bridge too far Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 It's amazing how fans will stump up if their board is well respected, eh? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/7923912.stm I wonder how we will compare.
marc_saint Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 but aren't their season tickets only about £200 each!!??
Saint_clark Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 And not forgetting of course, there is nothing else to do in Norwich.....

We'll see how many more they get now that they're sliding back into the relegation zone. The first deadline was up until 28/2.Dirt cheap as well, plus there's nothing else to do in winter in Norfolk.

bridge too far Posted 5 March, 2009 Author Posted 5 March, 2009 but aren't their season tickets only about £200 each!!?? Still quite a lot of money to get upfront though.
Scudamore Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 And not forgetting of course, there is nothing else to do in Norwich..... Don't you live in Weymouth?
Carlos Fandango Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Here's a though for you, maybe fans of some teams pay their money to go and watch the team and not the board. A revolutionary idea eh?
Window Cleaner Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Yeah there is - you can go skating on the dykes You can also plant potatos and harvest fennel but those are high skilled jobs not commensurate with the average Norfolk dweller. I though skating on frozen waterways was frowned on by the local authorities due to too many fatties drowning in village ponds after their 38 stone figures fell through 5 millimetres of ice.
Saint_clark Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Don't you live in Weymouth? Yes, but we are not talking about Weymouth
Window Cleaner Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Here's a though for you, maybe fans of some teams pay their money to go and watch the team and not the board. A revolutionary idea eh? Norwich fans go for Delia's cooking tips in the programme, they surely can't go for the football.
Bourno Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Maybe there is a lesson to be learned here. Where Supply is greater than demand, lower the prices, fill the seats and reap the rewards of better support and higher sales of merchandise.
Window Cleaner Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Yeah there is - you can go skating on the dykes Dykes as in the disparaging term for lesbians??
Big Bad Bob Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Yeah there is - you can go skating on the dykes Something you're experienced at eh BTF??
Window Cleaner Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Maybe there is a lesson to be learned here. Where Supply is greater than demand, lower the prices, fill the seats and reap the rewards of better support and higher sales of merchandise. Here is another, do not hire players you can't afford.
Carlos Fandango Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Norwich fans go for Delia's cooking tips in the programme, they surely can't go for the football. If they put pics of Delias tips in the programme I'll bloody well buy a season ticket. Phwoar!

We need to get people back by giving cheap prices to 'lapsed' Season Ticket holders too.. So, maybe £200 for current STs, £250 for those that lapsed this year...

So, maybe £200 for current STs, £250 for those that lapsed this year... To be fair I don't think it really is £200 at Norwich apart from concessions and stuff, prices range from about £380 down to £75 I think for the early bird. Mind you I do think they accept payment in Turnips and Carrots.

bridge too far Posted 5 March, 2009 Author Posted 5 March, 2009 Dykes as in the disparaging term for lesbians?? No, dyke as in 'either a long wall or bank built to contain water or enclose or separate land, or the ditch from which the material was dug, or the combination of the two'. Interestingly, I've just learned that the term dyke, meaning a homosexual woman, is thought to have derived from the word 'bulldyker' meaning 'male stud'. So - all you studs out there - be prepared to be called bulldyke from now on. C'mon - there must be at least ONE stud out there :smt102 No? Oh
Chez Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Maybe there is a lesson to be learned here. Where Supply is greater than demand, lower the prices, fill the seats and reap the rewards of better support and higher sales of merchandise. but they are second bottom?
Chez Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Brum gave existing season ticket holders a free ticket to the FA cup game against Wolves this season. I think that is something fans would really appreciate as apposed to 5p off a game of ten pin ****ing bowling.
longmover Posted 5 March, 2009 Posted 5 March, 2009 Mind you I do think they accept payment in Turnips and Carrots. :smt038
georgeg Posted 6 March, 2009 Posted 6 March, 2009 How many of our 10K ST Holders would renew at £200? We need to get people back by giving cheap prices to 'lapsed' Season Ticket holders too.. So, maybe £200 for current STs, £250 for those that lapsed this year... this has always been my argument - I would make ST £200 for most areas (slightly more for centre areas) but put in a voucher for existing holders worth say £30 - £40 to be spent in the club shop - if you use the voucher for a shirt or jacket don't forget it hasn't actually cost the club that amount to buy from the manufacturers I believe it is critical to start getting more ST holders signed up BUT before that all happens.... goodbye lowe & co
um pahars Posted 6 March, 2009 Posted 6 March, 2009 but aren't their season tickets only about £200 each!!?? Their cheapest normal ticket as a renewal is £366 for behind the goal. They're doing something up there to get the punters to believe in them and it's not down to flogging tickets at rock bottom prices. I would argue one factor is that they have engendered a good community spirit and a sense of togetherness.
IFHP Posted 6 March, 2009 Posted 6 March, 2009 but aren't their season tickets only about £200 each!!?? No, behind the goal at Norwich for an adult £366 only £14 cheaper than our early bird last season. http://www.canaries.co.uk/staticFiles/5f/30/0,,10355~143455,00.pdf Its a myth that their season ticket prices are cheap, they have a good loyal following both at home and away. Better than ours and a lot of other championship clubs.
Andy_Porter Posted 6 March, 2009 Posted 6 March, 2009 There's **** all to do in East Anglia, hardly a suprise they have so many ST holders.
