CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 Good news I'd say : http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4241926.Perry_to_stay_a_Saint/ Mills , Boyle , and Paterson also to be offered new contracts .
fareham saint phil Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 Fair enough, he has been one of the best players this season and the partnership he has formed with JPS at the back has been key to our recent chances of staying up. For where we are and the money we have to spend dont see this as a gamble at all.
Saint_clark Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 Excellent, we need his experience whichever league we are in. Mills, James, Paterson and Davis to get new contracts and i'll be more than happy.
Toadhall Saint Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 Good news - a true pro and one that we need IMHO
Neil Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 One for the future? In keeping with Rupert's policy of playing youngsters... Who's this Boyle, anyone know anything about him?
Barry Horne Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 Don't jump the gun. I don't believe the article says Perry has agreed to stay, only that he has earned another year. He's not obliged to take it. Fingers crossed he does though.
trousers Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 One for the future? In keeping with Rupert's policy of playing youngsters... Who's this Boyle, anyone know anything about him? A Wilde discovery from the Channel Islands. Since when did good players come from there....? [racks brain....]
saint_ed Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 What about Kelvin? Waiting to see if we stay up.
ottery st mary Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 A Wilde discovery from the Channel Islands. Since when did good players come from there....? [racks brain....] Len Duquemin Spurs centre forward 46-58..Played with ex Saint Alf Ramsey. Passed away 20.4.03. God Bless him. Born Cobo Guernsey. Goals 134 in 308 games...Could do a job for Saints now...Spiritual capacity. Le Saux Jersey....I am sure there is another great player but can't think of him for the life of me...Big friend of Venables and Hoddle.
sidthesquid Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 Scored a few goals in a relegation struggle or two? Brett Pitman, plays for Bournemouth - was that the one?
ottery st mary Posted 28 March, 2009 Posted 28 March, 2009 Scored a few goals in a relegation struggle or two? Brett Pitman, plays for Bournemouth - was that the one? HCDAJFU..Brett that is....The other old Channel Islander is probably better Golfer nowadays.
NickG Posted 29 March, 2009 Posted 29 March, 2009 Don't jump the gun. I don't believe the article says Perry has agreed to stay, only that he has earned another year. He's not obliged to take it. Fingers crossed he does though. I read it that it was already signed - in that it was a clause in the initial contract signed that it would be for one year if he didn't make enough appearances and longer if he did. Appears a done deal.
saint_ed Posted 29 March, 2009 Posted 29 March, 2009 HCDAJFU..Brett that is....The other old Channel Islander is probably better Golfer nowadays. No, he couldn't. Unless you are already preempting relegation to League 1 and League 2.
