notnowcato Posted 12 March, 2009 Author Posted 12 March, 2009 My banker has sunk... can't really grumble though. Come on Notable!
Iowsaintsfan Posted 12 March, 2009 Posted 12 March, 2009 I changed my mind from powerstation in my lucky 15
bungle Posted 12 March, 2009 Posted 12 March, 2009 Can this get any worse....... Please avoid betting on the same horse as me in the next 2 races. Ta.
bungle Posted 12 March, 2009 Posted 12 March, 2009 Pop at 50/1. Is this a desperation bid to reel in all your losses?
notnowcato Posted 13 March, 2009 Author Posted 13 March, 2009 Todays selections: Zaynar ****ney Trucker Pride of Dulcote Barbers Shop e/w Royal Auclair Best of luck to all getting involved today.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Tame day for me today 2.40 Toby Belch EW - Please nobody else follow this tip its purely for the name! Gold Cup - Neptune Collonges (My Nap for the festival) 4.00 - Royal Auclair
Iowsaintsfan Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 A statistic for you - no horse as ever won the Gold cup 2 years in a row unless its been consecutive years ie Denman can win it today as he won it last year but not Kauto Star. proberbly crap but statisics helped me with the winner of the national every year - got 4 out of the 1st 5 last year!
fish fingers Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 1.30 Zaynar 2.05 Daves Dream 2.40 Weapons Amnesty 4.40 Buena Vista e/w yankee 3.20 Madison Du Berlois e/w 4.00 Royal Auclair 5.15 Clew bay Cove e/w double. Fingers crossed for some cash for the weekend.
St_Tel49 Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Gold Cup - Madison de Berlais. I don't believe that Denman ran as badly in the King George as was alleged. Other than that Dave's Dream, Big Eared Fran and Zaynar.
bungle Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Today's awful, awful bets: 1.30 Zaynar yankee to win 2.05 Sunnyhillboy yankee 2.40 The Midnight Club yankee 4.40 Penn da Benn yankee 3.20 Alberta's Run 14/1 e/w 4.00 Limerick Boy 12/1 e/w 5.15 Clew Bay Cove 8/1 e/w Should do better than Hatch.

Pancake Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 A statistic for you - no horse as ever won the Gold cup 2 years in a row unless its been consecutive years Someone work me through that, I though "2 years in a row" was the same as "consecutive"...
bungle Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Exotic Dancer £100 e/w Odds are coming in a bit on that one. Just went to betting shop and used free bet from paper on Nepture Collognes to win. Had gone out to 13/2.
Mole Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Kauto Star will romp home. £20 at 7/4. Get the **** in.
Hatch Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Kauto Star Fill your boots. Claws a BIG chunk back. Nice. NB. Going with current Govt policy, does Ruby Walsh now get a knighthood for services to horse racing?
bungle Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 This next race could be a classic. Wasn't really a classic in the end though.
Mole Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Wasn't really a classic in the end though. Yeah it was, Kauto Star wasn't even taken out of first gear. Class horse and class ride.
bungle Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Yeah it was, Kauto Star wasn't even taken out of first gear. Class horse and class ride. Look, you are a c*nt on the main board, can you just say there and be a c*nt and let the rest of us get on with it.
Mole Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 Look, you are a c*nt on the main board, can you just say there and be a c*nt and let the rest of us get on with it. You haven't got a clue about racing have you.
doublesaint Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 You haven't got a clue about racing have you. Neither have you if you thought that was a classic race.
fish fingers Posted 13 March, 2009 Posted 13 March, 2009 You haven't got a clue about racing have you. but he is a very good judge of character and has got you spot on.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 Someone work me through that, I though "2 years in a row" was the same as "consecutive"... ok! you spotted my *cough* deliberate mistake :smt083:---) i knew what i ment!
SNSUN Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 Lost £60 last week. Not a single winner, and very few places. (Thanks Denman).
Mole Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 Lost £60 last week. Not a single winner, and very few places. (Thanks Denman). I knew i had it in the bag (so long as the nag cleared the jumps) about 8 furlongs out. Denman needed to pull away at this point and he didn't have it in him. Without this happening Ruby dictated the race and the outcome was guarenteed.
notnowcato Posted 16 March, 2009 Author Posted 16 March, 2009 You'll get your money back on Denman next year. The Queen's horse could be very interesting too. The race to be at for the next festival will be the Champion Hurdle... and the winner hasn't stepped hoof on these shores yet.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 Lost £60 last week. Not a single winner, and very few places. (Thanks Denman). Nice to see you are keeping up your Cheltenham traditions!
Neil Posted 16 March, 2009 Posted 16 March, 2009 Lost £60 last week. That would be a very good Cheltenham for a lot of punters!

SNSUN Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 Nice to see you are keeping up your Cheltenham traditions! :-D True, but £60 is a lot more money than I've lost previously! Betting ain't for me. :-(
Iowsaintsfan Posted 17 March, 2009 Posted 17 March, 2009 :-D True, but £60 is a lot more money than I've lost previously! Betting ain't for me. :-( Maybe just horses aint for you!
