According to ALL the eye witnesses at the inquest, J C DeM was not given any warning - the armed officers, who did not identify themselves, rushed onto the train, pushed him to the floor and fired several bullets into his head at very close range. In Luton, a dozen or so prostestors use a parade by troops to protest against a deeply unpopular war, whoop-de-doo. Why exactly should anybody outside of Luton care about this? Because this non-story was picked up by the right wing reactionary press, and as a result, you walked with Nazi's. Can I ask what they chanted/sang during the march, I'm guessing it was based primarily on race and religion.

 

I personally think it is catistrophic for this country to reduce what is happening in Iraq/Afghanistan/****stan down to such base issues, as the political right here and the US has done repeatedly. This is also a fatally flawed argument of course as the most extreme and oppressive Islamist state on the planet (Saudi Arabai) is also Britain and America's closest allie outside of Nato.

Because this non-story was picked up by the right wing reactionary press, and as a result, you walked with Nazi's. Can I ask what they chanted/sang during the march, I'm guessing it was based primarily on race and religion.

It sounds to me like you would prefer to live in a more oppressive state where the government came down harder on protesters and tried to censor the opinions of people with alternative views.

Maybe if I'd just returned from Iraq, fighting a war that was supposed to be against oppression, in theory bringing democracy and freedom of speech (and protest) to other countries, I'd be a bit disappointed if back in Britain there were people like you trying to stop people's right to freedom of speech and expression. You're actually complaining about the very rights those people are fighting for.

 

It sounds to me like you would prefer to live in a more oppressive state where the government came down harder on protesters and tried to censor the opinions of people with alternative views.

I'm based near the Stock Exchange and I've just seen about 40 dibble vans speeding past towards Bank and there's a heli circling. One of my colleagues was on the phone to someone at RBS when they were being smashed up.
