Arsenal are thinking about sending Johan Djourou out on loan to Rennes - a 21 year old central defender - plays for Switzerland

maybe we should take a look at him

Not sure how well they did in the league last season, nut they were certainly playing UEFA Cup footie. Chances of us getting him are remote at best!

if he is going to make it at Arsenal a season playing for Saints in the CCC would do him more good in the long run than a season at Rennes in France

Is this the same Djourou (sp) who had six months on loan at Birmingham in the prem last year? For which I would imagine (don't know for sure) they would have had to pay a decent loan fee for? He started for Arsenal on Saturday (admittedly due to injuries), there is aboslutely no way he would come here! If he was available, there would be a host of prem teams who would snap him straight away.

Nice idea, but we'll aiming a lot lower with our potential loans (if we get any in). The lad Cork is a more realistic one, someone who has yet to establish themselves in the premier league.

would you send your youngsters here?

Why not, it's not as if we have Gary Glitter as our Youth Team Development Manager!!

Under GB I certainly wouldn't have, but I think the trend is to 'give yoof a chance' these days

I would. We are not exactly looking like Barcelona but neither do we come across as a Creche run by Paul Francis Gadd. Youngsters will be fine.

Nasty, but funny! :)

no chance of us getting Djourou, this is ridiculous.

However, we should be looking to loan the type of youngster that appears in their Carling cup squad. Several have already gone out on loan, those 18 year olds can always play
