chrisobee Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 Honimiere was far from disgraced and left the impression that the return to 1m (and beyond) would bemore to his liking. He is one to keep an eye on granted a more suitable test of stamina. Agreed, I thought 8/1 was too big a price and he gave me a good run for my money. Have added him to my "ones to watch list".

bungle Posted 15 June, 2009 Author Posted 15 June, 2009 Got a touch of 2nd'itis Bungle? ;-) . 3.30 Sedgefield Polar Gale Ah, nuts.
chrisobee Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Purely for the sake of the ATR tipping challenge I have made one selection in each race ( mainly tentative if not very speculative) 2.30 Cesare a good alternative to the favourite Gladiatorus at around 10/1. 3.05 This is a race I'll definitely NOT be having a bet in but just prefer Armour Propre over Scenic Blast. 3.45 Hard to find an alternative to short priced favourite Mastercraftsmen but Evasive at around 6/1 is the one I'm going to opt for 4.20 Am drawn to the favourite Canford Hills but Fremont looks a decent ew shot at around 20/1 4.55 Judgethemoment Not proven over the 2m 4f trip but that applies to a number in this race. Best price I can see at present is 9/1 and has been backed this morning. 5.30 Di Stefano Very speculative at around 33/1 but Micky Channon has won the Windsor Castle 3 times and I'm hoping he can make it 4 !
Hatch Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Ascot 2.30 Alexandros 8/1 3.05 Tax Free 11/1 3.45 Soul City 16/1 4.20 Canford Cliffs 15/8

Iowsaintsfan Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Royal Ascot selection for today: 2.30 Gladiatorus 3.05 Scenic Blast 4.20 Marsh Warbler E/W 4.55 Kayf Aramis
bungle Posted 16 June, 2009 Author Posted 16 June, 2009 Meanwhile, Channon has won the opening two races at Thirsk!
Hatch Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Meanwhile, Channon has won the opening two races at Thirsk! bloody typical, take your eye off the ball for a second and it all goes wrong. Still I bet Channon is at Ascot and not Thirsk.
Hatch Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 3 winners so far for Richard Hughes today, to follow up his double at Windsor last night. Jockey in form to be noted.
Doctoroncall Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 (edited) You all did well on that one, then. Godolphin has certainly gone downhill in a major way, Alexandros was worse! Edited 16 June, 2009 by Doctoroncall
Robsk II Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 I put £2 each way on Brooklyn Spirit at Sandown on Saturday, at 33-1. Came in a winner, I got £86.50. Nice.
chrisobee Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 bloody typical, take your eye off the ball for a second and it all goes wrong. Still I bet Channon is at Ascot and not Thirsk. Well his horse Di Stefano finished 3rd in the 5.30 so a decent ew bet at 33/1 ( SP25/1). However, I was really impressed by the heart shown by Judgethemoment to hold on and win the 4.55. Really good effort.
bungle Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 I put £2 each way on Brooklyn Spirit at Sandown on Saturday, at 33-1. Came in a winner, I got £86.50. Nice. Again, for newcomers to this thread, tips only work if you post them BEFORE the race.
chrisobee Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Again, for newcomers to this thread, tips only work if you post them BEFORE the race. LOL If only that were not true
Hatch Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 2.30 Instalment 3.05 Evas request (channon horse, got to with it really) 3.45 Vision D'Etat 4.20 ?????????? - God Only knows, random pick 2 mins before the off I think. 4.55 Jealous Again.
Jillyanne Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 2.30 Instalment 3.05 Evas request (channon horse, got to with it really) 3.45 Vision D'Etat 4.20 ?????????? - God Only knows, random pick 2 mins before the off I think. 4.55 Jealous Again. I have taken your advice today Hatch so you had better be ITK!
Hatch Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I have taken your advice today Hatch so you had better be ITK! Well, 2 of them are Richard Hughes tips off the wireless this morning. Who am I to argue with him.
bungle Posted 17 June, 2009 Author Posted 17 June, 2009 Other Ascot bets 2.30 Instalment e/w 3.45 Never on Sunday 4.55 Capercaillie
chrisobee Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 As always of course with these big meetings so many of the races are so wide open you could pick half the field and still not find the winner. However, again since ATR have their free tipping challenge my "selections" are : 2.30 Infiraad at around 5/1 3.05 Finding it hard to oppose Lush Lashes in what is frankly quite a poor field. As Hatch stated Eva's request is a Channon horse but for once I'm going to stick with the favourite so Lush Lashes it is 3.45 Tartan Bearer is a worthy favourite but at 16/1 I'm going to take a chance with the Godolphin horse Trincot with Dettori on board 4.20 Yep, this is a minefield but I quite like the look of Cadre which has been backed this morning so a very tentative selection at it's current best price of 8/1 4.55 Jealous Again for me also 5.30 Another wide open race to finish the day. Micky Chanon runs 2, Please Sing and Silver Games. Please Sing looks to be the better of the 2 so I'm going for that one at a decent price-25/1 with some firms.
