Channon's Sideburns Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 Came across this - Linkenholt (the whole village) is up for sale... Herbert Blagrave was a former President of SFC....anyone reckon we could ask the Trust to mount a takeover afterwards ????? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/propertynews/4952810/Whole-village-put-up-for-sale-for-22-million.html
Pancake Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 The Herbert and Peter Blagrave Charitable Trust was set up to provide funds for organisations helping disabled children and injured jockeys. It also set up the activity centre on the estate to help children learn more about the countryside Im not sure an ailing football club badly run by 3 different chairmen actually falls into either of the 3 areas.
Ponty Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 You haven't seen the speed and grace of McGoldrick's running then Pancake.

hamster Posted 9 March, 2009 Posted 9 March, 2009 Went and watched the Saints about 1975 play cricket at the village green, remember Ossie playing. I have in my possesion a fully autographed Mick Channon tedstimonial cricket match prgramme, played against Burridge (I think) just after we won the Cup in '76. It is in a box under the stairs, maybe I should whack it on E-Bay?
St Landrew Posted 10 March, 2009 Posted 10 March, 2009 They could use it to start up another village around St. Mary's. After all, we've already got the idiot. I lolled. Quite a lot, in fact. Must be spring and the beginning of my better moods.
