frankie Posted 13 April, 2010 Share Posted 13 April, 2010 Exeter 210 - Celtic Spirit 20 on Bf. Not a big fan on handicap hurdles but Spirit looks a lively outsider. Lay of the Day is Moose Moran in the 2.50 at Ponte. 6/4 in a maiden is short enough to take on, breeding of this horse suggests he will be best over further. Celtic spirit ran on very well mate, under a tender ride, definitely one to keep an eye on. Frankie

frankie Posted 14 April, 2010 Share Posted 14 April, 2010 Right lets have a little look at Newmarket 1.50 Esaar-Hills has won this 3 of the last 5 runnings and this horse ran well over course and distance last year...looks a good bet Selection:Esaar 3.00 A couple I fancy in this Don Carlos ran well last year and despite racing in Ireland Jonny Murtagh comes here for the one ride, beware though O'Briens often come on for the run. I also Fancy Doctor Zhivago who has made a good impression winning easily on the all weather last time out and must be respected. Selections: Don Carlos and Doctor Zhivago 4.10 I really like the look of Cecils' Principal Role, he did well winning last year despite starting poorly. Selection: Principal Role Good luck Frankie
frankie Posted 14 April, 2010 Share Posted 14 April, 2010 Had a few whispers today too. notnowcato Posted 14 April, 2010 Share Posted 14 April, 2010 Plenty of good racing on offer today. Newmarket: 1.50 Agree with Frankie that Esaar will take some beating but I think Count of Anjou offers some value. 3.00 Interesting to see Godolphin with early season runners and I like Ameer but again think that Jira is value at 20+ 4.10 Music Show Channon has been quite bullish on this filly. Very competitive Nell Gwyn with most of the big yards represented. I also think Blue Maiden and Distinctive offer value and I'll look to trade in running on these 2. 5.20 Deauville Post - nap. Cheltenham: 2.10 Monetary Fund not an original selection but should hose up. 2.45 Oakfield Legend shown good improvement before Uing LTO. If has recovered sufficiently is good value at around 12s for this. 3.20 Not a big fan of Handicap Hurdles but will side with King's Saticon, again a decent price but this is highly competitive. Beverley: 2.00 Royal Dignitary to win and The Craig to trade. 3.10 Fol Hollow nap! I fear the Pears two but everything looks right for the Dandy Nicholls horse. Lord of the Reins to trade. 4.55 Set Back another Nicholls horse who had a reasonable run LTO. Kempton: 2 lays for me: 8.35 Brother Cha - lay @ 2.6 9.05 Gold Rules - lay @ 3 Best of luck to all getting involved today.

frankie Posted 15 April, 2010 Share Posted 15 April, 2010 Off out today so posting early (shouldn't bother at all I hear some of you say) Fancy plenty today so be prepared to lose some cash if following these furry friends. Cheltenham 2.10 dificult little race to start but Captain Chris is meant to be Hobbs best horse, he has won impressively his last two starts and should take this before going on to bigger prizes. Watch out for Nick williams Diamond Eclipse to run a big race at a big price Selection:Captain Chris...Outsider:Diamond Eclipse 3.20 Cracking race with many in with chance, but alot of these have had long hard seasons so I am going for a fresher type in Easter Legend, she was travelling well last time before hitting a fence and if jumping well may win this. Selection: Easter Legend 4.30 I love hunter chases...I am going for a good trainer jockey combination in these types of races with Breaking Silence, he is unbeaten since joining this yard and represents good value. Selection: Breaking Silence Newmarket 3.35 I really fancy Michael Bells Mont Agel, he won his maiden confortably last year at Windsor and has a little to find with some of these, but his stable seems in good heart. At a big price he could run well. Selection:Mont Agel Got to go out so just giving selections now and no write up 4.10 Sri Putra 4.45 Dubai Media 5.20 Wigmore Hall Ripon 2.35: Earlsmedic Each Way:Frognal 3.10: Bencoolen 3.45 William Morgan Good luck guys Frankie

Hollins could offer some e/w value. Ripon - again agree with Frankie on Earlsmedic in the 2.35. I think Lucky General may get the run of the race in the Craven at Newmarket 335, not really a miler but could be allowed to dictate from the front. Good e/w value at 16.5. frankie Posted 16 April, 2010 Share Posted 16 April, 2010 Hi guys, a few I fancy today.. Newbury. Both Royal Exchange in the 1.35 and Funky Lady in the 3.50 are thought to be pretty good, with Funky Lady being top drawer (both Hannons) 2.10 Mr Irons was an expensive purchase as a yearling, he was green on his first appearance but won his second start, if he is fully wound up he may go well at a decent price. 3.15 Admission won on his debut nicely, beating a Gosden hotpot, word is that he has progressed nicely since then and will take all the beating. Ayr 1.45 Benny Be Good 2.20 Bene Lad (Nap) 3.25 Gaelic Flight 4.00 Caroles Legacy 5.10 Premier Dane and Benmadigan dutched Thirsk 3.40 Slikback Jack 4.15 Lucky Leigh 5.50 Kersivay Uttoxeter 7.10 Hurricane Milly Cheltenham 7.50 Just Rob Good luck today all Frankie

frankie Posted 17 April, 2010 Share Posted 17 April, 2010 Good racing today, especially at Newbury, plus we have the Scottish National at Ayr... Ayr: 2.15 Kangaroo Court was taken out of a race in the week for this, he was seventh in the Arkle and this longer trip should suit. Selection:Kangaroo court 2.45 Michael Flips is a classy animal on his day, and i'm hoping today is his day, although Overturn is a real danger, he was taken out of a race yesterday and will be gambled on today I think. Selection:Michael Flips Scottish National: Going for two here but have no idea Halcon Genelardais and Dom D'orgeval Few more I like but after Channel 4 stop covering it. 3.55 Andytown 5.05 Tanks for That Newbury 2.00 Akmal 2.35 Huzzah and Credit Swap 3.05 Deirdre 3.40 Arcano 4.50 Fair Trade 5.20 Forte De Marmi Good luck all Frankie

frankie Posted 18 April, 2010 Share Posted 18 April, 2010 Right a few fancies today but the drying ground may mean some strange results, so keep stakes small. Ascot: 3.45 Soulard looks to be the one to beat here, but for a bit of value and form on firm ground I like Fit to Drive, his jumping has looked suspect recently but if back to anything like his best he will have a chance at a good price. Selection: Fit to Drive 4.55 Busker Royal had been in good form prior to his last run, but he has had an absence of 113 days so something must have been amiss. If he jumps ok, as he is known to put in the odd mistake and he is sound he will run well. 5.30 I like these hunter chases and really fancied Loita Hills but his odds are very skinny, so instead I go for a little value in top weight Bob Hall, he rattled up a hattrick before pulling up in the Cheltenham foxhunter and this is much easier. I will also have a few quid on Kniaz, who was a useful horse in Ireland in his younger years, and if keeping any of that ability he may run well at a very big price. Wincanton Not much quality on view here, but you could do worse than a small treble on Pipes three horses 2.45 Painter Man 3.20 Sir Bathwick 5.05 Nono Le Sage ...if this horse doesnt handle the rise in wieghts or drying ground I really fancy Webbers' Erdeli, who was given a very quiet ride last time out 3.55 Baldings stable is in great form and he has a handful of jumpers, i'm hoping Kervriou continues his good form, especially as he likes this firm ground 4.30 Tzora looks a good bet in this, he was beaten favourite last time out over a furlong further, this shorter trip and the drying ground, plus the useful Ryhs Flint on board all make for positives. One to watch out for is Pegasus Lad, who was useful on the flat for Johnston and is now jumping, although I know nothing about the trainer, he may be worth a little each way interest. Stratford 3.30 William butler was in fine form before a pedal bone injury, he hasnt looked the same since, but he likes this course and hopefully he will have retained some of his ability, I hope to see a big run from him. 5.15 Rebel Dancer ran a very eyecatching race last time out running well under a tender ride to finish fourth, he now has a tonguestrap on and with a more aggressive ride will take all the beating Selection:Rebel Dancer (Nap) I also love Lisadell King and his ancient jockey but at the price today its just a watching brief for me.. Good luck all Frankie
frankie Posted 18 April, 2010 Share Posted 18 April, 2010 Not a bad day again, with a couple of winners, a nice place or two and a couple of others pointed out as possible winners. 3.45 Ascot..highlighted Soulard as the danger and he was winning easily...Fit to Drive was staying on at the end of the race and may need further next year 4.55 Busker Royal was unlucky, he was in touch when falling 5.30 Good old hunter chases...Bob Hall won at a nice 5/2 winning by 12 lengths Wincanton Pipe treble went wayward despite the first winning at a good price. 3.55 Kervriou ran well in second but had no chance with the winner 4.30 Tzora won at 2/1 battling well, the shorter trip and ground obviously suiting him, plus the jockey rode a nice race. Winner -2/1 Stratford was disappointing, although Rebel Dancer may have won if he hadnt made a mistake 3 out, and still finished third (one to keep an eye on) and good old Lisadell King won again as I highlighted.. Good stuff, back to work tomorrow so write ups will be few and far between, if anyones interested though I will write them up the night before. Cheers all Frankie
frankie Posted 18 April, 2010 Share Posted 18 April, 2010 Right, lots of racing today but not much time to study as back to work so short and sweet selections and reasons. Pontefract 3.10-Marine Boy-I can remember this trouncing its rivals on its debut and thinking it would be a superstar, that really hasnt happened, but he finished his 3 year old career with a good second and may improve as a four year old. Trainer in good form too. Hexham 4-30-Kind Heart...formerly useful on the flat for Mark Prescott, Donald McCain has proved to be a useful trainer and this could be a good little horse. A big run expected. 5.05 - Elizadoalot will take all the beating here after winning 3 point to points recently, one to watch for and may go massive in running is areyoucoddinmee, who always drops well out the back before steaming towards the end, could be good to back in running if that your thing. Plumpton Awful meeting, only one I mildly fancy and watch to see if its backed is Littleton Aldor in the 4.20, she has a light weight and comes from a shrewd yard. Kempton 6.25 - Quipe Me Posted, I have watched this horse closely this season and it has been ridden with quite some restraint, the champion jock is on board after it ran eyecatchingly on its handicap debut last time out, I am sure the stable will want to get a win for this somewhere and today could be the day, watch the market for any moves. Windsor. Nice little card but no real fancies, although Hannons in the 5.40 Sir Rocky is meant to be useful and Cecils Titbit is bred to win at this trip and first time out could be worth a few quid (we all like a Titbit eh) Good luck and happy punting Frankie

frankie Posted 19 April, 2010 Share Posted 19 April, 2010 Tuesdays Tips. Brighton. Funny little course but a couple of fancies 5.40 Celestial Girl - I really fancy this horse on it's handicap debut, he has been running over much longer trips and now has a nice mark in this handicap, Hughie Morrison knows the time of day and this could be a nice horse, I will also be having a few quid on the other well handicapped horse, Evans' Firehawk, who could impress. Selection:Celestial Girl Each Way: Firehawk Depending on the price I may also do Transvestite in the 6.40, he loves this course and is now back over a better distance after not staying 2 miles last time, anything over 5/2 and I will bet him. Folkestone 3.30 Love You Louis got into all sorts of trouble in its last run and did well to finish 3rd, hopefully he will not have such a problem today and Mr Dettori can boot him home. Kempton 4.25-Red Gulch looks a progressive type and has the scope to do well, he ran well on his debut here, and showed signs of greenness despite winning nicely last time, having Fallon on board can only help. Selection : Red Gulch 5.35 - Which Doctor-I have followed this horse the last couple of seasons and will not desert him tomorrow, he has good form over this distance and his trainer has had a few winners, I also love the song :-) Selection: Which Doctor Towcester Nothing really stands out here, I may have a little double on Vaughans 2 in the first two races, Chapel Flower and Zafar...plus I quite like the chances of Divine Intavention in the Hunter chase at 7.55 Wolverhampton 3.45 - Uncle Keef can continue Tregonings good form..will be amazed if this one doesnt win. chrisobee Posted 20 April, 2010 Share Posted 20 April, 2010 5.20 - Wolverhampton - Shandelight - Available at 8/1 (William Hill) A competitive Apprentice handicap and one in which Shandelight could return to form. This is only her third start for her current Trainer and those three runs have come after a 14 month break from the track. She went down less than a length to Ghufa in a Seller in the first of those and meets that rival on the same terms today. She followed that with a better effort when running out a winner of a C/D handicap from a mark of 50 in February. Up seven pounds she disappointed over 14 furlongs here two weeks later but could be seen in a better light dropped back in trip after a break here. She has a competent jockey on board and her current handler appears to have improved her enough to make a mark of 56 manageable. 6.55 - Towcester - Mauritino - Available at 3/1 (General) A winner of 6 of his 16 starts on the flat in Germany, Mauritino has failed to make the frame in three Maiden/Novice hurdle races on these shores. However he has taken on some fair opposition and the ground has been soft/heavy on each occasion. All his form on the level came in good ground so the quicker conditions today could see him return an improved performance. His initial mark for this handicap debut requires a step forward but his powerful, in form yard are adept at placing their horses for their first outing in handicap company. The selection shoulders top weight but this isn't a strong race and the yard's 24% strike rate (£55 l.s.p) is a testament to the fact they don't often leave here empty handed. Mauritino is their only representative at the races today. 7.10 - Brighton - Golden Rock - Available at 7/1 (Sportingbet) Disappointed in three handicaps to date but two of those three races came in soft/heavy ground and he wasn't totally disgraced in a stronger race in the other. His fitness has to be taken on trust but the yard have hit for in the past week or so. Golden Rock is down to a mark of 70 and, judged on the balance of his maiden form, that looks reasonable. That Maiden form came on fast ground so a return to quicker condition today could suit and this looks his easiest handicap assignment so far. The yard send just the one to a track where they have a 43% strike rate (6 from 14) in recent seasons, although the selection is the first older horses they have run here in that time. Punchestown A few i fancy at punchestown 4.20 Sweeps Hill 6.05 Twist Magic 6.40 Lenabane Good luck and up the Saints for tonight Frankie I'll probably put the mockers on it Frankie but I like Red Gulch, been well backed but anything like 2/1 is a decent price for a horse that looks very progressive. Ran green last time out but still won. Good luck ! Chris PS Wrote that without looking at your comments so we're on the same page at least!
