ALWAYS_SFC Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Razorblades at the ready... 2 Threads...tut tut
Window Cleaner Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 As it stands winning our game in hand 3-O would save us, all other things being equal. How good it that?
Whitey Grandad Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 As it stands winning our game in hand 3-O would save us, all other things being equal. How good it that? No worries, then.
Legod Third Coming Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 We have at least got that magical 40 point mark...ooops
alpine_saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 All the good work in the second undermined by yet another shiite first half.
Under Weststand Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Well 1 point is better than nothing. But draws are not going to keep us up we simply have to start winning games. So close at the end to snatching all 3 & it would have been so vital with the other results today. just doesn't feel as though its enough tonight.
Griffo Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Move a little bit closer to safety. Every little helps. With Charlton at home weekend after next I think we can all hopefully say we should get a win..?
Window Cleaner Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 All the good work in the second undermined by yet another shiite first half. And a dodgy penalty or so it would seem..
saint lard Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 2 Threads...tut tut He's the boss, he can close mine. Important job this starting post match threads only a certain type of person can do that.
alpine_saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 And a dodgy penalty or so it would seem.. Cant rely on the refs at this level to keep us up...
CanadaSaint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 It's still alive from my viewpoint. I'd like to commend Stanley for his tactical adjustment in the second half, after which we became much the better team.
alpine_saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Is it a point gained or two points dropped? Two dropped, most definitely..
Saints Mad Si Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Sorry to say, but I think we are fading away. Agreed, needed to start winning at Christmas to get out of this one. I hate to say it but third tier football next year for the first time in 50 years!
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Two dropped, most definitely.. I agree... Wins are a must...
scott_saints Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 I thought this was a must win game?? Just checked the league table and we're still very much in the fight. Strange, seeing as we didn't win.
BotleySaint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Other results were ok. Win the game in hand and things are not bad. We must beat Charlton and Watford now.
Weston Super Saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 I thought this was a must win game?? Just checked the league table and we're still very much in the fight. Strange, seeing as we didn't win. Imagine if we had won
CanadaSaint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 We gained a point - and one goal of difference - on Plymouth and Forest. How about we look at those positives?
um pahars Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 A point is OKish, particularly when you consider two of our relgation rivals lost at home. Failing to close the gap on Norwich is a bit of a bummer, but fair play to them for earning a draw at St Andrew's. A break next weekend then it is crunch time with a raft of relegation 6 pointers: Saints v Charlton Barnsley v Forest Blackpool v Plymouth Norwich v Sheff Weds We could certainly do with beating Charlton as our rivals have a chance of getting points from those matches. And then of course the Monday after we have our game in hand at Watford!!!!!!!!! it will go to the wire!!!!!!!!!1:smt017:smt017
JustMike Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 good point imo, we are hard to beat at the moment but we must start winning at home!!!
saint lard Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 We need to turn draws into wins,Derby,QPR and today, those games were winnable IMO.
hypochondriac Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Lol at people saying it was a must win. Next game is though
alpine_saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 We need to turn draws into wins,Derby,QPR and today, those games were winnable IMO. Yep. 6 more points would have seen us half-way home...
derry Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 The right side was the problem, schneiderlin in front of Thompson was daft. Wotton on at half time helped turn it around, but it would have been better to have Thompson in front of Wotton from the start, whoever he picked in the hole and up front. McGoldrick on target, it needs him to get a few more and Saganowski to start scoring again. Looking at the table not too bad a result, shame that the free kick hit the post right at the end.
BotleySaint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 BWP sounded fairly lively so hopefully we won't miss Euell if he's out for a bit.
alpine_saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Where can I find a table ? The BBC take for f**king ever to update theirs.

saint lard Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 just seen the table,we are still definately in the mix to get out of this. This will go down to the wire.
.comsaint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 After trailing at HT 1-0 - I would have settled for a point. We must beat Charlton at home next week to really make this point count. With both Forest & Plymouth losing at home today - the point gained could prove priceless come the end of the season. We still do have that game in hand (at Watford) - but after Charlton it's away at Wolves for us. All to play for still.

alpine_saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/tables/cc_champ.html Cheers, mate. So, 2-0 in our game-in-hand would see us out of the bottom 3..

saintjay77 Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Cheers, mate. So, 2-0 in our game-in-hand would see us out of the bottom 3.. 3 - 0 would unless our goals for are better than Plyms.
alpine_saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 3 - 0 would unless our goals for are better than Plyms. They are.

I actually think we have a better chance of getting something at Wolves than anyone down our end of the table. We do arse against teams that are looking for a point but better againsts teams that go for a win. well usually we do anyway lol
hackedoff Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Other results were ok. Win the game in hand and things are not bad. We must beat Charlton and Watford now. One point from these two
saintjay77 Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 They are. blimey. are season has been so bad i forgot to think positivly and just presumed ours would be worse.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 Is it a point gained or two points dropped? 2 dropped I am afraid. Blackpool will be relieved.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 League 1 clubs stand by, we will walk all over you !
Glasgow_Saint Posted 21 March, 2009 Posted 21 March, 2009 League 1 clubs stand by, we will walk all over you ! thought you'd be in the pub celebrating your 2-1 win earlier in the day? :smt017
