Nice, before you go ahead though, can we confirm that everyone is wearing them as I don't want to fork out again and still not all wear identical kit. I have 2 pairs now, Saints Black ones and plain whte.

 

Shorts, I have a black Saints pair and again only really want to buy another pair if everyone is, having said that, it would be better if we at least look like a team even if we don't play like one.

 

 

BTW you have your invite now, i had been drunking last night and forgot all about our PMversation.

 

Received sir. Still i'm not sure drinking on a school night fits in with the fitness programme?!

 

I agree we should all look the same.

 

But also think we should try not look like a dog's dinner!

 

Hope everyone agrees...as i say i'm willing to get sizes and place an order on a job lot for the socks if everyone agrees?

What's going to be done about the away teams socks and shorts. I've got the away socks from the megastore on Monday, if everyone could get them? Don't know about the shorts, but it's important that we all wear the same.

They're not bang on...but a darn sight closer than plain white sock...and only £3.70...i'm willing to put in a bulk purchase...

 

And just buying the proper shorts...because i for one already own some black Umbro basic shorts and they are for want of a better word...sh:t...

 

Ooh they're good, I'm liking those - though as I have the proper kit I'll be wearing that anyway - unless we all agree to something different. Happy to pay for those on the day anyway.

Sorry, no, that's me not being clear, there's ONE set of official black shorts, but online there are far cheaper, very similar (like the ones in the message above) black Umbro shorts too.

 

I think we should go for the hoopy socks all the way, no-one who paid £115 or £230 to play is going to begrudge £3-£4 to look the part... I hope.

Yep get the hoop socks don't mind paying for them. I have the official black shorts which I was planning on wearing though.

 

That's all good...i plan on buying some official shorts myself...

 

If i get a few more yesses i'll start getting sizes for an order on the socks...

If enthusiasm won mayches, then it would be worth a shot.

Unfortunately, the additional insurance premium to cover damage to cars in the north car park would make it not financially viable.

I thought we were buying socks from the cllub shop? As I said previously Ive got some shorts from soccer world in West Quay. Umbro ones at 4.99.

What are the away team supposed to be doing for kit? I have red Saints shorts from the season we had the black away kit. I also have some older red socks, but if we want to wear the same, what am I supposed to be buying?

Everyone in the away team buy the grey socks from the club shop.

 

Also, we need to find some red umbro shorts somewhere that are in stock so we can all wear the same. There also could be a possibility if someone finds them, buy 16 pairs of shorts and then charge everyone on the day that needs/wants them and hand them out.

I'll have a look in the morning, I've spent most of the day driving from the south of France to home so I'm knackered at the moment....I bought some red ones a few weeks back because someone said we were doing them....jesus, we're as organised as our government at the moment!

Not sure about our team unity here???:rolleyes:There was sod all left in the shop yesterday - on the sock front... a handful of boys and a couple of pairs of mens? Are we having Team photos? group photos? ... I am playing in the away top but I have bought a larger than XL one to cover by body beautiful... It will be slightly different as I will be sponsered by Flybe whereas you lot won't but since the happy mondays I don't do skin tight!

 

Oh any progress on squad numbers as i need to get me boots done!

Surely there's some for sale on the online store?

 

I think the more finer details of the game should be published soon. I don't really have a clue what's going on, apart from the fact that I'm playing a game at St Mary's on the 7th May.

Right then gennelmen, 1) why the hell are we wearing red shorts anyway, it's not like the proper grey ones clash, red ones are a sod to find, there are no official ones for sale and they clash a bit anyway and 2) going with an alternative option, have they got any grey shorts left, seeing as they're the only away shorts you can actually buy at the moment ?

 

3) I already have the grey socks (and shorts).

I think there were a few grey shorts left.... Do we have a manager yet? also why don't we just ask the club if they will chuck in a set of red ones... the season will be over by then and we can always donate a couple of quid... are we getting squad numbers today???

They have Small, XXL or XXXL.

 

£10 on the offical site. I don't see the problem in using grey shorts?

Just for the hell of it, here are some Birmingham City away socks in men's sizes in red/white for £2.70 (probably better for the home team)

I've already got all the home and away kit in the colours that it can be bought in the shop, so I'm not too bothered. Trouble is we've only got this thread to collate responses and lots of people haven't put their oar in. Might be worth putting together a list of who's got what and who needs what ?

They've never sold the red shorts (or socks) in the club shop. the Umbro home kit and Umbro all-charcoal grey away kit (which we've hardly ever worn all together) were the only ones available this season.

I think for the away team all grey from the Saints shop (or borrowing from mates) where possible is the only way to go, there are too many variables otherwise.
