Fair enough, he has been one of the best players this season and the partnership he has formed with JPS at the back has been key to our recent chances of staying up.

 

For where we are and the money we have to spend dont see this as a gamble at all.

Don't jump the gun. I don't believe the article says Perry has agreed to stay, only that he has earned another year. He's not obliged to take it. Fingers crossed he does though.

I read it that it was already signed - in that it was a clause in the initial contract signed that it would be for one year if he didn't make enough appearances and longer if he did.

 

Appears a done deal.

No, he couldn't. Unless you are already preempting relegation to League 1 and League 2.
