SuperMikey Posted 9 April, 2010 Share Posted 9 April, 2010 Just put 66p on Damietta and Prince of Vasa, as per your advice Frankie. Nothing much at stake, but just under £6 returns potentially, which would be nice to put on the Grand National at the weekend. Only ever won one bet before today, but Frankie's advice has helped me today, so lets hope that lightning strikes twice!

chrisobee Posted 9 April, 2010 Share Posted 9 April, 2010 A few non Aintree fancies: Muss 2.50 Intersky Charm- a small speculative ew bet at 22/1 (VC) Looks well in at the weights. Kemp 3.00 Shoegazer- ran well enough last time out to suggest a race of this type is within his grasp, we'll see! Current best price 9/4 ( Totesport) Kemp 4.10 Preuty Boy - Stripe Me Blue been well backed so another to keep an eye on ! Wolverhampton 6.45 Five Star Junior at 8/1 ( bet 365 and VC) Wolverhampton 8.15 Buona Sarah- Tight little race but Buona Star finished strongly lto and may be the answer to the puzzle. Not overly mad about the price TBH, 7/4 best available. Well 2 winners though not great prices, Shoegazer 15/8, Buona Sarah 2/1. Still better than usual for me ! frankie Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 Well done yesterday Chrisobee I have a few away from Aintree today but don't have time to do a write up...just take my word for it :-) Lingfield looks a great little card today and I have a few fancies from there: 2.10 Pegasus Again 2.45 Jedi 3.15 Zaahy 5.10 Billberry 5.45 The Grey One 6.15 Lytham Chepstow. 4.05 Saint Espiegle Shown little form until last time when finishing like a train to come third, he was some way back and this extra furlong may help (in running he may be a huge price). If improving again he will run well at a big price. Wolverhampton 5.30 Almaty Express-showed some good form at last when third last time, his chances of winning depend on wether the stable want him to or not, look for him being backed. 8.00 Bernix..will be a big price, and has shown little form but the booking of Fallon as jockey is interesting...one to keep an eye on Good luck and have a great day all Frankie
chrisobee Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 Thanks Frankie, I have a few fancies at Lingfield too as well as a few others. Chepstow 2.30 Oscar Bay ew : Trained by Jimmy Frost and ridden by his son Hadden this eight year old is a previous course and distance winner with a big run expected Today. Lingfield 2.45 King Olav ew - Showed his quality in the ultra competitive Roseberry where he did best of those left behind by Dansili Dancer. Has done nothing but improve this term and although well suited by Kempyon has won at Lingfield and stands a very good chance of at least making the frame. Lingfield 5.10 Unlimited/ War and Peace-ew : Unlimited Pulled hard when last seen here but has got on track since, winning at Wolverhampton next time out and 2nd at Kempton on his last outing in a race not run to suit. Needs a decent gallop and with several front runners in the field can go close. Nicely drawn and possibly under rated. War and Peace has decent ew claims at around 12/1. Lingfield 5.45 Carr Hall : 2nd at Kempton LTO in a race not run to suit. Should get a fair amount of pace in this race, taken to go one better this time out. Wolverhampton: 5.30 Almaty Express: Now on a low mark and historically does well between Jan and May. Signs latest of coming back to form ( 4th has won since) , does most of his winning at Wolverhampton over 5f particularly when able to bag the rail. So Almaty Express for me too! 9.00 Wolverhampton Danderek : Danderek was impressive here last time, remains open to further improvement and comes from a stable who can do little wrong at present. He can prove too strong for Kings Icon and Bere Davis. Also : 4.05 Chepstow The Rustlin Rhino ew at around 8/1. Good luck all wherever you are posting your tips ! Well done Frankie, Bernix did win at 16/1 ! Saint Espegiegle ran a good race to finish 3rd at 18/1. A good day all round, almost unique on here !! Oscar Bay won at 10/1 and Danderek at 7/4. War and Peace also ran well to finish 2nd backed in to 6/1 so my 12/1 was not a bad result. Lets keep the winners coming, we could set up our own tipping service or perhaps make this thread "pay per view" Cheers, Chris

Bizarre I have a few fancies today, can't be arsed to put reasons will just give selections Kelso: 2.20 - Ontrack 2.50 - Bobs Dream 4.50 - Benbeoch Market Rasen 3.30 - Benmore Boy 5.00 - The Strawberry One Southwell 2.10 Heezagrey 3.10 - Benton's Choice 3.40 - Mr Moonshine Keep the stakes low today guys, not anything that really sticks out as a top bet. chrisobee Posted 11 April, 2010 Share Posted 11 April, 2010 Indeed, a very poor day's racing and unbelievable that there is no flat racing :smt102 Just a few of interest and if Kip needs to lose even more money he can try these ! Kelso 2.20 Winter Alchemy ew @ 8/1. Half-brother to bumper/2m hurdle winner Johnny Mullen. Encouraging debut in bumper here last month and should have learnt plenty from that. Very competitive race though with several you could make a case for, Bishops Heir the likely favourite should run well. Kelso 3.20 Soldiers Tree ew @ 16/1 with WH, 12/1 generally. Irish point winner in 2009 and signs of ability in 3m novice hurdle at Newcastle in January, travelling comfortably and not given hard time. Likely to do better. Just checked Hugh Taylor and this is one of his for today so that is a positive. As with Frankie small stakes only. Good luck as always!
chrisobee Posted 11 April, 2010 Share Posted 11 April, 2010 (edited) Just as a point of interest I have noticed that Hugh Taylor's tips invariably shorten in price, possibly people following him ? Both Winter Alchemy and his other tip today Battle Stations in the 4.40 at Southwell have been backed. On that basis if you don't fancy his tips it could improve the market for something that catches your eye. In this instance Battle Stations looks well handicapped and should go well at around 5/1-11/2. Actually the more I look at this race the more Battle Stations appeals, might sneak a few quid on it at 6/1 with VC. Edited 11 April, 2010 by chrisobee Update. frankie Posted 11 April, 2010 Share Posted 11 April, 2010 Not too bad a day with Bob's Dream winning at 11/4 and The Strawberry One at 7/2... One to really keep an eye on is Mr Moonshine, his jockey never got him into the race yet he finished eye catchingly to get 2nd at 8/1, expect him to be ridden much nearer the pace next time...definitely one for the notebook Frankie
notnowcato Posted 12 April, 2010 Share Posted 12 April, 2010 Not a great deal leaps off the page today. Amateur day at Sedgefield, one decent bet here for me in the 3.40 - Dr Valentine (4.8 Betfair). Some nice looking handicaps on the flat, not getting involved but do like the look of Katehari (4.6 on Betfair) in the last at Windsor. Some good racing to be had midweek so will save the coppers until then. Good luck!
frankie Posted 12 April, 2010 Share Posted 12 April, 2010 A few to look at today.. Starting at Sedgefield I see Nina Carberry is there, the horses she is riding seem to be very short prices, meaning other horses are better value, she may well win a race but there is value to be had me thinks: 2.10 Bringewood Belle- Not bad form and needs this to get a handicap mark which is interesting 2.40-Impact Zone - Good Irish point to point form and very interesting here especially if theres money for it. 3.40 Agreeing with Notnowcato here-Dr Valentine, wide margin winner last time over course and distance. 4.40 Robin De Sherwood - Belem Ranger was unlucky at Aintree last week, but i'm looking to Robin De Sherwood to run another sound race and hopefully upset the fav. Windsor 2.20 Zebedee must be well thought of as he has attracted some good money, but I will be looking to the experience of Scarlet Rocks to win with a little each way on Evans other runner Joyously. 2.50 Captain Cool - He has had plenty of racing without yet breaking his maiden tag, hopefully today will be the day 3.20 Cheam Forever - A big price for this one, he won handicaps at this trip last summer and hopefully will carry on his good form here. 4.20 - Zowington - I follow Williams horses closely, this looks to have little chance but if there is money for it you can be sure it will run well, one to watch. Folkestone 4.00 Aquarias Star - He ran in two very good maidens last year, hopefully he will be fully wound up and not just looking to get a good handicap mark. 5.00 Uncle Keef - Tregoning is in great form and this horse showed some ability despite being green in its three starts last year. I has been gelded since and now in a handicap will hopefully show some improved form. Good luck all Frankie
chrisobee Posted 12 April, 2010 Share Posted 12 April, 2010 Sedgefield 2.40 Impact Zone- I'm with you Frankie, has been well supported already and my view was/is Impact Zone has shaped better than result 2 starts for new yard, set plenty to do when fourth at Huntingdon on chasing debut last time. Interesting, particularly if market vibes positive- they are ! Windsor 3.20 Ellemujie ew Found more for pressure than usual when winning over 8f at Sandown in June. Struggled a bit afterwards but looks attractively weighted on return to action. Quicker ground preferred but 14/1 looks a decent price. Folkesone 3.30 Vita Volterra- Has a good record in this company and looks the one to beat. Windsor 3.50 The Jobber ew Trained by Michael Blanshard and ridden by Tom Queally this nine year old was fourth last time out at Kempton, strong traveller who held his form for the most part last season. Should come on for recent return to action and well drawn, so couldnt rule out off this mark.Onceaponatime is another that looks leniently treated. Sedgfield 4.10 Nadover- is temperamental but was capable of useful form for previous connections last term and probably deserves another chance, this weaker than the race he disappointed in on his hunter bow. Folkestone 4.30 On Khee Gradually got the hang of things in maidens up to 1m last autumn. Type to make her mark in handicaps and stiffer stamina test ought to be right up her street. Good luck all. chrisobee Posted 12 April, 2010 Share Posted 12 April, 2010 Windsor 4.20 Ginobli ew - at odds of around 9/1. Martin Dwyer rides this four year old gelding for trainer Andrew Reid who was second last time out and is off a decent handicap mark for this five furlong dash - a distance he has won at previously. frankie Posted 12 April, 2010 Share Posted 12 April, 2010 A few to look at today.. 2.10 Bringewood Belle- Not bad form and needs this to get a handicap mark which is interesting...Non Runner no harm done 2.40-Impact Zone - Good Irish point to point form and very interesting here especially if theres money for it...money for this but ran dissappointingly..shame 3.40 Agreeing with Notnowcato here-Dr Valentine, wide margin winner last time over course and distance...Another non runner no harm done 4.40 Robin De Sherwood - Belem Ranger was unlucky at Aintree last week, but i'm looking to Robin De Sherwood to run another sound race and hopefully upset the fav...Won at 11/2 thank god only winner of a tough day Windsor 2.20 Zebedee must be well thought of as he has attracted some good money, but I will be looking to the experience of Scarlet Rocks to win with a little each way on Evans other runner Joyously...Scarlet Rocks second again with Zebedee first 2.50 Captain Cool - He has had plenty of racing without yet breaking his maiden tag, hopefully today will be the day....Ran well again but still a maiden and finished second 3.20 Cheam Forever - A big price for this one, he won handicaps at this trip last summer and hopefully will carry on his good form here...Rubbish 4.20 - Zowington - I follow Williams horses closely, this looks to have little chance but if there is money for it you can be sure it will run well, one to watch...Even worse finished last Folkestone 4.00 Aquarias Star - He ran in two very good maidens last year, hopefully he will be fully wound up and not just looking to get a good handicap mark....looked to be getting a handicap mark, watch him next time out 5.00 Uncle Keef - Tregoning is in great form and this horse showed some ability despite being green in its three starts last year. I has been gelded since and now in a handicap will hopefully show some improved form....after having a 50/1 winner at Windsor I thought this might be a cross the card double..no such luck So 1 winner, a couple of seconds and some non runners...not brilliant but no massive damage done either. chrisobee Posted 12 April, 2010 Share Posted 12 April, 2010 Just caught up with replays now, boy Robin De Sherwood showed a great attitude Frankie to produce a nice winner for you. Oh Khee was 6/1 this morning when I backed it so 5/2 was very short. Ginobli ( which I forgot to post initially) ran well to finish 2nd at 7/1. Otherwise nothing to write home about though Ellumujie and The Jobber at least gave me a run for my money, Nadover deserves no more chances after finishing a very remote 3rd! frankie Posted 13 April, 2010 Share Posted 13 April, 2010 Hi all.. some really interesting racing today, and a fair few horses that interest me so could cost/make you a few quid if you follow me: Exeter: 2.10 Uffa Fox...Was once useful and the stable have very few runners, but I have a feeling this will run well today 3.10 I tipped Ibberton a couple of days ago, and he is fancied to win this as he did last year..but he is unreliable at the moment, so the one I am going for is Bernard (also my brothers name) he has good course form, winning here twice and if he is over his injury he will hopefully run well. 3.40 Silverburn was very talented when with Paul Nicholls and looked to have regained some of that form before falling two runs back...I will give him one more chance today at what should be a nice price. 4.40 Was interested in Bishy Barnaby but he is now a non runner, Gentle George should take all the beating, but Ask again has been very prolific in point to point races and has been placed in hunters before, if the fav should happen to run below par he may capatalise. Note : Many of these selections at Exter I have followed over a cliff, so my heart may be ruling my head. Yarmouth: I thought Top Tigress would be fav for this, so at 7.4 on betfair he is a must bet, he was hampered at wolverhampton on his first start and would almost have certainly won. Stable form is a worry, but at this price he is a must bet. 4.00 Strange race as the main fancies have never run on turf..I am going for an unexposed type in The Strig, he won his maiden well and is improving with every run, he needs to improve again and hopefully he will. I have also had a word for Calzaghe in the 5.00...not my tip though mind you Pontefract: Looks hard at Ponte today, theres a couple I fancy at nice prices plus a couple that I have had tips for my selections are: 3.50:Go Amwell 4.20:Ouster win Solent (E/W) 5.50 Night Cruise O.K I have had tips for Kiwi Bay in the 3.20 and Cornus in the 5.20 both have been backed and look useful I really fancied Moose Moran in the 2.50, but Johnstons is now a non runner and he is a very short price so best left alone, especially as Zuider Zee looks useful. Good luck all and win loads Frankie

notnowcato Posted 13 April, 2010 Share Posted 13 April, 2010 Exeter 210 - Celtic Spirit 20 on Bf. Not a big fan on handicap hurdles but Spirit looks a lively outsider. Lay of the Day is Moose Moran in the 2.50 at Ponte. 6/4 in a maiden is short enough to take on, breeding of this horse suggests he will be best over further. frankie Posted 13 April, 2010 Share Posted 13 April, 2010 Hi all.. some really interesting racing today, and a fair few horses that interest me so could cost/make you a few quid if you follow me: Exeter: 2.10 Uffa Fox...Was once useful and the stable have very few runners, but I have a feeling this will run well today 3.10 I tipped Ibberton a couple of days ago, and he is fancied to win this as he did last year..but he is unreliable at the moment, so the one I am going for is Bernard (also my brothers name) he has good course form, winning here twice and if he is over his injury he will hopefully run well. Good luck all and win loads Frankie Bloody crap fellas...sorry, just hope nobody lost any money on the sh1t Frankie

frankie Posted 13 April, 2010 Share Posted 13 April, 2010 Eh mate, not too soon..had a winner 4.40 Was interested in Bishy Barnaby but he is now a non runner, Gentle George should take all the beating, but Ask again (4/1)has been very prolific in point to point races and has been placed in hunters before, if the fav should happen to run below par he may capatalise. Not a massive price I know but keeps up my record of picking at least one winner a day :-) Frankie
