The G20 Protestors

Some of the lazy workshy layabouts who attended the march at the weekend were......

The Put People First march was organised by a "rainbow alliance" of 150 trade unions, church groups and charities including ActionAid, Save the Children and Friends of the Earth. The theme was "jobs, justice and climate" and the message was aimed at the world leaders who will be gathering for the G20 summit here next week.

People had come from all over the country to protest; organic farmer Jyoti Fernandes travelled from Somerset with her four children. "We are here to remind people that we have to look after our land and look after our food," she said.

When there is no discernible difference between political parties and the country/world is beset with issues on many varied fronts, the gathering of such a group is a focal point for people to raise valid opposition to the current state of affairs, the French tried it quite successfully a while ago.

Because the only other viable method of displaying mass public dissatisfaction with the government (and in turn the G20) is national elections, which will be so diluted by middle-england Daily Mail readers that the strongest voice wont be heard.

Good to see people getting off their *rses and doing something, rather than being keyboard whingers like Stanley.

Send them a ****ing medal. It must be so tiring for the long haired dole wallors.

Keep whinging away Cpt Whinge-o. While you are busy whinging on here and muttering to yourself everyone else can go off and make their sensible opinions heard. Perhaps you should write a letter to "Whom it may concern."

When I was briefly claiming my entitlement to state benefits, I did learn that there was no such word as wallor, either they are dole wallahs, or wallowing around on the dole. And my hair got regularly cut, I saved some of my dole money to keep a smart appearance.

Viva la revolution......

Have you ever made a worthwhile comment or is drivel all you are capable of?

It comes as no surprise to me that you and your ilk support the workshy layabouts.

This protest will be carnage compared to the peaceful on on Saturday. If I could get out of work (the same with Saturday's march) I would go myself. Governments have to start realising that if they don't start 'putting people first' they will be faced with more radical protests and who knows, perhaps a rise in the popularity of the Socialist Workers Party (fingers crossed!)

Only last weekend I heard a broadcast about how the Left is gaining popularity in Europe, especially France.

Interesting Newsweek article here:

That's because our county is so PC. If it was down to me the police would be armed with machine guns. That'd make them think twice.

A mate of a mate is a copper t'up North; a couple of years ago when the G8 met in the wilds of Scotland he gave up his holiday so that he could "have a laugh with other Coppers, dress up like Robocop, and if they are lucky get to kick a few smellys, and get payed a nice bit of overtime!".

Allegedly (before the internet Stasi decide to come round mine at 6am and kick down the front door)

I know of a rozzer who saved up his overtime during the miners' strike and bought himself a new house for cash.

I bet you look smart in your Nazi Jackboots and Helmut.

In reality, Stanley is a 43 year-old former crustie, who spent his teenage years protesting at Greenham Common, hasn't had a bath for years ( because he doesn't need one ), and lives off the mould on top of the yoghurts he pulls out of Sainsbury's rubbish bins. And he only ever votes for the Green Party.

I actually remember the Greenham Common protests (must've been 82ish). Unless i'm getting confused but weren't they round Newbury way as i think they were the reason we got held up for ages going on holiday.

Threads like this make me happy as it shows me that however it may sometimes seem, hate-filled fools like Stanley are a minority, firmly in the lunatic fringe.

This board often seems to be filled with people whose views on politics are so idiotically simplistic that they call anyone with a right wing opinion a nazi and anyone with a left wing opinion a tree-hugging commie. Are there really people out there who can't understand the thinking behind both views and can't just accept that it's then just a simple question of preference?

Thank God there's only one as afraid of the world as Stanley.

Don't have any such items you wierdo. Although i have owned some doc martin boots in past in order to say hello to your nazi friends.

I'm not a fascist. Admitedly i've taken part in one NF protest, but that was only because i felt compelled to join a counter demo against al majaroun - you know the Luton extremists who abused the homecoming soldiers the other week.

well done stanley, thanks to your staggering bitterness and absolute lack of humanity, you've been manipulated and mobilised by the far right. if this country falls into the hands of retarded fascists, you'll be their poster boy.

didn't mummy and daddy love you enough?

I'm sure you're wrong, he must have thought several times...' I'm an illigal', or....' I really must learn English'.

Bet he could spell "illegal". Also, not sure how the English would have helped considering no-one spoke to him, they just walked on the tube and shot him in the head.

I have not been manipulated by the far right, i'm not anti semitic for example (although i'm not fan of israel). I'm simply proud to be British and don't like what's happened/is happening in my country.

How do you feel that the cross-section of British people who have posted here would rather that paranoid, hate-filled people like you were removed from Britain than the average immigrant?
