St Landrew Posted 29 March, 2009 Share Posted 29 March, 2009 and final days testing going on at Jerez. James Toseland does a high side. For those people who wince easily, you have been warned: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/motorbikes/7971063.stm And I'm in the market for a bike again. Thankfully JT is supposedly fine-ish.
BadgerBadger Posted 30 March, 2009 Share Posted 30 March, 2009 Ouch - gonna knock his confidence I reckon Can't wait to see how Lorenzo gets on this season and whether he's gonna stop crashing and mix it at the top. Old man Capriossi is storming in the Suzuki And I hope Gibernau and Rossi continue their spat - loads of fun

Old man Capriossi is storming in the Suzuki And I hope Gibernau and Rossi continue their spat - loads of fun It would be nice, but Rossi and the rest have moved on, and Gibernau has some catching up to do. However, he can look to none other than Troy Bayliss for inspiration, who back in 2006, after winning a Superbike Championship [not his last], got one more go on a Ducati MotoGP bike, after doing so-so years before, in the last race of the season. He promptly ran away from the field, because he'd always had the talent, but the pressure was completely off him. He had nothing to win or lose, save for showing what MotoGP was missing. And he did so well he won easily, with Rossi falling off early in the race, and remounting, only not passing enough people to stop Hayden winning his World Championship. And it's what Giibernau needs to do too. If he can ride without pressure, and have a competitive bike under him, he'll be an excellent addition to the MotoGP field. St Landrew Posted 2 April, 2009 Author Share Posted 2 April, 2009 I'm obviously getting biker fever. Bought some new gear the other day and now have started looking at Honda VFR750 - 800's and VTR1000's. All I wanted in the first place was a nice, tidy, lowish mileage, NTV650. It's a big jump from this: http://www.albatrosmt.narod.ru/temi/oboi/Honda/Honda-NTV650-1996.jpg to this: http://www.albatrosmt.narod.ru/temi/oboi/Honda/Honda-VFR800FI-1998.jpg or this: http://www.albatrosmt.narod.ru/temi/oboi/Honda/Honda-VTR1000F-Firestorm-1998.jpg But I think I might be going for it. We'll see what the summer brings. Care to guess what a year's fully comp is, for me..?
