Have heard they are closing it down/getting rid?

 

Anyone know if this is true and if so what is going to go on all that land?

Shame, I really enjoyed popping down there for a quick 9 holes in the summer.

 

If I read the article correctly, it has been run by a management company, who lost 120k last year. I would guess that that is roughly equal to to 2 or 3 of their directors salai=ries, quite easy to see where that money could be saved then!

 

Eastligh Borough Council should be employing people directly not sub contracting it.

Played it a few months back after what must have been 15 years since I last played it as a kid (used to play it every week). Not the same since they changed the order of all the holes around. Shame though. Learnt to play the game on that course.
