Nexstar Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 "After a thorough police investigation the Crown Prosecution Service has decided not to press any charges against either Bradley Wright-Phillips or David McGoldrick, and no further action will be taken against them." http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11500
Bailey Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Good news. They both need to keep a low profile over the coming weeks and focus on their football.
Saint Mikey Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Will be interesting to see where BWP ends up next season. I can't see us offering him a new contract and he has hardly played this season. He'll probably get a lower level club in the C'ship, on the strength of his name.

saint hawk Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 It wouldn't surprise me if bradley ends up at blackpool or oldham next year
bridge too far Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 The cynical part of my mind is wondering if the whole fiasco was made up?
Pancake Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 The cynical part of my mind is wondering if the whole fiasco was made up? Dont tell me, Lowe wanted to devalue the club even more and make the fans hate the players more to make sure we go down so he can grab the club for a quid and become the evil overlord of his own little empire and walk up and down SMS at night in leather boots holding a bullwhip and Wilde on a leatehr collar and chain whilst shouting "Up Ze Zaintz" in a mock German accent?

Yes
stevegrant Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Dont tell me, Lowe wanted to devalue the club even more and make the fans hate the players more to make sure we go down so he can grab the club for a quid and become the evil overlord of his own little empire and walk up and down SMS at night in leather boots holding a bullwhip and Wilde on a leatehr collar and chain whilst shouting "Up Ze Zaintz" in a mock German accent? I think the inference was more that the "victim" had made something of a meal of the whole situation.
Pancake Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 I think the inference was more that the "victim" had made something of a meal of the whole situation. [sheepish] Yeah, that as well I guess [/sheepish] *Naffs off back to TMS*
OldNick Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 So the 'Saints fan' who made the complaint has caused our club to be destabilised and effected the players mind set in an important period , great. I do not condone the players but some people gob off and then run off to mummy when they get a reaction.
(not THE) Kevin Moore Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 I think the inference was more that the "victim" had made something of a meal of the whole situation. made a meal of it... phnah!! It did strike me at the time that some little tit had obviously had a go, there was a bit of pushing and shoving and that was it. The Echo (given to hyping things up to the max) could only say he had some grazing and got chinese takeaway down his front.... oh noes!!

From what I gather, the Echo knew about the story before the police did.
Guest Saints News Update Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 NO charges are to be pressed against two Saints stars arrested earlier this month on suspicion of affray and assault. More...
bridge too far Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 From what I gather, the Echo knew about the story before the police did. There you go then - some oik looking to make a quick buck / get his 5 minutes of fame.
trousers Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Better late than never Mr Saints News Update.....
trousers Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Is this the same 'fan' that threw a brick through Mr Wilde's window?
rallyboy Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 I guess that is good news, maybe the other party will now be charged with wasting police time. And a nice touch from the Echo - when I looked the story was accompanied by an ad that read 'been the victim of rape or a sexual assault? You can get compensation'.... Great product placement and advertising ethics. Not.
SaintRichmond Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Is this the same 'fan' that threw a brick through Mr Wilde's window? No ....... If it were a True Saints Fan, he would have chucked Wilde through the window .....
Weston Super Saint Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Bad news. Only a prison sentence would make sure DMcG's name wasn't the first one on the team sheet
derry Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 So why did the police need to hold McGoldrick until 3am Fri morning before team traveled to Birmingham? I think the question needs to be asked as it looks like over reaction and misjudgement on somebody's part. Why couldn't he be questioned during office hours?
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Bad news for the racist lynch mob on here then.
Toadhall Saint Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Bad news. Only a prison sentence would make sure DMcG's name wasn't the first one on the team sheet IMO he's been playing well - good game the other night.
Saint Bones Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 The Echo (given to hyping things up to the max) could only say he had some grazing and got chinese takeaway down his front.... oh noes!! Mate - Lucky they didnt get a few years in the slammer. Do you know how hard it is to remove black bean sauce
alehouseboys Posted 14 March, 2009 Posted 14 March, 2009 Hand bags at nine ? So where does Hoddle fit in to all this? :smt102
