Same old problem, we can't score and Surman misses unmissable chances to boot.

We will probably look back on this week and Surman's 2 misses as where it finally went tits up.

But we didn't lose much ground so will keep on being hopeful but nothing more.

Awful performance, but a few others did poorly today too. And we still have Blackpool and Charlton next 2 games I think, so still in our hands.

We are down. Might as well get used to it

This statement really gets on my tits. Saying we are going down is negative, but saying we have definitely been relegated already when we're 2 points from safety with a game in hand is f**king retarded.

i agree, so bored of the FACT statements, if you are so sure we are down go on ur summer holiday and come back and post in august, really not constructive

Forest get tonked 5-0 at Burnley....Barnsley lose at home to Blackpool....all set up for us to get 3 points against a QPR side with no wins in 8 and to move out of the bottom three....and still we can't come up with the goods. Getting desperate.

A bit strong, I think.

Considering our track record this season, it seems extremely likely.

I dont buy into this "mathematical certainty" argument. Unlike the other teams around us, we simlpy are not fighting to stay up.

So disappointing - another 2 points lost and with other games not going our way, it makes it even worse.

Season not over yet - more twists to come.

Hang on for the ride!

COYR!

what are people thoughts on this - personally I didn't think the other results weren't too bad today. Forest got thumped, Derby lost, Watford concede a late goal to only draw, Plymouth lost and Barnsley lost, as did Charlton although we could play until Xmas and I don't think they could catch us.

Ok so Blackpool and Norwich won but far more positives than negatives.

The only glaring negative was US NOT WINNING......AGAIN.

Two home draws in five days against very moderate opposition. The results Just show how far we have fallen this season. First corner for us came in the 82nd minute which says it all about out striking ability.

I know things dont look good but then they didnt look great since GB hit the bottle and gave up last season.

What is more worrying is the teams around us seem to be doing better than we are. I still think we can do it though.

Yep, really took the game to them, didnt we ?

A wasted opportunity to make up some ground.

Sounded like we were impotent up front, devoid of ideas, lacklustre, lacking creativity,no plan B,Welcome back Mr Poortvliet MK2.

Those players need a real kick up the ar5e.

only 1 defeat in 6 as well...lets take a positive from the game.

But the point is we are not WINNING our home games! What happened in 2005? We failed to win our home games and we went down, and this is history repeating itself; one defeat in 6 means nothing if we aren't winning the other 5 games. You can take all the 'positives' you like from another 2 points dropped at home against a below-average QPR team, but the lack of fire in our bellies and one goal (an OG at that) in three does not augur well I'm afraid.

I take it you've applied for another mortgage and are going to be putting it all on Saints to go down?

I'll have £50 with you. I bet we will go down. You bet we will stay up. Do you accept the bet?

No, but I'm not the one saying we are definitely stay up. That's my point, it's still wide open. Maybe the last 2 games were sh*t, but we were brilliant in the 3 before the Brum game. 2 points from safety, a games in hand and games against 2 of our rivals still to come.

Its still in our hands. We're 2 points from safety, with a game in hand. That Forest defeat was a massive result for us. We're more than capable of beating Blackpool and Charlton next...

By the sounds of it back to boring Saints, no pace or creativity and seldom looking like breaking teams down. Need more invention if we are going to have any chance of staying up. Whilst I am here, What has gone wrong with Lallana? Starting to think we should have sold him in January given his recent form. Also whilst I am here what has happened to Joseph Mills? He was one of the few to impress me during Jans early months..

Four wins and a draw needed imho. That's do-able, but it's gonna be close.

Yes its do-able but not on our present performances. To win these games we need to play well and we are not doing that at the moment. We have to win our home gains. Until a couple of weeks ago we had only won one all season. Now we seem to have got into a drawing habit.

You're correct but I am worried about our lack of depth just now.

looking at today's side it was evident that that was it,one dimensional,if it didn't work out we had nothing whatsoever in reserve to change the game plan.

For me Lallana just doesn't contribute anything at this level and that leaves us with an ineffective midfield,Gillet isn't particularly creative and DMG is a bit hit and miss.If we're not getting James and Skacel forward we just don't pose much threat. QPR strung 5 across the middle leaving Blackstock up front. They

came for a point, same as Derby and got it because we just don't have the weaponry to break that sort of formation down. We need a creative midfielder on loan, this week for preference.
