i think whatever we think of lowe or wotte i think we all want the same thing........safety for our club.

to poke at the people who were trying to be positive about of recent good form is a bit sad.

the wins we had gave all of us hope that we would be able to stay in this division and tbh it has given us a better chance than we had a few weeks ago.

i dont like wotte and i dont like lowe, but wotte seems to be doing a better job than JP did,we have gained some good points under him and i think he has been a bit unlucky with the results by the teams around us not going in our favour.

our situation is not ideal, far from it,but its a shame that some of you are having a dig at fellow fans for having a bit of hope.

Agree. I am seriously thinking of no longer posting and just becoming a reader. I already know of a few that have already made that decision. This forum is going down hill fast of late

Just four short weeks ago, they were falling over themselves to start threads about how wonderful Mr Wotte was...and how the rest of us should be shot for thinking differently.

'Oh we are going to be safe now if we continue like this'yes if we won all games we would be safe.

Yeah that lasted didn't it.let in three goals in 6 games, we are still not a good team, two wins in last 3 is still better than others down with us

Wotte made necessary changes when he came in, but the momentum has stopped. Why?

Has he realised what he has to work with? (Players, not Rupert before all you clappys start to cream your pants ;) )

We have the same problem now as we did when we got relegated from the Prem - not enough wins, drawing games we should win, and a squad high on quantity not quality....

Anyone left that still feels positive?

think most of the threads supporting Wotte were not saying he is the man we all wanted (can't remember anyone saying that) but the facts our he has improved our points tally and made us harder to beat (like NP last season).

Why shouldn't fans, who have been starved of good performances all season, enjoy 3 straight wins and congratulate the manager (who many had totally written off).

If you can't enjoy that whats the point?

I don't remember anyone getting carried away, but he got a better start the NP, which we all thought was great last year, and we still have more than a slim hope of staying up

What madness is this?

A forum is the sum of its constituent posters.

You can't withdraw your contributions because of the quality of contributions.

That's like the old Groucho Marx quote "I wouldn't wanna join any club that would have me as a member"...

I actually think it's improved a bit of late. Yes, you will always have your jonahs and boo-boys and, irritatingly, they are often proved right...

But such is the way of our club and life per se that if you scream wolf long enough eventually one or two come by and prove you enlightened.

If you are down about life and the SAINTS, well, ain't we all!!!! :)

Shouldn't stop people laughing, debating, arguing and agreeing about how good or bad a right back we have and whether we should be diamond or Christmas tree...

We NEED MORE of the shrubbery dwellers to emerge onto the lawn not LESS!!!

Even without the support from Rupert ,his Directors, coaching staff, the players and some of the posters on this forum, I have tried very hard to remain positive...I am not sure how long I can retain this positivity as especially some of the posters here are very trying....I will do my best.

Birmingham away, one of the toughest games in our season whatever position we hold ..

Derby at home, 7 wins 1 draw in their form prior to this game (and a bit of a bogey club for us)

QPR at home... granted their for has been poor, and we fancy some sort of result being at home, but this is one of the richest clubs in the country, and majorly underperforming, at the begining of the season id of put them down as a team i didnt really expect much from either ...a draw isnt the end of the world

just my observations

Yep i'm positive Wotte's appointment was the right decision in the circumstances and have been saying that from the get go.

As for us staying up, again as iv'e said plenty of times in these past weeks, can't be sure he'll do it but without him we'd be sunk already, rather than merely holed below the water line and pumping furiously.

So I may stand alone but i'm standing tall and come the final whistle i'll know that I made my choice and stuck with it.

How many of you can say that?

As the most sane people tried to say to Johnny and others there is a long way to go. To assume everything will be ok and that Wotte is a genius etc is way too premature. The guy up to the Brum game had done everything right in my book. After that we seem to have gone backwards. Draws are ok, they are better then losing. We still have 8 games to go and if we win majority of those we will stay up. That is our aim. Survival. In the last 3 games personally i felt we have played just as poor as we have under JP. The JP way of playing a way and not changing it if it is not working seems to have returned. Sometimes you have to be brave with decisions and i don't think we have seen that yet. But there is time, the guy needs all sides behind him. We stand a far greater chance staying up if we all push in the same direction. Wait until after the Forest game to pass judgement. The next 3 games are possibly the most important games in this clubs history. Just as Pearson had with WBA etc.

It's remarkable how Wotte had no influence over the first 25 games given him and portvliet were unveiled as a duo.

I'm not despondent. Whatever happens I shall still get my fix of football next season, unless the excitement gets too much for me.

(apparently it's defibrillator, and I had to look it up too ;))

Ha Ha great to hear mate - yes it's been another struggle of a season for the supporters but its been anything but boring.

Tis true - You do learn something new everyday - Cheers :)

Maybe to put it in perspective, Wotte has I think been in charge for 10 games: 3 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats, although correct me if I am wrong. leaving aside whether or not he had any influence whatsoever before hs appointment, and i would hope he had, thats just 13 points from 10 games: if that's the ratio we manage from here on we are down.

THAT'S the end of the world. Well, metaphorically.
