Whereabouts in Goa will you be staying. I spent some time in Southern Goa last year in Cavelossim and did some touring.

Went 2 years in a row, 04 & 05. Stayed in Candolim north goa, and had a great time.

There did seem to be a darker side to the place hidden underneath the surface, maybe to do with the more 'herbal' activities though.

If you like slumming it in squalid surroundings you'll love it. Personally i'd rather spent a fortnight in Southsea.

I haven't, but my daughter's been to Sharm el Sheik (sp?) a couple of times for the diving and she loved it there.
