Arizona Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 On here please. I'd go with the side that beat Cardiff and Ipswich, with either Lallana, Skacel or MS in for DMG if he is feeling jaded. Something like this: - - - - - - - Davis - - - - - - - James - Perry - Size - Molyneux - - Lallana - Gillett - Surman - - - - - - - - - Skacel - - - - - - - - - - Euell - - - Saganowski - - -
derry Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Probably just a choice of Schneiderlin or Lallana for right midfield, otherwise no change, I expect the same team that won at Ipswich.
Andy_Porter Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Probably just a choice of Schneiderlin or Lallana for right midfield, otherwise no change, I expect the same team that won at Ipswich. I'd go with that. Bringing in Molyneux would be a disaster.
Um Bongo Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 2-0 Saints. Come on. Derby have loads of players out injuried, a win tonight would put them right back in it. MASSIVE game.
ericofarabia Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 The boys are going to have to cope without my listening support tonight, but I may be able to get a quick glimpse every now and then on the latest score ... hoping for a convincing win just to keep us up with the pack. It is to scary to think where we'd be if we'd say got 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss (which would have seemed optimistic) instead of those wins  Hope the fiver entry fee encourages a fair sized crowd and atmosphere to boot, and they players give a performance to encourage people to come back for more. (not in support of the board etc, but for the very existance of the club) COYRs
rallyboy Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 just had a look at the table, I am sure the more you study it the worse it gets! But I reckon our rivals could all get wiped out tonight, about time that happened, but the most important thing is what we do. Must win, must win!!! And then knock over those hairdressers from Loftus Rd and things will look MUCH better. Must win, must win!! And we can - I believe that, keep the faith, lift the roof off.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 I'd go with that. Bringing in Molyneux would be a disaster. I'll 3rd that! 3 points for us tonight methinks
saint lard Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 I don't get much chance to go so much nowadays, so i am really up for this tonight.
Window Cleaner Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Molyneux is awful, leave Skacel there. Molyneux isn't in the squad anyway.
Saint_clark Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Molyneux isn't in the squad anyway. Oh. Arizonas mistake, not mine
Window Cleaner Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Oh. Arizonas mistake, not mine But then Arizona will ignore all salient facts to be able to put Skacel in an attacking midfield role.
stevegrant Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Live updates from the game on our Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/SaintsWeb and also on the main site's home page http://www.saintsweb.co.uk - particularly useful for those who only read the matchday threads rather than post in them. Also, please note you'll need to be logged in to view the main board tonight in an attempt to keep the performance levels high enough.

70's Mike Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Worried about tonights game, momentum has been built up over the last 2 home games imo it is vital that is maintained. Confidence is a fragile thing a defeat tonight and staying up will be difficult because building confidence has to start again. Home games are key for me
team-saint Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 [removed by admin] Sorry, not allowing that forum to be advertised here anymore. We allowed SaintMike to subtly plug it if the conversation was relevant, but then he abused our trust by spamming other users by PM, so as a point of principle, no links there anymore.
Window Cleaner Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Confidence is a fragile thing And a nice early goal is what we need. Inside 10 minutes for preference.
70's Mike Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 And a nice early goal is what we need. Inside 10 minutes for preference. makes the next 80 seem like an eternaty, one nil in the 93 minute will do mr . one good thing about low gates is i can stay home until 6.45 or later on evening games no pub because son at Uni and not coming home tonight
Window Cleaner Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 at Uni and not coming home tonight Do they ever when they don't need money or something similar???;)
70's Mike Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Do they ever when they don't need money or something similar???;) agreed although to be fair to him, he might be reading this, he comes home for every Saturday game. Makes away games a pain because have to pick him up on route
Saint Martini Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Teams: Southampton: Davis, James, Saeijs, Perry, Skacel, Schneiderlin, Gillett, McGoldrick, Surman, Saganowski, Euell. Subs: Bialkowski, Lallana, Wotton, Liptak, Paterson. Derby: Bywater, Connolly, Albrechtsen, Nyatanga, Todd, Sterjovski, Savage, Eustace, Teale, Hulse, Barazite. Subs: Carroll, Villa, Kazmierczak, Ellington, Davies. Sticking with the same side then.
