Yes, they hurt like hell and one slip can leave you with permanent nerve damage or worse. We'll all be keeping our fingers crossed that nothing bad happens.

When I had my first born, the midwife took a 5 metre run up before jamming the needle into the spine.

She was like Fatima Whitbread on acid.

I am having it under general anaesthetic, so hopefully, i wont notice. although i am a bit scared

You're having an epidural under general anaesthetic?

Posted
yes. well done. you can read

I must admit I don't get that, unless you are being knocked out for another operation and then the epidural is being put in for pain relief for your recovery period afterwards. Am I in the right ball park here?

Yes the hurt like a kick in the balls..

It sounds like her spine is well biffed up.

It wasn't before. They surgeons hacked through her main nerve, she is now a leg dragger.

Don't worry Keithy, there is a 50% chance they wont:

A, hack

B, inject

C, sever

D, hit

E, damage

your spinal cord or nerve. At least that is what they told mother. Unfortunatly if they do, you will be dancing with Davros, Hawking and Deacon and drinking doughnuts through a straw & dribbling like a Komodo dragon.

Don't sign the form, think of it as a personal insurance.
