Arizona Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 As far as I'm aware, no Championship teams have a duck costume as their away strip, so it's unlikely. * Don't give McGoldrick the gun, he'd miss. * If we shot an opposing player every time they were about to score, we'd run out of ammunition.
Huffton Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 When he fell over, did the commentator say 'he's gone down like he's been shot!'?
ottery st mary Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 The plan is spread out over the next three years and the next three lower leagues. Easleigh or maybe Vospers here we come...We can always ground share..Now that is a plan.
Ricky Redstripe Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 He must have something planned because on Saturday after the boos, he still showed off his smug grin
Channon's Sideburns Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 He must have something planned because on Saturday after the boos, he still showed off his smug grin The boos probably set off a stiffy...
Amesbury Saint Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 The boos probably set off a stiffy... for who? probably several on here!
LostBoys Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 No I think he has run out of stupid ideas fortunately
St Landrew Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 RL has one plan and it is working very well. That being to quietly drive the club into admin, despite all showing of efforts to the contrary, and with all the assets intact, so that he can pick it up quite cheaply afterwards. I doubt if it's RL's plan. Bet it's GA's plan though, and RL's in on it. EDIT: Oops, forgot the trademark , just to protect myself from the courts.
St Landrew Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 Of course, if your Baldrick was able to consult his ancestor. The quite clever/non-thickie Baldrick, we may have a chance.
Frank's cousin Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 I suspect Lowe has a plan to avoid admin first and foremost - ideally remaining in the CCC, but admin avoidance is priority even if the result is relegation.

Oh I did not realise - Lowe loses the shares the bulk of which he never paid for and then he puts his own money in to buy the club back ignoring the possibility of relegation and that many season tickey holders will not renew if he is still around. I would like to see this.

Remember Mr Babbage from Family Fortunes? Naaaa--Nahhhhh! If we get relegated we will be in Admin. Do you think we can maintain the mortgage with crowds of 8-10,000???? Not a hope. Lowe has fooked up big time. Time for everyone to rub the sleepy dust out of their eyes and face facts.

I would like to see this. Who said it would be HIS money being put in? You can bet your right testicle that should we go into Admin, that Rupey and his little Mate would find enough money to buy the club. What a shame they 'couldn't' (or should that be 'wouldn't) put money in before eh? But that's not astute business sense, it's common sense.

The mortgage is doable, its teh quality of the playing staff we need to worry about - our revenue will fall to approx 8-10 mil for sure, but the mortgage is about 1.6 so just cheap players....

CHEAPER players than we have now?? Christ, I'll have a chance of playing then. Mortgages are not 'doable' if you are only bringing in £200k per home game (£20 x 10k) - our mortgage of let's say £20M....£20M x 5% (assume BBR + 4.5%) - even on interest only that would be £75k per month. Leaving £125k to cover everything else? Players on £2k per week - squad of 25? = £50k per week on wages alone.... Not counting the 'value for money' salaries of the Execs in charge of course???
eelpie Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 I suspect Lowe has a plan to avoid admin first and foremost - ideally remaining in the CCC' date=' but admin avoidance is priority even if the result is relegation.[/quote'] How can Lowe avoid admin in League 1 when we have Premiership overheads?
Frank's cousin Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 How can Lowe avoid admin in League 1 when we have Premiership overheads? By no longer having prem overheads.... which is why we play kids and try and palm off the higher earners and close sections of the ground - in effect downsizing.
Gingeletiss Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 Isn't he the PLC chairman.......should this not read 'Wilde'????

You cant do this on a monthly basis and we do have more than 1 home game every month - we will have 23 over a year - but as our payments are about 1.6 mil a year its is doable, but othertrhings will need downsizing - I am not defending it, but just trying to explain that Lowe would rather relegation than administration - IMHO. the business model of then developing kids and selling the best would be taken to its zenith as he sees it hopefully providing revenues to allow us to compete....

We have no Walcotts left. What does Rupey Baby do then??? HE IS A ONE TRICK PONY...GONE LAME
70's Mike Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 By no longer having prem overheads.... which is why we play kids and try and palm off the higher earners and close sections of the ground - in effect downsizing. frank on another thread , we are struggling to find savings from closing the corners due to the extra stewards and ob that now stand between the itchen and northam. there are no bars etc shut, same turnstiles open etc
saint1977 Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 The boos probably set off a stiffy... It used to for George Burley (allegedly....)

I'm not a Rupert fan but he's a million times preferable to Guy Askham. SFC will never move forward until Askham drops off his perch.
