chrisobee Posted 27 March, 2010 Share Posted 27 March, 2010 Could do with a few wins for some beer money for tomorrow! Well albeit a short price at around 5/6 I fully expect Tiddliwinks to do the business, he has won four of his last five races including twice over course and distance in January. chrisobee Posted 27 March, 2010 Share Posted 27 March, 2010 will probably be part of a treble me thinks Along with Alsadaa and Kiwi Bay- DOUBLE, I assume! Alsaada currently around 7/2, Kiwi Bay 10/1 ( a trappy race methinks) so even £1 returns around £90 on the treble.
saintkiptanui Posted 27 March, 2010 Share Posted 27 March, 2010 Huzzah in the Lincoln, I know I shouldn't but couldn't resist, got 11/1.
chrisobee Posted 27 March, 2010 Share Posted 27 March, 2010 Penitent at 7/2 looks well handicapped in The Lincoln though I like Prime Exhibet ( 14/1) who I believe has now been confirmed as a runner. Sorry Kip but I did suggest Penitent AND Prime Exhibet yesterday !

chrisobee Posted 27 March, 2010 Share Posted 27 March, 2010 why didnt Alsadaa run?! That I know not I'm afraid though given Kiwi Bay was 5th didn't that do for your double ( and treble) anyway?

notnowcato Posted 28 March, 2010 Share Posted 28 March, 2010 Nice one Chris O'. Good way to start the flat season. I'll be leaving the turf flat until the Guineas meeting but I will watch out for well backed Barry Hills runners - his early season stats have been consistantly good in recent years. Anyone know of other trainers that can get their runners ready early?

Anyone know of other trainers that can get their runners ready early? Thanks ! Yes, I always associate Barry Hills with good early season results and indeed at this point in the season the market can often speak volumes. However, in the long run these were last seasons leading flat racing trainers. Mark Johnston's runners tend to run well fresh. 1 Saeed Suroor 98 - 408 24.0 2 Sir Michael Stoute 88 - 377 23.3 3 Sir Mark Prescott 61 - 270 22.6 4 W J Haggas 63 - 301 20.9 5 M A Jarvis 67 - 329 20.4 6 H R A Cecil 56 - 282 19.9 7 J Noseda 53 - 291 18.2 8 M Johnston 194 - 1092 17.8 9 P W Chapple-Hyam 34 - 202 16.8 10 J H M Gosden 70 - 425 16.

chrisobee Posted 30 March, 2010 Share Posted 30 March, 2010 I'm gonna start a tipping service and just copy his, I'll charge £1000 a year to be a member. Do you want to join?? As if anyone needs telling most tipsters are a waste of money this is a reasonably accurate summary of bets from many of the most well known/expensive tipping services around since 2000. A 34% strike rate is none too bad, however what is clear from that stat is that many of the winning tips have been very short prices ! I do believe that even us lot are better than these bunch of shysters. It does not even include what I consider the worse services which are those which ask you to place usually around £20 on their behalf for any tip they give you. In other words if you are a big enough mug you take all the risk, it should be banned IMO as people are stupid/desperate enough to think they are on to a good thing when they receive an email telling them that the tips "are from very good sources". Rather like out of the horse's mouth ! TOTALS Bets 239724 Wins 82236 Loses 157488 Win percentage 34% Profit to advised stake -£16582.60 Level stakes profit - £14270.56 Profit to £10 stake -£143,504.87 !! notnowcato Posted 30 March, 2010 Share Posted 30 March, 2010 (edited) I use a service that offers what I consider to be good speed ratings. From those ratings I formulate betting strategies. For the first two months this year I have an overall ROI of 19.2%, this system is very much in it's infancy. I use this system purely in search for profit. I get involved in form etc at the big meetings, where speed ratings can become a little unreliable in such competitive racing. chrisobee Posted 30 March, 2010 Share Posted 30 March, 2010 That's as good a way as any that I know to make selections. chrisobee Posted 30 March, 2010 Share Posted 30 March, 2010 Hmm, conditions seem dire at Fontwell, 3 Nr's in the 2.30 leave just 2 runners and a 149% over round. What a rip off !
