JonnyLove Posted 13 March, 2009 Share Posted 13 March, 2009 Just got back from Glasgow and had a hire car. I was advised there were some light scratches to the drivers wheel so only gave it a quick look over (you know sides and front and a quick glance at the back). No I didn't hit anything parked in the middle of nothing and there was no way damage could of happened to the car while it was in my possession. So take it back to the car hire people and they then show me a crack on the number plate and a dent that I didn't see on the back bumper (the reason I didn't see it was because it was parked with it's back in bellow what I could see) So now they are saying i'm liable for it as I didn't say anything about it before I left the car park. Thankfully it comes from my companies insurance and I very much doubt they will pay out as they can't prove anything But next time you guys get a hire car check it over with a fine tooth comb. By the way anyone else had this happen?
