just watched the last game at the dell, utterly depressing seeing the old ground. The ground alone was a twelfth player and its also strange seeing the old faces again. Kachloul, Pahars even Garry monk in one of his only starts as a saint. Not one player has survived and it was only seven years ago. Not even the kit man is still here.

we might have been a small club in the prem, but it was miles better than being a small club in the ccc. Most people regard st mary's as the best thing lowe did for the club (and it probably is) but its ironic that if we had stayed at the dell we probably would still be in the prem. man utd would never have beaten us on the last day of the season at the dell. We had beaten them 2-1 the week before that season.

How can you possibly say that, there is no way you can logically conclude that. The equivalent last game survival at The Dell was against Wimbledon, and I know who I would rather face in a one **** or bust game.

The Dell had a capacity of 15,000. The smallest grounds in the prem now apart from Pompey are 25,000 plus - that means an extra £6m a year. Theres no way we could have competed in the modern prem at the Dell.
