chrisobee Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 Thanks Frankie. I just hope the horses are coping better than me with this heat. All winter without even a sniff of a cold and now a stinker. Anyway a couple I do like though without any long winded analysis. Leicester 2.00 : Plutocraft @5/2: Seems we are in with a good chance in this race with 3 different horses tipped ! This lightly-raced three-year-old drops back in distance for this handicap debut but William Buick’s mount showed plenty of pace on his latest start on the all-weather and can add to Fanshawe’s exemplary record with handicappers at this track. Carlisle 5.15 Champain Sands @5/1 : Tricky looking race but one I like is Champain Sands. Should enjoy the ground and has won here in the past over 7 furlongs. Wasn't given too much to do on seasonal debut and will surely come on for that. Good luck all, I'm back to bed Chris

chrisobee Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 Thank you kindly Stevo From my sick bed I have dragged myself out just to pass on a few more likely lovely losers: Carlisle 2.15 Button Moon @11/4 - Made a promising debut when finishing 3rd and likely to take a bit of stopping here, particularly as she's entitled to improve. 2.45 Royal Dignitary @ 100/30- Likely to be between the front 2 in the market Moody Tunes and Royal Dignitary who is for me definitely the value bet here. He has an excellent strike rate in recent seasons, and successful on 3 of last 6 starts, all 3 on AW. Equally effective on turf and seems sure to give a good account from the front. Rowan Lodge is not without a chance either @ 7/1 though has a bit to find at the weights.

frankie Posted 24 May, 2010 Share Posted 24 May, 2010 A few I fancy tonight Thirsk 6.55 I'm Frank...I know choosing a horse because of the name is wrong, but for its first handicap run I think he really has a lively chance, he is a pretty big price, but any improvement could see him go close. Windsor 7.10 Earlsmedic will be having a few pound of my money, he has been pretty consistent over this 6f trip winning 3 times last year, his last run was poor, but the stable seemed out of sorts at the time so that run can be excused. 7.40 A cracking little sprint this one, I fancied Swiss Diva but it is now a non runner, Lucky General looks to have a very good chance for the all conquering Hannon yard, but I am going for a little value with El Cambio, he was formerly trained in Australia, where he was a very useful horse, winning 6 times, he ran poorly in Meydan, but the visor has been fitted which will hopefully help him to show some improvement. 8.10 Nurture should hack up in this, dropping massively in class after running in the 1000 Guineas, but that may give her a false price, so I am going for a couple of horses at big prices that may well win...Anacopa could be anything so I will have a few quid on that horse and hope it's decent, and as the William Knight yard are all conquering I will also back Tehnophobe to improve on his debut run. A few big prices so don't expect too much Frankie

chrisobee Posted 25 May, 2010 Share Posted 25 May, 2010 (edited) A few I fancy for Tuesday: Ripon 2.10 Dream Boy@9/4 Trainer Kevin Ryan has a 25% strike-rate with his juveniles at this course and Jamie Spencer is an eye catching booking. Chepstow 2.20 Rojo Boy@2/1 ( General) 2 runs to date, showed a big improvement last time out in a very decent race at York. Despite carrying top weight looks to have a strong chance with Millyluvstobouggie the obvious danger. Lingfield 2.30 Reckless Reward @13/8 ( Stan James) Seems sure to come on from debut outing and this Richard Hannon trained colt definitely looks the one to beat here. Ripon 3.40 Reel Buddy Star ew@14/1 (General) Looks far too big a price for a horse whose 2 wins have both come over this trip and steps up from 7f on both starts this season. Lingfield 4.00 Warning Song ew @33/1 A bit of a longshot to say the least! Showed little on seasonal debut but placed on 5/6 starts last season. Redden is a clear and worthy favourite but at 6/4 I'd rather take a punt on Warning Song albeit to small stakes. Hexham 9.05 Flying Doctor NAP @5/4 Not a great price but is definitely the one to beat with 3 wins and a 2nd from 4 starts this term. Looked to have fair a bit in hand when winning last time out and not surprisingly his trainer is very positive about his chances today. frankie Posted 25 May, 2010 Share Posted 25 May, 2010 3 flat cards this afternoon and 2 jumps this evening...Will leave this evenings cards alone as there are some short prices and nothing really stands out at the moment. This afternoons selections are. Ripon 2.40 Castlebury in an in and out performer who after winning at this distance last year failed to sparkle, Swinbanks often get better with age, his best form is also on good/ good to form ground. 3.10 I expected Yashrid to be even 11/10 so to see him at 5/2 on Betfair is a massive surprise, this is his handicap debut and he has a workable mark, his trainer is flying and think he may rout this field. 3.40 Off Chance has been steadily backed all day and has a good chance for the in form Easterby, but I will be having a bet on Bencoolen, he has shown some in and out displays since joining Nicholls, but if he runs to the best of his ability he isnt without a chance at a big price. 5.10 Trade Secret has been running very well, he was in front of We'll Deal Again and Besty last time out and with the consistent Hanigan on board he could lead from start to finish. Chepstow. 2.50 Two things interest me about Channon's Leitzu, he has been running over longer distances than this 6 furlongs, plus he has Fallon on board, he has shown plenty of dash in the past, plus his form on grass (not all weather as compared to many rivals) gives him the edge. 3.20 Lastkingofscotland has a big chance in this seller but is a very short price, so I take him on with Blue Noodles, he had some good form on turf last year, winning over course and distance and his two runs this year will have got him spot on.... 4.20 I like the look of Dove Cottage in what at first glance looks a tricky contest at 4.20. This horse has run at Chepstow five times and won three of them. This obviously shows his like for the course. However the record looks even better when you consider that his two defeats were on unsuitable soft ground and that all of his fast gound runs at the welsh venue have resulted in victories. 4.50 Baltic Ben Lingfield 3.30 Kirsty's boy has good recent course form. 4.00 Marosh, bad draw but can lead or be held up so is versatile, he has run in some good races and George Baker is brilliant around Lingfield 5.30 Oceans Edge ran eyecatchingly before flopping on his handicap debut, the blinkers have been applied so let's hope they do the job. Good luck all Frankie
frankie Posted 25 May, 2010 Share Posted 25 May, 2010 Not much of a price but had a big word for Advertise in the 3.50 at Chepstow, had jockeys with their first rides last two starts and been given little assistance, with a proper jock on board, up in trip and balding in great form, he looks a great bet. chrisobee Posted 25 May, 2010 Share Posted 25 May, 2010 Just a couple more... 4.50 - Chepstow - Mr Maximas - e/w@.12/1 (General) It's far from certain that many of these will appreciate the step up to 12 furlongs and, on breeding, that could also be said about Mr Maximas. However he caught the eye staying on over a mile on his handicap debut at Nottingham in April and, in doing so, gave the impression that middle distances could suit. He has the physical scope to progress this season and he should come on for that first race in sven months. He has started handicap life on a lowly mark and, although the yard could be in better form, they have had big priced winners in the past. The selection has the advantage of not having to travel far and, in the current temperatures, that could be a blessing 5.10 - Ripon - We'll Deal Again - e/w.@ 8/1 (General) Strictly at the weights We'll Deal Again has his work cut out to beat Kelly's Eye on a line through Hoof It. However that could be misleading because the selection was making his seasonal reappearance and was hampered by a slow start over a fast five furlongs. Against race fit rivals he did well to finish where he did, showing good mid race pace in the process. Prior to that race he had been seen over distances from 6-8 furlong but he has plenty of speed as he showed when finishing third in a C/D Maiden last season. This is only his second season racing and a mark of 66 should be within his compass.
frankie Posted 25 May, 2010 Share Posted 25 May, 2010 Not the best of days with just one winner but a few things to note. Ripon 3.10 Yashrid (won 5/2)showed a very game attitude to win this by the smallest of margins after being headed and will surely improve for this run. 3.40 Ben Coolen (3rd 33/1) ran a nice race and will be worth following especially when dropped in grade and possibly upped in trip. Chepstow. 3.20 Fav beaten then given race, but if you look at the replay I feel my selection could have run the first two very closely with a better ride (your views would be welcome) 4.50 Had to laugh at this as both my selection and Chris' were withdrawn at the start of the race, the weight of our selections must have been too much. Lingfield. 4.00 Marosh (2nd 11/2) is definitely one for the notebook, he was at the back of the field with under a furlong to go and weaved his way smoothly through without catching the winner, surely only a matter of time before he wins.. Hexham looks a favs night tonight and I may do a multiple of some sort including Mccoys rides and Flying Doctor, as for Huntingdon, Gunship and Midnight gold look nice for a double and Celestial Dragon in the Hunter Chase could be worth a few quid. Take care all Frankie

Take care all Frankie Yes, of course the withdrawal of both our selections did not go unnoticed. I laughed too ! Bencoolen did run a very good race and would have course rewarded ew support at 33/1. I had already watched the the 3.20 at Chepstow a few times. I thought Andrew Heffernan gave Blue Noodles a decent ride to be honest, just unlucky close home that the 2 leaders converged right in front! However, I think the decision to disqualify Set To Go was absurd. Hughes had his whip in his right hand I thought though he did give Set To Go a few slaps on the left but for me it was actually Lastkingofscotland's jockey who moved across and caused the problem. ( must admit it would help if I could see the head on replay!) Just the one winner here as well at a skinny 5/4 but at least I did go ew on Well Deal Again who squeaked 3rd by the shortest of short heads over your selection Trade Secret. chrisobee Posted 26 May, 2010 Share Posted 26 May, 2010 (edited) Really is pretty dire today so I'll skip any analysis except to say I think all these at least offer a little value on a day where it's very hard to find ( 163% book in a 3 runner field at Sedgefield and that's taking best prices, purely taking the proverbial.) 2.20 - Sedgefield - First Lord ew@10/1 4.25 - Ayr - The Nifty Fox - @ 15/2 (General)/Dr Parkes@ 5/1 ( General) 5.00 - Sedgefield - Downing Street - e/w.@12/1 (General) 5.25 - Ayr - Papa's Princess - e/w @14/1 (General) 7.30 - Beverley - Orchid Street - e/w. @ 11/1 (General) Small stakes, consider ew doubles, trebles, whatever takes your fancy. frankie Posted 26 May, 2010 Share Posted 26 May, 2010 Nice to see Fallon do so well today especially as I had Five Star Junior, my only bet of the day.....also good to see Mark Johnston get a couple of winners at Ffos Las as his runners have been a little out of form of late. Beverley. 7.30 Malpas Missile, see above post for reasons. 8.00 I have to oppose Chris O here, I think Coolminx will take all the beating he has course and distance form, the in form partnership of Fahey and Hanigan plus he looks the sort to make an even better horse at 3. 8.30 Banks and Braes cannot remain a maiden forever surely, I will back her until she breaks that tag, and hopefully tonight will be the night, her last run behind Buffett doesnt look bad form. Southwell looks very tricky tonight, my only real fancy is Don't Call Me Derek....and as for Punchestown, its impossible, just huge fields. frankie Posted 26 May, 2010 Share Posted 26 May, 2010 Looks a cracking days racing and will keep my powder pretty dry for Sandown tonight, just a couple of fancies during the day. Wolverhampton. 3.00 Mainstay could be anything, but has a bad draw and lack of experience round here may find him out, Diapason has a liking for Wolverhampton winning twice here last year, the yard is in good form and is a tentative selection, I also like the look of Wasmi, but Clive Brittains often come on for a run. 4.30 I tipped Cecils Titbit last time out but she dissapointed, she will surely have come on for the run and is worth chancing at a projected double figure price. 5.00 Nafura was a beaten favourite last time out, but in two runs at this track she has won both, she was running on over a mile last time so this extra furlong will surely suit. Ayr looks trappy, although if you can get 5/2 or more about Saxford in the claimer that could be worth a bet. Very small open fields at Brighton too, so no bets there... Have a great day Frankie

Frankie Didn't see this Frankie so settled for the 4 in the end, got one double up with Don't Call Me Derek cantering home by 24 lengths so we got that one spot on and Leader of The Land just about the easiest winner you'll ever see. Mister Hughie ( or rather Jamie Spencer) contrived to fall in a 4 runner flat race just when coming to challenge after a slow start. Clipped the heels of the eventual winner. The freebie came about after I posted some info on the Betfair FB page, they kindly gave me a free £20 which I promptly stuck on one Video Poker game and hit a Royal Flush Chris

chrisobee Posted 27 May, 2010 Share Posted 27 May, 2010 (edited) Decent evening racing, for me a day to go ew with doubles and trebles, probably a Yankee on these 4 which are all decent prices. 6.05 - Sandown - Rumble Of Thunder - e/w.@ 9/1 (General) Resurge and Dubai Crest are arguably the best handicapped horses in the race but Rumble Of Thunder has a chance of an uncontested lead and with his reappearance behind him he could go well. He went close over this C/D from a one pound lower mark last August and, in hindsight, he did well to get within three lengths of Alainmaar, even in receipt of a stone, subsequently at Newmarket. He improved slowly throughout last season, one Goodwood disappointment aside, and gave the impression he needed the run at Newmarket last time out. The yard have had two winners (both at Bath on Sunday) from the six runners they have sent out this season and they have a decent record here. Of the 29 entries they have made in recent seasons six have won and a further seven have placed. 8.20 - Sandown - Lord Zenith - e/w. @ 8/1 (General) Fallen Idol has the potential to be better than this grade but at this moment in time he doesn't appeal at around 13/8. At a much bigger price Lord Zenith may be a better option. He had improved with each outing until finding the 2000 guineas beyond him. However, he wasn't disgraced, and prior to that he did win a Listed race on the A/W, despite still looking green. He gives the impression that there is still improvement to come over a mile and he will enjoy the likely fast conditions he will encounter here. The five pound penalty he has received for winning that race will not make things easy but with his Trainer/Jockey in good form he looks likely to give his running. They have enjoyed a good season on the turf so far with a 29% strike rate yielding a l.s.p of £13. 8.40 - Newcastle - Hamoody - e/w.@18/1 (General) Hamoody hasn't won since taking the Group Two Richmond Stakes at Goodwood as a Juvenile. He had a brief stint in America before returning to his former yard for last season. He was only seen four times before being sold to current connections who have had him gelded. He never beat a horse home on his debut for them at Pontefract last month but there were definite signs that he retains plenty of ability over five furlongs at York last time out. He was hampered mid race, after which his jockey seemed to accept that he wasn't going to make the frame. However, under hands and heels, Hamoody never lost any further ground and his jockey gave him a few soft slaps to at least give the impression that he was putting an effort in. The step back up to six furlongs will suit the selection and he is with a yard who have a knack of rejuvenating horses from other stables. 8.50 - Sandown - Docofthebay - e/w. @ 9/1 (General) Otherwise a few more I've considered : Ayr 2.50 Jigajag: Looks a gimme but as we all know anything can happen and too short at around 4/5 Wolverhampton 3.00 Faithful One @5/1 : Very consistent performer, winner on penultimate start before finding a decent sort in Hatheeq last time out and which was tipped on here. Wouldn't go overboard as this is a competitive race but worth a few quid at what I feel is a good price. Frankie's Mainstay an obvious danger. Ayr 3.20 Mutafajer @9/4 : Looks sure to improve on previous start when he broke his maiden, this could prove his optimum trip and definitely the one to beat for me. Sandown 6.35 Cape To Rio @11/10- Another short price but looks well ahead on the form book and highly regarded by the Hannon yard. 11/10 looks a decent price for this one. Newcastle 8.10 Sendali ew @8/1 : Tight little race but I'm opting for Sendali ew at a best priced 8/1 Good luck all, Chris Edited 27 May, 2010 by chrisobee add analysis

frankie Posted 27 May, 2010 Share Posted 27 May, 2010 Cracking racing tonight especially at Sandown.. At Newcastle I fancy Spring Breeze in the 8.10 and Miss Mittagong in the 9.15 who is in the in form R Becketts only runner here, and he has travelled 660 miles (round trip) for this last race. At Wetherby I will do a little double with 8.30 Farmer Frank and 9.05 Benmadigan. on to Sandown and Johnston does very well here, his horses are now flying so must be considered tonight. 6.05 Mannlichen has the blinkers applied for Mark Johnston, he is a consistent animal, and hopefully Dettori can bounce the horse out, dictate the tempo and run the finish out of the challengers. 6.35 Can't see Cape to Rio being beaten but a skinny price so a small each way on Ryans Nasharra for interest. 7.10 What a race, Opinion Poll was very impressive last time out, but this ground should be totally different, Darley Sun was immensively impressive for his old trainer last year and now at Godolphin he should show even more improvement, if that is the case he will be virtually unbeatable over the marathon trips. 8.20 No Hubris was a non runner when I tipped him last time (surprise surprise) his trainer thinks alot of him and he has course and distance form, he has the potential to surprise the short price favourite. 8.50 Dunn'o and Flora Trevalyn dutched. Frankie Thanks Frankie, yes Lucky Leigh did run a nice race, good to see Mick's horses back in form. Just Sam was very impressive. At present I'm struggling to even wake up so watch this space ! chrisobee Posted 29 May, 2010 Share Posted 29 May, 2010 I do have some stats/info courtesy of Key Racing News : The 'Heads up' Bulletin from Key Racing News Market Pointers Early market pointers Pricewise: 3.20 Newmarket, Gene Autry (1pt win @ 12/1 generally) & Swilly Ferry (1pt win @ 20/1 with Boylesports or Ladbrokes) G Delamere: 3.20 Newmarket, Walk On Water. 3.30 Haydock, Lord Shanakill BR-Trends: 3.20 Newmarket, Pastoral Player. 3.30 Haydock, Lord Shanakill. Ladbrokes: None specifically - were joint or 2nd lowest on Gene Autry & Free For All at Newmarket. Also taking a slightly cautious view about Lovelace & Dream Eater at Haydock Eye-catchers Eye-catchers with entries today, flagged up by respected sources over the past few weeks King Of Jazz (IRE), 4:30 Newmarket Ken Pitterson 19/5/10 - performed well above his paddock appearance on debut (looked short of peak fitness) yet nearly got the job done in decent Newbury maiden and should be hard to beat NTO in similar company. Polish World (USA), 4:50 Beverley H Taylor 28/4/10 - 1st run for Paul Midgely, looks well handicapped, ran well for seasonal reappearance, 1 mile looks OK, ran all the way to the line, could improve nicely for that and be well ahead of mark. Races to be won. Main Aim, 3:30 Haydock K Pitterson 19/5/10 - looked fantastic in the paddock at York, but shaped as if just needing the run finding a 2nd wind and running on. Likely to be spot on NTO. Bow To No One (IRE), 4:45 Haydock H Taylor 12/5/10 - excellent reappearance, was progressive last term, looks in very good form and likely to have another good season. 14-16fl ideal. Gallops, yards & connections Ad hoc information from the Newmarket gallops, TV, websites, Twitter blogs, the racing press and beyond Notable last week on the Newmarket gallops: H R A Cecil, Rodrigo De Torres (E Ahern) – worked best last Saturday of a trio that included Corporal Maddox (I Mongan) & Kings Bayonet (J Quinn). Corporal Maddox was noted working well the week prior, pulling clear of his lead. ---------------------------------------- Richard Hannon, Gene Autry "He has a definite chance in what looks a competitive sprint. He’s dropping in trip but he’s not short of speed". Hughie Morrison, Pastoral Player "He loves fast ground and hopefully they will not have too much rain. With a better draw he would have won on his return and he certainly has ability". Charlie Hills, Swilly Ferry "He was not quite himself last time but looks to be in much better form now and we have to be hopeful." James Fanshawe, Bagamoyo "We could do with a drop of rain. We were happy with his reappearance and he’s in good heart." Teddy Grimthorpe, Main Aim "He ran on really well at York...he won this race last year and hopefully he can put in another strong performance" Mark Gittins, Lord Shanakill "He had a good blow after the Lockinge and has come on a ton for it. He can do 6 furlongs, but I’d say he’s a 7fl horse." David Nicholls, Lovelace "He’s run twice for us and won both times, this is his biggest test. It will be interesting to see how he gets on. He’s in grand form." William Haggas, High Standing "6fl would be ideal. A drop of rain would be OK, but I’ll be disappointed if the ground gets soft." David Elsworth, Barshiba "She’s in good form and looks to have a winning chance. The next stop will be Royal Ascot, win lose or draw." Kevin Ryan, Les Fazzani "She’s in good form. I was pleased with her at Chester and expect another big run." Charles O’Brien, Bewitched "She’s in good form and has come on for her last run. The less rain they have the happier I’ll be." William Haggas, Quarrel "We’ve always planned to come here as a stepping stone to Royal Ascot. He’ll come on a bit for the race. I’ve got him pretty fit and I’m hopeful of a decent run" Richard Hannon, Angel’s Pursuit "He has to have a great chance of following up. Hughsie insists he’s an out-and-out sprinter, and if he’s right he’s the one to beat here." Miscellaneous Other in-form or improving runners from the in-house Key Racing News database Green Moon (IRE), 2:15 Newmarket KRN - Promise at 2 and much improved this spring, following maiden win with impressive all-the-way success in hot Newbury handicap. May prove the value shot with the possibility that Alrasm may be slightly flattered by form gained at Chester and less effective on fast ground. Ransom Note, 2:45 Newmarket KRN - The Hills team are excited about this progressive type who has evidently wintered very well and won going away on reappearance with a powerful run. Up 9lbs for that but looks capable of accepting that rise and of finding more improvement. Gene Autry (USA), 3:20 Newmarket KRN - In need of the run first time up and asked too big a question at Haydock when suffering interference, the drop back in trip poses no problems and extra stamina on tap is never a bad quality to have in a large Cl2 sprint handicap at HQ. Early Applause (IRE), 4:30 Newmarket KRN - King Of Jazz is expected to be difficult to beat, but one option is Barry Hills’ Early Applause who has come on very well for his debut in a hot Newmarket Conditions race that appeared to come too soon. Trends Report: Timeform Jury Stakes Key: SP of 11/2 or less (13/15), ran at a G1 venue LTO (14/15). Main Aim & Lord Shanakill are the basic qualifiers and both would be good candidates. Favourites are 4/15 but have taken it the last twice. The value, however, tends to rest with the 2nd or 3rd favourite (9/15 +£12.66, +40.8 ROI) and in a tight contest it is probably best to take whichever qualifier trades at the higher price. chrisobee Posted 29 May, 2010 Share Posted 29 May, 2010 (edited) Just tips, no analysis as such. Plenty of rain about so I'd keep a close check on the going and in any event play to small stakes: Hayd 14:00 High Standing- small win bet only, generally prefers 6 furlongs Newm 14:15 Alrasm - slightly preferred over Green Moon Hayd 14:30 Angels Pursuit - Decent price at 5/1 Newmarket 14.45 Ransom Note : As above the Hills team are excited about this progressive type who has evidently wintered very well and won going away on reappearance with a powerful run. Up 9lbs for that but looks capable of accepting that rise and of finding more improvement. Will go close I think. Hayd 15:00 Barshiba- banking on Hayley to do the business again Newmarket 15.20 Bagamoyo - e/w. @ 9/1 (General) Catterick 15.25 Internationaldebut - Tricky race, at 5/1 ew is an option Hayd 15:30 Main Aim- rain should be a positive Newm 15:55 Red Jazz NAP- short price but should win Bev 16:15 Tombi- good price in a small field Hayd 16.45 - Crackentorp Up in trip which is a slight concern but at 7/1 looks a decent bet Haydock 17.20- Quiet - e/w. @ 11/1 (Stan James) Newmarket 17.40 Abayaan - e/w @ 14/1 (General) Good luck, stay cool, stay dry ! frankie Posted 29 May, 2010 Share Posted 29 May, 2010 The usual really competitive Saturday racing today, hard to keep selections to a minimum but will try. Newmarket 2.15 Green Moon has looked very impressive winning his two runs this year, this is a step up in class, but with question marks about the Godolphin and Hannon horses, plus a skinny price on the favourite I fancy him to improve and take this event for his hattrick. 2.45 Munsarim ran in some very hot races as a two year old, with multiple winners coming out of them, he has a low mark for his handicap debut and can take this race before going on to better things. 3.20 I am sure Gene Autry will have her backers, but I really like the look of Cecils unexposed Walk on Water, she looked good on Good to firm / firm ground on her first two starts before seemingly hating the soft ground, this should be much more up her street and hopefully she can win here. Another at a big price to look at is Side Glance who has course and distance form. 3.55 Let's hope Cecil has a good day as I think his Rodrigo De Torres will overturn the favourite, he showed good form last time out when beating the useful Meezaan and he is meant to be going very well at home. Nothing really stands out at Beverley for me today, but I will be watching Look Busy in the 4.15, this is a drop in class and i'd like to see her win. Haydock. Looking out of the window I can only back one horse, Rainfall was very impressive winning his debut, it is impossible to say what that form amounts too, but that was over 7f, at a furlong less here, I hope he can blast out, use his stamina and blunt the finishing speed of his rivals. 3.00 Polly's Mark ran very well last time out, finishing fourth behind some smart colts, that run should have sharpened her up and conditions today will really suit her. 3.30 Doncaster Rover finished just behind Main Aim on there last start, yet Doncaster Rover is nearly 4 times the price, his trainer is in good form so a small bet on Doncaster Rover for me. 4.45 I fancy plenty in this race....Aaim to Prosper will be my main bet after a promising reappearance and I will chuck a couple of quid on Godolphins outsider Urban Poet. Over at Catterick my only bet will be Frognal in the 4.35, he has been well backed recently and will be again today I think, his trainer is in sparkling form and he is handicapped to win today. Good luck all And keep dry Frankie
