Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 You heard it here first folks. The Roses have reformed and will tour this year. Can't give you all the details at the moment as it's all under wraps but watch this space. I'll give as much info as I can without getting in deep sh1t.
Baj Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 surprises me considering squire was being an utter **** with his views towards a reunion, tho maybe watching led zep reunion changed his mind.
Durleyfos Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 Wooooooooooooooooooooo-f*cking-hoooooooooooooooooooo

Ponty Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 FFS, next you'll be telling me that The Smiths are giving it another crack.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 17 March, 2009 Author Posted 17 March, 2009 No, I won't be telling you that the Smiths are reforming because they are not. However, The Stone Roses are! The stumbling block was Ian Brown. Mani, Reni and Squire have been up for it for some time, but Ian Brown wasn't interested. When you see the amonunt of money that they are going to be paid you can see why Brown has changed his mind. The Roses never made a penny from their past work so this is an ideal opportunity for them to address that.
Ponty Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 I wasn't disputing your info, I was merely expressing my disgust.
pilsburydoughboy Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 Stop the world i want to get on.**** me roll on the New Madchester Summer.
swannymere Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 I've spoken to a member of The Band and he says it's ********, HTH;)
Deppo Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 I've spoken to a member of The Band and he says it's ********, HTH;) What would Robbie Robertson know?
jeff leopard Posted 18 March, 2009 Posted 18 March, 2009 I loved the first Stone Roses album when it came out but the thought of seeing them reform for the $$$ does nothing for me. I'm much more excited about the prospect of seeing Spiritualized playing the whole of 'ladies and gentlemen...' as a one-off, with choir, string section and special guests. Its at Royal Festival Hall on 12th October, tickets are £27 and go on sale tomorrow (thurs 19th). Now thats 90s nostelgia! http://www.atpfestival.com/Events/SpiritualizedDLBLondon/News/0903160925.php
swannymere Posted 18 March, 2009 Posted 18 March, 2009 Live at the Royal Albert Hall still makes my neck tingle when i play it:D And the Royal Festival Hall makes any half decent band sound ferkin' amazing.
Deppo Posted 18 March, 2009 Posted 18 March, 2009 If they do reform, I will be strongly requesting that they play 'Simone'.
