chrisobee Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 (edited) Bloody hell , what a crap day, was going to do Subtefuge but steered clear...then I was doing Noodles Blue Boy and went with fav, but the major two i'm ****ed with and didnt do are Saint Thomas as vibes for fav were so positive and bloody Red Twist because I didnt get home on time...pahhh Nice tip on Iceman George Chrisobee...very nice.. Frankie Thanks Frankie though you clearly spent too long on the dark side Just a quick visit is all it takes and up pops Iceman George !! You're just having one of those runs which happens to everyone though mostly me !! Cheers, Chris PS I was aware Red Twist won at a very nice price, 33/1 but though I may be wrong I think it was about 125/1 or more on BF so damned unlucky to be sure. chrisobee Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 York is invariably a good meeting Frankie, think it is less likely that an unfavourable draw will scupper any horses chances as was clearly the case with several and particularly Music Show at Newmarket. Nothing definite yet though I'm finding Aviate hard to oppose at York in the 2.40 and also checking out Full Victory at Bath ( 7.30). Will aim to post a few definite tips by 1pm. Cheers, Chris
chrisobee Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 Ok for Wednesday : York 1.40 : Nothing really stands out for me here so this is not a race I'll be playing in. Forte De Marmi may well prove a worthy favourite with Indian Days a decent enough chance at around 8/1 but not one I'm getting involved with. 2.10 : Summerinthecity looks another favourite with very good claims but I'm not excited by the price of around 9/4 so again going to swerve it. 2.40 : Though Aviate still catches my eye concerns about whether she'll stay the trip put me off. That aside the the Hugh Taylor tip for this race Elenora Duse merits respect at around 9/1 but another race I'm just going to watch and enjoy. 3.10 Mullionmileanhour ew @ 9/1 ( Blue Square) : Just a small interest in this one. With the 1st race fast approaching I'll post this now ! Still looking at a few and am particularly keen as is Frankie on Bosss Destination in the 4.55 though fair to say there are a few on my shortlist. Good luck Chris
LA77 Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 3.55 Exeter i'm going to have a few quid each way on Special Bond, currently 20/1.
chrisobee Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 Ok for Wednesday : York 1.40 : Nothing really stands out for me here so this is not a race I'll be playing in. Forte De Marmi may well prove a worthy favourite with Indian Days a decent enough chance at around 8/1 but not one I'm getting involved with. Chris Decent run by Indian Days to finish 2nd after trying to make all but Imposing another winner for Ryan Moore and Sir Michael Stoute. Forte De Marmi not disgraced in 4th, just didn't seem to quite stay the trip.
chrisobee Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 Ok, the rest of York card: 3.10 - York- Mullionmileanhour - e/w. @ 9/1 (Sportingbet) The Khalid Abdulla pair of Showcasing and Main Aim along with the Aiden O'Brien Australian Import, Starspangledbanner, will command most attention. However they all have one question or another to answer. Showcasing is a three year old taking on his elders at a time of year when that is not easy. Main Aim has to prove his well-being after his form tailed off last season and Starspangledbanner hails from a yard whose horses, for whatever reason, have been failing to shine when they have travelled. At a bigger price it may therefore be worth chancing Mullionlieanhour. He has improved with each run and, after just four outings, there could be much more to come. He has plenty to find with the principals strictly on the ratings but he produced a smart effort to run Equiano to a short head last time out at Newmarket and he is with a Trainer who knows how to produce a sprinter. This is by far the selection's stiffest task to date but he has the basic speed for a quick track like this and deserves to take his chance. 3.45 - York: Omokoroa - @ 10/1 (General) Persian Peril @ Available at 14/1 (General) A wide open handicap in which some of the more fancied runners aren't favourably drawn. Two that make some appeal are Omokoroa and Persian Peril, although neither will want the ground riding too fast. Persian Peril returned over an inadequate mile at Pontefract last month and performed well to finish 6/15, beaten eight and a half lengths. He has run some good races at this track and went close over ten furlongs from a one pound lower mark last October. He has yet to win over 12 furlongs but he does stay the trip and the likelihood of a decent gallop will suit this strong travelling type. Omokoroa has only been seen ten times but he finished in the frame six times, winning once. he returned a decent effort in a race not run to suit on his return at Yarmouth last month and that will have put him spot on for this. he stays further so a decent gallop will also suit him. he has the profile of a horse who will find further improvement this season and the yard, as well as being in good form, do well at this track. 4.20: Only 5 go to post but at least 3 could easily win this with Bahcelli, C ocktail Charlie and Majestic Myles all winners on debut. Mick Channon runs Saucy Buck and at around 7/1 is also not without chances. 4.55 - York - Contract Caterer - e/w.@ 10/1 (General)/ Bosss Destination ew@ 14/1 Contract Caterer was put firmly in his place by Wigmore Hall over ten furlongs at Newmarket last time out but that still represented an improved effort. He stayed on well in the latter stages and there are enough early pacers in this race to make it the generous gallop he needs to be seen at his best. He has improved in each of his five races since his debut this time last year and that has coincided with a step up in trip from 6 through 7 and 8 to 10 furlongs. Frankie Dettori retains faith and his strike rate at this track is not bettered by many. Bosss Destination finally looks to be running over a trip more in keeping with his breeding so is definitely worth an interest, will be disappointed if this one doesn't at the very least give us a good run for our money.
chrisobee Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 At Bath tonight: 7.30 Full Victory win @7/1 ( various)/ Cheam Forever ew @9/1 ( Totesport) Perth 6.50 King Roonah: Been the subject of very good support but now trading at around 3/1 so seems to me the value has gone.
LA77 Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 well bo***cks to that, stone last ffs. Marc of brilliance won at 6/1 (and i never backed it) and trap 1 at Belle vue 3.38 came in. What's more annoying, putting money on and losing, or not putting money on and it then wins? FFS
frankie Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 Right back to going with my instincts etc. and not with the money.. Wednesday looks a decent days racing to be fair, especially at York. 1.40 Forte De Marmi looked extremely impressive when winning last time out, and I struggle to find anything to go against it, Stoutes horse Imposing may be useful, but his often need the run, and Saga De Tercey interests me, but his best runs have been over further. 2.10 Rainfall was extremely impressive on his debut, and although the form doesnt amount to much, he could only beat what was there, if he has improved again, which he is likely too he could be very useful, I rate Jarvis' business as Usual as the danger 3.10 A cracking race with many in with chances, but I will be keeping my eye on O'Briens Starspangledbanner, he makes his debut for both trainer and on British soil after showing top, top form in Australia, who can produce some very useful horses, if the 5ib penalty and the ground doesnt inconvenience him he should run well. 3.45 John Dunlop has not had too many runners so far this term, but when he does run something it is worth keeping an eye on, his Itlaaq looks to have good claims here if fit and ready, he is still lightly raced and could well be open to more improvement, he has run well at this trip previously and will hopefully see off Veloso in a tight finish. 4.55 Boss's Destination has been running over 7 furlongs in maidens but is bred to go much further, this trip should be much more to his liking and I expect him to run a decent race. Just a couple of selections over the jumps. Exeter 3.20 Bernard Fontwell 3.00 Kapelhoff...old timer loves it round Fonty. 4.10 Zero Good luck all Frankie Blimey I seem to have had the curse of the Kip, after meeting him at the weekend I can't buy a winner, plus I had 3 non runners !!!!! Must get some winners tonight. Frankie
frankie Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 Right tonights selections to lay :-) Bath 6.30, Who love ya baby, Kojak was well fancied when playing up last time out and shipping Richard Hughes, lets hope he settles tonight and wins this moderate looking contest. 7.00 Graylyn Ruby interests me in this race, he has done little since joining this yard, but he has some ok form in the past and the stable are going ok. 7.30 Theres a couple I fancy in this race, Cheam Forever ran well for a long way in its last race but tried to make all, with different tactics he may be able to reserve some energy and win...plus I will have a little on Compton Blue, who won a couple of nice races last year in an inconsistent season, hopefully this year he can find some consistency in this grade. 8.00 Gra Adhmar was tipped by me last time but he found trouble in running, I hope he can avoid that here as his trainer has a good record around Bath and Sanders is a positive jockey booking. 8.30 Matteroffact Not much I fancy over jumps tonight, but I will have a few quid on Bernie'stheboss in the 7.50 at Perth as my brother is called Bernie (I know it's the way to the poor house) Frankie
frankie Posted 12 May, 2010 Posted 12 May, 2010 The curse has been broken, after a couple of seconds Kojac (who with a better ride would have won) and Graylyn Ruby, I at last have a winner with Compton Blue. Tomorrow again looks a tricky, if good quality of racing at York. 1.40 I can't back anything with any confidence in a very wide open race, but I will have a few quid on Bertoliver, who ran an o.k. first race for his new yard, and Williams likes to have a big race winner, and I will chuck a couple of quid at Elsworth's Swiss Franc, he has not shown much so far this year but the booking of Spencer to ride is eyecatching. 2.10 There's no doubt that both Sariska and Midday will take some beating, both running and winning some top class races, but I'm willing to take them on with Godolphins Flying Cloud, he was useful for Fabre, then looked even better with his first run for Godolphin, he is pretty unexposed and will hopefully improve again to win this. 2.40 Workforce is meant to be some beast, but there are question marks against him, Stoute's often need there first run and he hasn't been showing much on the gallops (although he apparently doesnt according to his trainer) because of this (now watch him win by a street) I will go for O'Briens Cape Blanco, he looked impressive last year, winning his final of 3 wins on ground he disliked, this shows a good attitude, he has only run over 7furlongs, but this longer trip should suit. 3.10 Rainbow Peak will be all the rage for this race i'm sure, but in such a competitive affair, his price is prohibitive, so I will have Extraterrestrial, he ran very well in three hot handicaps before showing little as a beaten favourite at Chester, as you know Chester is a funny track and i'm just hoping that Extraterrestial failed to act there and will put that run behind him here. Salisbury looks ok too and a few I fancy there are. 3.00 Mark to Market look an interesting horse, he has been running over further in his maidens and fading, now back in trip and on a low mark for his handicap debut, be not be too surprised to see an improved run. 5.15 AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's my worse nightmare, Frank Street (trainer in good form and shown a bit of form at 2) Super Frank (Won 4 times at the start of last year and goes well fresh) The Name is Frank (Pretty consistent sort that has won at the course) All in the same race and not without an outside chance, going to have to do all three i'm afraid Take care all and good luck Frankie
chrisobee Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 (edited) Ok, my bets/mentions today, my luck must change! York 1.40 Judge 'N' Jury - e/w. @14/1 (General)/Fol Hollow e/w @ 11/1 (Bet 365) Judge 'N' Jury is not ideally drawn in stall 15 but he is a very experienced sprinter who ran well in a better race than this on his reappearance. This looks his easiest assignment for some time and he has a win from a six pound higher mark to his name, so he is weighted to get very competitive. All eight of his career victories have come at the minimum trip and all ground seems to come alike to him. The yard have struggled for winners on the turf for a while now but there have been more encouraging signs from their horses recently. Fol Hollow could be in the handicappers grip but this fast five furlongs could suit a horse who has plenty of early toe and he has been a model of consistency over the past 12 months. The stable jockey replaces the claimer who has been on board for his last two outings and fast ground suits. If he bags the lead early on he could be a difficult horse to pass under these conditions. The yard continue in good form and they have a very profitable track record. 2.10 Sariska : Only 4 go to post and hard to look beyond Sariska and Midday. Preference is for Sariska who of course followed up her Oaks win ( ahead of Midday and Flying Cloud who also runs in this) by winning the Irish Oaks last year as well. Kept off the track by slight injury but looks to have every chance today. However, at around even money it's not really worth getting involved so it's a race to watch and enjoy for me 2.40 Chabal @ 9/4: Ok, before I manage to convince myself this is not a strong bet I'm definitely siding with Chabal here to overcome the most likely challenger in Workforce. Chabal was runner up on only his 2nd start in a Group 1 race last year before running too freely in the Dewhurst. However, potential was clearly there and now moved to the Saeed bin Suroor stable and won nicely at Sandown on reappearance. With Frankie ( Dettori that is) on board looks to be a very likely winner. Workforce and the Stoute/Moore combination cannot be dismissed lightly and neither can the O'Brien trained Cape Blanco, unbeaten on 3 starts to date. 3.10 - York - Actrostic - @ 5/1 (General)/ Rainbow Peak- saver @7/2 ( Blue Square) The unbeaten Rainbow Peak heads the market but, although he looks to have the pace for this trip, he looked likely to be suited by a step up in trip this season so he could be vulnerable over this mile on his reappearance. Acrostic has posted some decent progressive form since entering handicap company and, with the yard continuing in good form, he could be straight enough to go very well on his seasonal debut. He has run well on both previous visits to this track and acts on ground on both the fast and slow side of good. Acrostic starts the campaign on a mark of 103 but that is only three pounds higher than when finishing two lengths third to Roaring Forte over this C/D last August. That looks strong form with Webbow nearly five lengths back in fourth. So Acrostic is my main bet but I'm going to cover my stake by backing Rainbow Peak as well. 3.45 An absolute minefield of a race and definitely one to swerve. Duchess Dora does seem to be well fancied so one for Kipper if he is doing his placepot! 4.20 A 17 runner field over 6f with loads of newcomers is invariably going to be a bookies benefit race and an overround figure currently of 114% is really not helpful ! Elzaam represents Michael Jarvis, who has scored with his only juvenile raider to date and this Australian-bred representative is superior to the stable winner by all accounts. The vibes from the track are very strong but at 5/2 I really think that is short enough for a horse making it's debut. 4.55 - York - King In Waiting - e/w @ 10/1 (General) This race has began to cut up and there must be doubts about some of the remaining runners seeing out this 18 furlong trip. Twist Again has no worries on that score but at around three times his price it may be worth chancing King In Waiting. He may not have seen out 22 furlongs at Pontefract last time out but he wasn't disgraced and he could be seen in a better light dropped back to today's distance. He went close over 17 furlongs at Wolverhampton last October and may have been too keen when finishing in midfield over this C/D later the same month. He runs from two pound out of the handicap here but the booking of Jamie Spencer takes the eye and his riding style will suit the selection. The stable are showing signs of hitting form and they are not in the habit of booking top jockeys very often. Perth 3.25 Right or Wrong: Only BF to go on in terms of price but likely to be a shade of odds against. The front 2 in the market are both from the Gordon Elliott stable but Right or Wrong clearly seems to be the first choice ahead of Financialregulator. The selection was not given a hard ride at this track back in April. Reverts to hurdles today but the drop in class should be more than enough to ensure he can take this race today with a very reliable jockey in Jason Maguire on board. Salisbury 4.10 Mujdeya : Another which is not going to be a great price at around 6/4. However, looks to have bags of promise and seems sure to come on from her seasonal reappearance at Newbury when showing signs of greenness. Shimmering Moment looks the obvious threat and is another open to lots of improvement. However, may well prove better at a shorter trip. Newmarket 7.25 Baylini ew @20/1 888sport : Just a small ew bet here. Really seems to go better on the AW but runs off a reduced mark today and in a wide open race where there are questions marks about most of the runners may just spring a surprise. Good luck, Chris Edited 13 May, 2010 by chrisobee Update
chrisobee Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 (edited) 5.15 AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's my worse nightmare, Frank Street (trainer in good form and shown a bit of form at 2) Super Frank (Won 4 times at the start of last year and goes well fresh) The Name is Frank (Pretty consistent sort that has won at the course) All in the same race and not without an outside chance, going to have to do all three i'm afraid Take care all and good luck Frankie Lol, since none have any real chance,( Super Frank looks the pick but looks anything but Super !) that looks likely to be 3 losing bets in one race and following the worst reason in the world and backing horses due to their name. Sheer folly Good luck my son, you'll need it though my comments are quite likely to give you a much needed helping hand ! Chris Edit: Only just noticed this "Not much I fancy over jumps tonight, but I will have a few quid on Bernie'stheboss in the 7.50 at Perth as my brother is called Bernie (I know it's the way to the poor house) " Pulled up, I rest my case ! Edited 13 May, 2010 by chrisobee Add footnote :)
chrisobee Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 (edited) Should have stuck with Aviate. Tell me about it, at 7am it was a sure fire winner. By 9am having read various comments about it not being sure to stay ( which was a possibility but still looked a good thing) a few doubts had crept in and then a small walk in the market and then at about 10am the wretched HT tipping Elenora Muse and suddenly the only thing I thought I knew was that I seemed to know nothing ! From then on the die was well and truly cast, I could have found any number of reasons NOT to back Mullionmileanhour but did so anyway. On to the next and despite saying neither Omokoroa or Persian Peril would not want the going to be too quick I went and backed them anyway. Persian Peril finishing 3rd @10/1 only made things worse as I considered going ew but decided against that without again really knowing why. Still it was not all doom and gloom, I was on both Contract Catererer and Bosss Destination EACH WAY in the finale and surely some reward awaited. Well it did with CC finishing 3rd at 7/1 and my 10's looking pretty good but fair to say by then I was only really interested in a nice priced winner. Finally 2 good looking types against the field in the 7.30 at Bath. However, by then Frankie had tipped Compton Blue, my ew selection, Cheam Forever, had been backed into 9/2 and my win bet gone walkabouts to 12/1. So Cheam Forever decides not to even look like winning whilst Full Victory manages to get beaten a head ( or was it a neck, who cares !) by said Compton Blue. At least I did manage NOT to back King Roonah, oh joy of joys ! Edited 13 May, 2010 by chrisobee Added more to the tale of woe/fancied a rant :)
chrisobee Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 The curse has been broken, after a couple of seconds Kojac (who with a better ride would have won) and Graylyn Ruby, I at last have a winner with Compton Blue. Frankie Ah no, see above Frankie, I'm cursing you Chris
notnowcato Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 The Derby winner will be Bullet Train, following Workforce's babyish performance in the Dante this well suited colt should be the Prince's first choice. Giddy up!!

frankie Posted 13 May, 2010 Posted 13 May, 2010 Not a bad day, a couple of non runners in Extraterrestial and Mark to Market, Cape Blanco ran very well and looks a decent type, and even Super Frank ran a nice race and came 4th (although it didnt get me anything) On to this evening. chrisobee Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 York Day 2, Groundhog Day. I could almost copy my post for Wednesday and just amend a few names and prices and that would pretty much cover it only today the die was cast in the very 1st race with Judge and Jury only failing by half a length to at least get me place money at a decent 14/1, Fol Hollow was very poor. So I sat back to enjoy the 2.10 having definitely decided not to take the even money freely available on Sariska on BF. Of course Sariska won nicely and I wondered why I ever doubted she would win and worse why I had not applied the same logic and did back Right or Wrong at Perth ( duly won at 1/5 !! - fair to say though 3 NR's and a withdrawal were not helpful ) not to mention Mujdeya at Salisbury which managed a pathetic 5th at evens. Still I had convinced myself Chabral would win the 2.40 but sure enough another Frankie Tip in Cape Blanco duly won nicely ( good tip Frankie, thanks !) On to the 3.10 and Stevo has already summed up Acrostic( though it was 4th and ran OK) and my saver in Rainbow Peak duly decided that 2nd place would rub it in nicely and do so by a head just to really put the boot in. So of course I swerved the 3.45 and rightly so though Elzaam duly won nicely in the 4.20. Still King in Waiting looked another solid bet in the 4.55 and indeed did at least give me some ew money by finishing 3rd at 15/2. At this point and having backed Baylini ew at a nice 20/1 at Newmarket in the 7.25 ( returned 11/1) I decided to otherwise swerve the evening card. So at around 7.00pm I visited this site and blow me if Frankie hadn't tipped the same horse. However, rather than inspire me it led me to figure it would certainly not win and would probably finish 4th, it duly obliged ! Still there is always tomorrow though it is already here and given how late it is now staying in bed all day is not looking a bad option at all.

chrisobee Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 York 2.40 Manifest: With my over night fancy Kite Wood now a N/R ( clearly another horse that realised that Frankie had backed it and the expectations were too great !) my attention turns to the Henry Cecil trained Manifest. Not the strongest of fancies with at least 4 of the remaining 5 runners having solid claims but over a trip which will suit and some nice runs to date especially when 2nd to Harbinger in a Group 3 contest on seasonal debut Manifest makes most appeal at around 2/1. Newbury 2.55 Principal Role @ 4/1 : Not a race to get overly involved with, very open contest with 4 vying for favouritism at around 7/2-4/1. No doubt Principal Role( another Cecil trained horse) has looked a tricky customer at times but equally looks open to lots of improvement. Newmarket 4.10 Mezhah @5/2: Radio Wave heads the market at around 5/4 but I can find very little to chose between the 2 and if anything Meznah who looks on breeding to be suited by the trip and has shown plenty of promise looks to be the one to beat. Maybe a few more later if I'm still awake. Good luck, Chris
sperm_john Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 boys do yourselves a massive favour and get on betfair, pompey to win the fa cup, 17/1 ...will take some of the sting out of it if it actually happens!

Thanks John though I'm not sure anything will ease the pain if Pompey win and sod's law in any case dictates that if they do win it will be after ET and probably on pens so on the reasonable basis that 17/1 is probably to win in 90 minutes that scenario will probably play out !!
sfcjmcsfc16 Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 SENSITIVE INFO The horse today is Ziggy Lee running in the 5.20 Newmarket. Connections are pretty confident of the win. Cant say why! But believe me on this one guys! coyr!

chrisobee Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 SENSITIVE INFO The horse today is Ziggy Lee running in the 5.20 Newmarket. Connections are pretty confident of the win. Cant say why! But believe me on this one guys! coyr! Ok, been backed already but 8/1 is still a decent price. Could be another of those horses specifically aimed at winning at a decent price. Ran as though it still hadn't overcome whatever it was that kept him off the track for nearly a year when running a stinker when stepped up to 6f last time at Windsor, so has a bit to prove, but the drop in trip will suit, as will this fast ground. Still a risky bet UNLESS the connections are truly ITK !!
chrisobee Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 have no idea why, but im 5er on the nose for Ziggy Lee A few positives above might give you a clue ?

chrisobee Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 (edited) Just a few more to look at: 2.10 - York - Hanoverian Baron -@ 8/1 (Sportingbet): Hanoverian Baron has taken his form to a new level for his current yard where he has posted progressive form in three handicaps since being stepped up to ten furlongs. His breeding has always suggested that middle distance may suit and his performance on his reappearance at Epsom over 10 furlongs last month was highly creditable. he was a clear second to the highly progressive Alainmaar (winner again since), who holds Group Entries, and had the like of Indian Days ( 2nd here on Wed I think ?) and Tartan Gunna behind. The performance can be rated even better because the selection didn't seem to enjoy the track once he was asked to chase the winner. The step up to 12 furlongs here could see him progress again and the two pound rise he has incurred looks fair. The only concern is the fast ground which he encounters. His two victories last season came in ground with cut and he has disappointed on G/F ground. However he did run the subsequently top class Casual Conquest to within a head as a Juvenile on faster ground in Ireland. 4.35 Newbury - Red Courtier - ew @ 11/1 (General) : Three year old handicaps at this time of year are not always appealing due to the unknown improvement individuals can make. However Red Courtier was quite a progressive Juvenile last season and he showed he had trained on when finishing on the heels of the placed horses on his reappearance at Newmarket 12 days ago. He has the scope for physical improvement and it's highly likely he will benefit from that opening run. He stuck to his task well in the closing stages and the step up in trip today could see him progress again. The form of that Newmarket race could turn out to be strong and the only doubt is his ability to handle quicker conditions. Being by Red Ransom it shouldn't be a problem and his Dam was versatile regarding ground conditions. 4.45 - Newmarket - Ramona Chase - @ 6/1 (General) :Two seasons ago Ramona Chase was giving Conduit and Heaven Knows a race but the key to him has always been getting him to settle. He normally races like a nutter and, hence, he has only won one of his 35 outings. However, partnered by today's lady rider for the first time at Windsor earlier this month, he was much calmer. It resulted in a cracking effort to get within a length of the winner of a very decent handicap for it's class. Today's affair is weaker and is probably the easiest assignment he has ever faced. It's anyone's guess if he consents to co-operate again but, if he does, he definitely has the ability to win from his current mark at this level. 8.25 - Newcastle - Kiwi Bay NAP - @ 3/1 (General) At York in the 3.45 Diman Waters is likely to be a lot of peoples banker. Confirmed reappearance promise when running away with Haydock handicap last month. Ran a cracker from out of handicap at Chester and clearly the one to beat here off 6 lb lower mark. However, 6/4 might be short enough. Edited 14 May, 2010 by chrisobee Add some (pointless) analysis :)
chrisobee Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 looks like you just copy and pasted the ladbrokes info............. Don't look at the Ladbrokes site, more likely Timeform to try to give me some idea about a horse/race I hadn't even looked at. Then again maybe Ladbrokes use Timeform as well :smt102
notnowcato Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Ok, ok... whose hijacked ChrisO's account??? Thought I was having a good day but you're on fire mate!
saint_stevo Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 One to watch for tomorrow- Banana Republic - 15 May 2010 13:25 - Newbury

sfcjmcsfc16 Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Got another inside info on another, will win! So happy days! Tomorrow. As long as it runs, will win. Backed up with my inside info from trainer on ziggy
frankie Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Had some money on Ziggy Lee so thanks for the tip, although I was thinking of doing it anyway as Williams seems to have turned the corner form wise and the horse has some decent past form. On to this evening and it has to be better than the day. Newcastle 8.25 Dubai Dynamo was very eyecatching two runs back, but played up in his last race...he likes good to firm ground and if settling will be difficult to beat. 8.55 I was going to go for Lucky Leigh again but am deserting him for Easterbys 'Revue Princess', she has won this the last two years at massive prices so shows he loves this course (in fact he has won here three times) last weeks run will hopefully have got her ready for a big run here. Hamilton. 6.50 Murura looks to have a fantastic chance, but in a trappy race he offers no value, so I will be going with Johnstons Glen Shiel, he improved with every run as a two year old, and there should be no doubts about his fitness, at 20's on Betfair he offers a good value bet. 7.25 Corsica is my pick here, Mark Johnston likes this race winning it the last three times, Corsica seems to be an improving sort and will hopefully burn off the challenge of Layali And Admission. 8.00 I really like Swinbanks Stanstill, he progressed very well last season, and despite not settling last time out, won very easily, he has fitness on his side and will take all of the beating here. 9.05 Highland Warrior looks to improving as he gets older, the game 11 year old won easily 1 run back and was runner up either side of that, hopefully he will blast out of the stalls, get to the front and stay there. Milton of Campsie will be interesting to note, he has run with some promise twice this year and looked in good form last year. Aintree 6.30 Heron Bay 7.05 The Jigsaw Man 7.40 Lisadell King 8.15 Papradon 8.45 Benheir Good luck guys Frankie

frankie Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Pretty satisfactory evening in all. The Jigsaw Man won at 7/2 after being well backed Corsica won at 11/2 despite drifting in the market, he held on gamely to win. Dubai Dynamo just held on to win at 4/1 A couple of nice places too, and Milton of Campsie ran well as predicted and was maybe a shade unlucky not to win. Onwards and upwards Frankie
