chrisobee Posted 23 March, 2010 Share Posted 23 March, 2010 Just heard an online "tipster" sent this tip out to his "pay as you win" clients who are expected on place £20 on his behalf : Exeter 2.40 Smoothly Does It @ around 5/4 What a shabby way to make a living, I'm sure there are more than enough mugs to make it quite a nice earner. Yesterday it was the highly original Srda that was "tipped up". winning easily as expected at Evens. So even if only 10 people were stupid enough to put £20 on plus whatever they wanted that's £200 in his pocket for tipping a horse any fool knew was likely to win( I even tipped it which proves the point methinks!). Rant over !
bungle Posted 23 March, 2010 Author Share Posted 23 March, 2010 Quite rightly so. Well, Reland was just terrible and pulled up really early. Silver Dollars seemed to get a bump half way round, then had an awful jump 5/6 out and was never in it. Oh well.

bungle Posted 25 March, 2010 Author Share Posted 25 March, 2010 (edited) Balderdash! Accidently put Yankee Holiday in both my doubles and, of course, it was awful. saintkiptanui Posted 25 March, 2010 Share Posted 25 March, 2010 Did a 50p super yankee today, went for favourites and had 7/4, 11/4 and 2/1 winners, changed my mind with the other two, they both won at 4/1 and 11/4 so I will pick up about £35 rather than 5/600 notes, p*ss stains alive. As I wasn't on here over Cheltenham I shall let you know how it went, it went terrible. Had the first two winners 12/1 and 6/1 next race 2nd in a photo so nearly 3 winners in my yankee and lots of money. After day one it was horrific. notnowcato Posted 25 March, 2010 Share Posted 25 March, 2010 Viva Vettori to place in the Lincoln on Saturday, should get around 4/1 on Betfair. Lots of fancies tomorrow, the pick being Turf Time in the last at Wolves. One for the Aintree notebook is Noble Alan, superb round of jumping by this novice chaser. He beat nothing today but was the best round of jumping by a novice I've seen all season.

chrisobee Posted 25 March, 2010 Share Posted 25 March, 2010 (edited) Not for the 1st time the evening meeting at Kempton did provide some relief. Carioca and Clairvoyance both won as they pleased, at 11/4 and 9/4 both were definitely over priced. Goolagong went off at a ridiculous 8/11 in the 6.50 and regardless of the result Clairvoyance was a great bet. Just watched the later replays. Cold Turkey won @ 2/1 and Drizzi @ 4/1, both with some comfort. Think I should stick to AW races ! That said Viking Blond did also win at 11/4 so 5 from 11 is an amazing return by my standards !! chrisobee Posted 25 March, 2010 Share Posted 25 March, 2010 Nothing has been given a worse ride than: Menorah at Ascot in his last race before the Festival Dunguib at the Festival!!!! Of course the ride given to Dunguib was dreadful, however what I found worse was the stable blaming an inexperienced jockey who should never have been given the ride in the 1st place ! notnowcato Posted 26 March, 2010 Share Posted 26 March, 2010 Nothing has been given a worse ride than: Menorah at Ascot in his last race before the Festival Dunguib at the Festival!!!! I can forgive the Menorah ride even thoough it was hardly vintage Johno, shocking going and a really muddling race with no pace - everything against what Menorah needs. Add to that the fact that Johno had just been taken a right kicking the race before. To me O'Connell looked like he'd been give clear instructions to keep Dunguib out wide, the only thing he maybe criticised for is not progressing the horse through the race. chrisobee Posted 26 March, 2010 Share Posted 26 March, 2010 Bigger lottery than the national. Not quite but apart from the £1 ew I have at 14's on Prime Exhibet that's it for me. Better than wasting £2 on the lottery which I don't ever do, at least I stand some kind of chance and if by some miracle I win I actually get my stake back !
