frankie Posted 6 June, 2010 Share Posted 6 June, 2010 After a load of tosh yesterday ( why is it when Frankie does well I don't and vice versa!? ) going to tip/back only really strong fancies. Brighton 4.30 Aegean Shadow@ 9/4 NAP: Won on debut this year albeit narrowly but made a slow start and did well to recover. Tom Queally takes the ride for Henry Cecil and there looks to be plenty of scope for improvement. 5.00 Suzy Alexander @6/4 : Had a really strong word for this George Margarson trained horse and Tom Queally rides this one too. May be a slight risk on handicap debut but certainly looks the one to beat. Win double these two. Chris Fingers crossed for your second selection mate, Aegan Shadow won nicely despite being bumped several times. Frankie

chrisobee Posted 7 June, 2010 Share Posted 7 June, 2010 Fingers crossed for your second selection mate, Aegan Shadow won nicely despite being bumped several times. Frankie Thanks but Suzy Alexander was poor and a ridicuously short 8/11. Still Aegean Shadow ( which at 10/3 was way overpriced I thought) did run well and at least ensured my NAP won, miraculous The race was really a scrap in the last few hundred yards, nice ride though by Tom Queally. A little bid of confidence returns at least, I'm sure Saturday was my worst day EVER !! Chris
chrisobee Posted 7 June, 2010 Share Posted 7 June, 2010 Tuesday : Two early selections, neither great prices so again 2 win singles and a win double. Both at Newton Abbot. 3.00 Lady Pilot @ 13/8 : Was torn between Lady Pilot and Gamesters Lady but the latter is now a N/R which leaves Lady Pilot though naturally shorter than would otherwise have been the case. Disappointing last time out but word is there was a genuine reason for that performance and she'll enjoy the shorter trip today. 3.30 Five Out of Five @11/8 : Didn't enjoy the fast ground last time out, plenty of water down today which will definitely suit. Alhaque looks the obvious danger but is a quirky horse and a small field might not be to his liking. Be lucky ! Chris
chrisobee Posted 7 June, 2010 Share Posted 7 June, 2010 A few for this evening at decent prices : Pontefract 7.45 Besty ew @ 10/1 : The "B's" could have it in this race with Baited Breath a short priced favourite and Bellinsky another I like at a decent price ( around 8/1). Baited Breath is too short at odds on though may well prove a class apart whilst Bellinsky goes up 5lbs for winning at Nottingham last time out though certainly had the best of the draw in that race so hard to know how fair that penalty is. So Besty my main bet with a small saver on Bellinsky and/or a forecast/tricast on the 3 mentioned if I'm feeling really lucky! Windsor 8.30 Night Lily @ 6/1: A wide open race but Night Lily has been in great form since joining the D'arcy yard and should run well again tonight. Crazy Chris runs in this race as well and has to be worth a few quid at 20/1 with Stan James and Corals Pontefract 9.15 King of Swords ew @ 12/1( Hills) : 3-time winner last summer (twice over C&D). Form figures don't look great this term but is well handicapped and looks excellent value at 12/1. Will look at possible ew doubles, maybe a treble these 3 albeit to small stakes. Cheers, Chris

frankie Posted 7 June, 2010 Share Posted 7 June, 2010 (edited) As you can probably guess my only two bets for this afternoon were, 'My Name is Frank' second at 11/2 and Red Twist second at 9/2 so a good run from both but not winners...theres a few I fancy tonight. As a side note i'm so glad Alpine_Saint does not frequent this forum area...what a **** Folkestone 7.15 Miss Keck looked a useful horse when winning this week, and this furlong longer trip may suit her even more as she was running on well over 2miles. 7.45 Bated Breath must be well thought of but is a very skinny price, one I will take him on with is Mark Johnstons Comedy Hall, he has not been flying this season but is down to just a pound higher mark than when last winning and as with all horses from this stable you know they will be trying. 8.15 Forsyth is now in handicap company, despite finishing behind Pass Muster last time out, he was a monkey at the start and must have wasted alot of energy, if he can settle this time, Swinbank remains in good form and is a master at getting his horses ready for handicap company 9.15 Baybshambles is a tentative selection in the last, he has been steadily improving every run this year and is down to a mark 2 pound lower than his last win. Windsor 8.30 I love Baylini but she needs everything to drop her way so my preference is for Cheam Forever, he was very well backed last time at Bath but ran poorly, he is an animal with alot of ability and I hope he can retain some of that tonight It looks like Richard Hannon has a strong hand at Windsor tonight, he has farmed the 6.30 race in recent years and has a great record at this track along with Richard Hughes, so a multiple bet on his horses tonight may pay dividends Good luck all Frankie p.s. I have stuck a couple of quid on Wunder Strike too in the hope that he can transfer his all weather form to the grass. chrisobee Posted 8 June, 2010 Share Posted 8 June, 2010 (edited) Back to the gee gees and what a poor day it is, really a day to leave well alone I reckon but just a few races of interest. Redcar 3.00 : Think this is a race to oppose the favourite Lutine Bell who looks very short at 7/4. Dazeen and Luv U Noo have been supported this morning, without having looked yet I'd not be surprised if one of these is a Hugh Taylor tip ! However, Vivo Volterra looks overpriced at 24/1 on Betfair dropping back in trip and may be the value in this race but it's by no means a confident selection- unlike Crazy Chris 3.35: Another open race, it may pay to side with Karaka Jack at around 6/1 who has run in some decent races but is still fairly unexposed.Charlie Cool seeks a hat trick and merits respect. Collateral Damage is another old favourite who has disappointed this year but may like the softer ground. 4.10 Had a good word for Hayler Cropper in this race but Mica Mika and Blind Stag both have good claims and at a price of around 2/1 I can leave Hayler Cropper to Roy ! Salisbury 2.15 : With Hindsight ran well on debut and is well regarded by the Clive Cox yard. However, Hannon runs 3 in this 18 runner race including 2 newcomers so how anyone is supposed to know what is likely to win is beyond me ! That's it I think, take it easy. Chris Edit Hugh has gone for these today: 3.35 REDCAR Exit Smiling ( another one in the mix !) 4.30 SALISBURY On Khee Edited 8 June, 2010 by chrisobee add HT tips

chrisobee Posted 8 June, 2010 Share Posted 8 June, 2010 A few more of interest : 4.30 - Salisbury - Babycakes - @ 9/2.This is a decent race of it's type with plenty of the Fillies present having the potential to improve further. Babycakes made her debut on grass at Doncaster last October but progressed subsequently in each of her four outings on the Polytrack surfaces. Back on turf for the first since that debut last time out at Nottingham she ran the progressive Ice Diva to within a length. The third subsequently ran Azlak (winner again yesterday) to a head at Pontefract. That was the first time Babycakes had been seen over ten furlongs and she ran all the way to the line, suggesting a galloping testing track like Salisbury could suit. Today's three pound higher mark demands another step forward but that looks a distinct possibility with her yard in form. Richard Hughes is on board a stablemate but Hayley Turner has ridden the selection in her last four races. 5.00 - Salisbury - Chateau Zara - e/w @ 14/1.High numbers are normally preferred but with rain easing the ground it may not be a disadvantage to be drawn low, especially as the best early pace seems to be on that side of the track. Chateau Zara is one who could be forcing the issue. She has been seen mainly over a mile up to now but the way she has been racing keenly in some of her recent races the drop back to seven furlongs may be a wise move. She is still a maiden after 8 races but she has posted some decent performances in defeat and has form on both fast and slow ground. The yard have been really struggling for turf winners this season but there have been some tentative signs recently that their horses are beginning to emerge from the doldrums. 5.15 - Redcar - Specialising - e/w. @ 16/1. Trained by Micky Channon Specialising has disappointed on last 2 starts but is bred to appeciate today's trip over 1m 2f. This race will not take too much winning and at 16/1 Specialising stands out to me as a very good value bet. Good luck all and especially Super Frank, it's a banker ! frankie Posted 8 June, 2010 Share Posted 8 June, 2010 Putting my selection here in the evenings mainly, due to no time in the morning... Beverley 2.00 Tanked Up looked quite useful, winning and coming second in similar races to this, he then ran behind one of todays opponents Madam Markievicz when not getting home over 6furlongs, back over 5 I fancy him to take the spoils 4.30 Captain John Nixon has been competing over just 7 furlongs in his 3 maiden runs to date, so this is a massive hike in distance, he is a pretty well bred horse, who if improving for the first run in handicap company and this big rise in distance could run very well. Haydock 2.20 Very Good Day is a very short price after finishing behind Rewilding on his last start, but I fancy Ellbeedee to overturn the favourite, she ran very green on only her second start, with that run under her belt she must surely come on for the experience, and Jarvis' horses often improve for the run, look out for Mark Johnstons well bred horse, running for the first time at 4!! 3.20 Ginger Ted was a non runner when declared for a race recently so keep an eye on him, if he does take his chance, his last run, despite being a win at 40/1 has worked out to be pretty decent form, both Flaneur and Kellys Eye who finished second and third have won races since, so it's Ginger Ted if he runs for me. 4.55 Satwa Moon has never raced on turf, but his style seems to indicate he won't have any problem on grass, the booking of Dettori looks significant for this horse who looked very useful on his seasonal debut when getting into all sorts of traffic problems but still winning cosily, he then ran a little below par after that, but after a bit of a break he could take a hand in this race. Yarmouth. 3.40 Via Aurelia for James Fanshawe and ridden by Jamie Spencer, looks extremely interesting on her handicap debut. 4.10 I expect the trainer and jockey to get a double with Deacon Blues winning this tight little contest. 5.40 Drum Major was a beaten favourite just two days ago, but this shorter trip should suit and I expect a win in a weak race. Cheers all Frankie

frankie Posted 9 June, 2010 Share Posted 9 June, 2010 Not a bad day, especially proud of spotting Captain John Nixon with the form figures of 098 but rising a significant way in trip, tonight looks pretty competetive but a few I like are. Hamilton 7.35 Tangerine Trees loves it here, he completed a hat-trick over this course and distance last summer and must surely go well again. 8.05 what a great race, Jedi looks a very useful horse but Mark Johnston has a strong hand here with 3 good horses, it is with his bottom weight Lady Eclair that I am going, he has done little wrong this year and if continuing to improve could well take a hand in proceedings. 9.05 Green Agenda Kempton. 7.20 Sulis Minerva 7.50 Magnetic Force 8.50 Posy Fossil 9.20 clockmaker Cheers all Frankie

chrisobee Posted 10 June, 2010 Share Posted 10 June, 2010 (edited) Really can't get inspired at present so just taking the chance to utilise the free bet offers around and more to come no doubt with Royal Ascot next week Picked up 2 x £25 so far with just a loss of £10 and have another £25 with Bet Chronicle today which will cost a maximum of about £2.50 to receive ( had to place £25 at BC on any market at 2.00 or over so had Surrey to beat Essex tonight at exactly 2.00 and laid Surrey on BF, £25 at 2.01 so total liability is £27.50 ) Easy money! As for our furry friends I am interested in a few. Newb 14:00 Dortmund @7/4 Ran an eye catching race on debut and should improve on that and looks the one to beat. Though the going at Haydock was fast he's bred to enjoy cut in the ground so any rain will probably not do any harm. Yarm 14:10 Divine Call @5/2 : This William Haggas trained three year old colt came out of his debut run well and the drop back to six furlongs today should see plenty of improvement which can see him take the opener in the hands of Liam Jones. Newbury 14.30 First In The Queue @10/1 ( Victor Chandler) : Not an obvious choice but may be better than the form figures suggest. Ran too freely to post last time out and did well to finish 5th. Newbury 15.05 Eleanora Duse @11/4: This Listed race is well within the compass of Elanora Duse who finished within a length of Aviate in the Musidora Stakes at York. She should take this class drop in her stride under champion jockey Ryan Moore. - I do think Deirdre is a decent bet with William Buick on board. Yarm 16:25 Broughtons Point @9/2/Mediterranean Sea ew @ 10/1 : Broughtons Point has improved since switched to handicaps/upped in trip, and landed C&D event in March by 1½ lengths from Any Given Moment (1 lb worse off now). Fair efforts in defeat 2 starts since. Mediterranean Sea has won on last 2 starts though steps up in trip to 2m for the 1st timeso stamina has to be a concern though I think this is reflected fairly in the price. This is a tricky looking race though and Frankie's Uncle Keef should go well and at a big price Three Boars looks very interesting and I note that whilst Betfred go 33/1 he's as short as 14/1 with Stan James. Nottingham 16.35 Rasselas @ Evens NAP : Not a great price but the cash poured onto this one at Ripon last time only for him to catch a real tartar in Florentine Ruler. Connections were visibly stunned, as the colt had been showing enormous promise at home. He can now show those heavy losses to be merely lent. The Luca Cumani trained Rock N Roll Ransom on debut looks a good choice for the forecast and with him being an unknown quantity going to do a small reverse forecast as a saver as it's hard to make a case for anything else though with the benefit of 2 runs Defence of The Realm may go well at 16/1. Nottingham 17.40 Skyrider @ 5/1: Will be suited by the longer trip and hopefully will come on from 2 previous runs this season when still looking a bit keen ( finished 4th both times). Haydock 19.50 Song of Parkes @ 11/2: Looks sure to be suited by dropping back to 5 furlongs having looked impressive and consistent on 4 previous starts over 6/7f. Remains relatively unexposed and looks excellent value at 11/2. May have a few more later, good luck all.
