70's Mike Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 Did anyone else go in it today? To me it had the feel of a closing down sale , everything must go
rocknrollman no2 Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 I didnt go to the mega store, but i was in the Dellbar when Andrew Cowen came in with two other serious looking men. They were looking around the place pointing and talking in low voices. Perhaps next season the Dellbar could be a McDonalds?

Fitzhugh Fella Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 They can't even afford to restock 30 copies of ITN which is sold out!
Huffton Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 Remember all the kits will be changing yearly now, so probably not far off an 'everything must go' type of sale.
Colinjb Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 Remember all the kits will be changing yearly now, so probably not far off an 'everything must go' type of sale. Including the home kit which is now for next year too..... oh.
Mole Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 They can't even afford to restock 30 copies of ITN which is sold out! I am reliably informed it's more to do with who the author is.
trousers Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 I am reliably informed it's more to do with who the author is. You walked into that one Duncan!
Mole Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 You walked into that one Duncan! Many a true word is said in jest and with Lowe it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. FF and Lowe aren't exactly best buddies and i'm sure Lowe would delight in a little act of revenge for FF's anti Lowe posts. There's something in the back of my mind about a hospital worker (?) that posted something negative about Lowe around 1997 and the club reported it to his employers. It's a vague recollection and the details may be wrong, but i'm sure i'm on the right track. Can anyone shed any light on this please?
Chorlton Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 Think it was someone who worked at NHS somewhere iin Winch who Emailed Lowe complaining about something. Think Lowe contacted his employers to say that he was using company email to send personal notes in work time or something. Along those lines but don't take any of it as gospel!

Yeah that sounds familiar. Did it get in the Echo? Did the said employee get sacked? Some digging is in order to clear this up methinks.
Weston Super Saint Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 They can't even afford to restock 30 copies of ITN which is sold out! Don't worry too much about it, there's plenty of unsold copies in the bookshop with the Starbucks upstairs next door to Argos
SaintRobbie Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 They can't even afford to restock 30 copies of ITN which is sold out! Cant see Lowe stocking any of your books Duncan!
jawillwill Posted 15 March, 2009 Posted 15 March, 2009 I think we are all being a bit harsh on Duncan. I know the prose is turgid and the sentence structures are convoluted, but the content is worthwhile. Don't listen to them, Duncan - it is clear you did lots of research on ITN and I, for one, thank you!

Agreed, although I do detect an element in Stanley's humour about L'eau that could well fit the psyche!
samoakley Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 I think the sale is good cheaper for us fans they are just making sure no stock is left they most have loads of stock from perious seasons stashed away and saved for the concorde sales which i think they have ditched this season for the sales of half price and bogof on the meagastore.

I know we've got sponsorship with an airline, but didn't realise we'd moved into selling planes too.
