Guest MadMonk Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 Derby will be like rabbits caught in headlights. We will win bye 2 or 3.
bjk Posted 9 March, 2009 Author Posted 9 March, 2009 4-1 Now that would be nice, especially as its Derby.
St.Thomas7 Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 Hasn't the last two of these ended 1-2 Derby? I'll go with that. With the form they're in we'd do well to get a draw. Even though we've won the last two at home lest we forget we have still only taken all 3 points at home three times over the whole season. Get your money on 1-2 or 2-2. Come on Saints... Prove me wrong...
bigchrisy Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 4-3 or something along those lines, should be entertaining
ottery st mary Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 Saints win 3-1 easy, Easy...Mr Wotte on top of his game now.
scott_saints Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 I'm confused. Do we still hate Derby?? People seem to have got over the obsession with them since beating us in the play offs recently.
slickmick Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 I'm confused. Do we still hate Derby?? People seem to have got over the obsession with them since beating us in the play offs recently. Derby Watford Blackpool Plymouth Forest Norwich Barnsley. I quite like Charlton now though.

Junior Mullet Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 2-1 Saints. I feel we were holding something back during the brum game for this one.
Ken Tone Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 No way am I confident about predicting the score. 2-1? But has anyone any idea what the crowd will be? Will our recent run bring back some of the fair weather fans? (Not meant as a dig at the anti-lowe stay away-ers) Any inside info from the ticket office? K.

Well i'll be there for the first time this season. I have just moved back from Spain so i'm not sure if i'm one of the "fair weather" supporters u talk so knowingly about?
Arizona Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 Ref is from Leicestershire. Seems a tad close to Ram ramming land for my liking. Midweek home-game at the end of a busy fixture list. Has Saints drawing a blank written all over it. I'm going for 0-0 or 0-1, sorry.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 I'm confused. Do we still hate Derby?? People seem to have got over the obsession with them since beating us in the play offs recently. I still hate their fans for dancing on the pitch. Does that count?
Nexstar Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 2-2 or derby go back to how they did in their promotion season, play route one and nick it 0-1.
Jayram Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 2-2 or derby go back to how they did in their promotion season, play route one and nick it 0-1.[/QUOT I think you might well win this one to be honest folks. We are missing several of our most influential players at the moment (Addison, Green & Commons) and although we are supposedly the form team at the moment I think another performance like the one against PNE will be enough for you to take all 3 points, much to my impending disappointment! I hope the anti-Derby thing has largely gone away - after all, honour was satisfied last August at Pride Park wasn't it?!! We seem to be very similar clubs in many ways and on similar trajectories most o fthe time too. Do you think you'll stay up? TBH I think you will be ok - Barnsley, Norwich & Charlton are my odds on bet for the drop - though I'm hoping for a late collapse by the Red Dogs! May the best team win tomorrow!
forever a red and white Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 i can see us losing this a few goals, thy are in good form and seem to score plenty.
offix Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 I've been emailing with Tom Glick, CEO of Derby, whom I know through a friend. No surprise that he fully expects to "keep Saints in 22nd place" tomorrow.
Saint_Jonny Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 I got spat on by a derby fan, so I still hate them. Hopefully we turn up and play like we did against Ipswich / Preston.
Under Weststand Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 I'd love it love it if we won but expect 1-1 draw is best we will get.
thorpie the sinner Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 unless we believe in ourselves and play like our whole survival depends on it, 3-1 derby!!
sperm_john Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 i think derby will win, they are a kind of bogey team for us, id love us to win though since i hate them
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 Brum was always gonna be tough, Derby wont be the same. We'll win 3-0.
bigtonesfc Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 draw on pitch, see how good they are off it at ours this time!!
Ponty Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 draw on pitch, see how good they are off it at ours this time!!
St Marco Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Derby are top of the form league having won if i remember right 7 of their last 8 games? But we been doing okay and think we're win this one 2-0.
Bailey Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 With a relatively big crowd expected and Saints in desperate need of a win, I'm going to say either 1 or 2 nil to the hosts. If we put in the same effort as we did during the Preston and Cardiff games, then we should come out on top tonight.
saints_is_the_south Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 heart says 1 nil to saints head 1 each What this man said.
alpine_saint Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 I was confident about this one following Saturday, but I have a growing sense of foreboding. We have a bloody awful record against Derby.
Victor Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 I predict the game will kick off a few seconds after 7.45pm in front of a crowd of 15, 476. The weather will be breezy and chilly with light showers towards the end of the game. Early Saints pressure will fail to produce a goal and the game will enter a scrappy phase from the 22nd minute. Around the half hour Derby will start getting a few shots in most of which will be ably dealt with by Kelvin. The Chapel end remains very quiet. As the first half draws to a close the persistently fussy referee awards Derby a contentious free kick on the edge of the area. 0-1. Saints respond well with a couple of speculative shots but go in at half time a goal down. Once again, it will be difficult to tell whether they gave you chocolate when you asked for coffee (partner swears it's tea). Saints start the second half briskly and dominate for 35 minutes when a shot from Gillett from outside the area deflects off LLallana's backside and into the net. 1-1 Saints get edgy after this and some deparate defending has everyone biting their nails but, despite the ref adding 5 minutes from God knows where, they see the game out and it ends all square. I had a dream.
Arizona Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 I was confident about this one following Saturday, but I have a growing sense of foreboding. We have a bloody awful record against Derby. We've won the last 2. HTH.
del boy Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 Saints 0 Derby 2 Set piece first half, break away near the end
Mole Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 We're gonna win simple as that. (any other result doesn't bear thinking about). 2-0.
hypochondriac Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 We're gonna win simple as that. (any other result doesn't bear thinking about). 2-0. I thought you wanted us to lose?

Mole Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 I thought you wanted us to lose? Like i give a **** what a sniveling little grass like you thinks.
