued by a father and son combo but it looks that what they offered has not been good enough. Again I must stress I am not in the loop but just hearing this from those that are. Could be a massive joke but I for one would not think it is funny.

Personally I think this is rubbish. We should have gone in last week if we were so close. Why offer a load of new contracts if we are now going to be forced to sell everyone. I can't see it myself.

I tend to agree and still cannot understand why anyone would leak the story if it were true

If I was wrong with my assumption, fine, but I don't think I was wrong to make that assumption, given the pair of you have - as far as I'm aware - tended to get the vast majority of your information from the same source in recent times.

Wrong again !!

If true it either because

1. The cap value of the club has fallen below the threshold ie £3m

2. Major shareholders have agreed a price for their shares from a 3rd party.

if one why wasnt it last week when the admin deadline was in place, if two Im surprised that the share price hasnt risen as someone where would have said something and the city always hears things first.

But me personally I think it is one (hope to be proved wrong) as for a company to lose 33% of it value in 2 days is a major ****up!

I still don't have any ideas about why there are so many adminstration threads already but there are people still believe them, even though all of the adminstration threads were not true in the past. I remembered someone mentioned we would definately going to adminstration in February but never happened.

I will cry if it is true :(

Mate if it's inevitable then there's no point dwelling on it. It's got to be done and we've got to go from there. I'm not saying this rumour isn't the build up to an April fool, but regardless it'll happen sooner or later.

It must be true, Nineteen Canteen and FF are being nice to each other.

Not that I’m knowledgeable on this sort of talk, nothing adds up for example: surely we’d have had a fire sale in January

We’d not have renewed players contracts,

Not be playing Ewell, BWP, Saga etc..

All it needs now is SOG and Alpine and we can have a big group hug.

16. Suspension

Shares in a quoted company can be suspended for two reasons:

The company requests suspension

If a company is about to announce news of material significance to investors and it fears that a disorderly market may be created by a leak, it can ask the London Stock Exchange to suspend trading in its shares until after the announcement.

The most common reason for this is that the company is about to participate in a bid for, or by, another company. But there could be other reasons - for example if the company has unusually bad news (the MD has just fled to Brazil).

The Stock Exchange frowns on long, voluntary suspensions. It takes the view that investors should always be able to sell unwanted stock, even at very bad prices.

The Stock Exchange suspends trading

This usually heralds very bad news, although suspension can also be the Exchange's only effective sanction against a company which persists in breaking its rules.

Shares suspended by the Exchange find it hard to return to a full listing. Sometimes the company in question has gone bankrupt. In these circumstances, shareholders just have to grit their teeth and hope something emerges from the gloom.

Well from my point of view i'm not going to get het up, although i'll be a tad disapointed if this is all a windup.

Well what do you think is going to happen you usually have a strong opinion

Look at the facts - do you really think the club would be selling 2009/10 season tickets if the club was going under?

I am going to blindly keep the faith and wait for the white knight over the next month!!!!!! The Cov scenario sounds plausible enough to me!!

I'm with you blindly keeping the faith and clutching at straws.

Only thing with the Cov scenario is that being Saints the White Charger is likely to dump all over us (and then probably bail out the Skates instead)

Well I don't like the fact that we should have released our interims at the latest today (I'm sure the rule is three months from year end whch was up today) and not sure whether anything should be read in to that delay.

Other than that I'm just praying that it's for some other reason e.g. Birmingham suspended their shares recently when Brady and Sullivan were arrested (not that I'm suggestig Lowe and co are to be arrested!!!).

I wonder if it'll be like when Maggie Thatcher left downing street - a fleeting look back and a tear in his eye. I'm welling up just thinking about it.

If we were going in then it was stupid not to sell off all the players in January to try to avoid it.

Maybe no one wanted to buy

If you were a championship club who would you buy?
