Have you got a photo of Mazza to compare it to as I have no idea what this doris looks like.

JFP, she is lovely lady but no obsession a la Scooby for me - no photos but will try to find a link to the ad if poss...!

Mind you as the subject of the bit was ISA's I wouldn't talk to NatWest - coming from an IFA background I'd always go for independent advice..! ;)

Doris, now there's a word from the past.Didn't know it was still in use in the SO postcode.I had a succession of dorises, new doris, old doris, slaggy doris, top rank doris....

Is she the lady sitting with the chap in the advert who were described by the NatWest advisor as being asset rich and cash poor ?

Oh, I have seen that advert. Is that her, the bewildered looking granny type?

Hang on. Elderly people? Asset rich, cash poor? Lowe and retirement homes?

Nah, surely not.

I thought she was pretty foxy in a "Margot Leadbetter sort of way" ! :D

I picked up a Doris at a Stranglers gig the old Top Rank. She was lovely, I was drunk. Now I'm sober and she is probably fat (well it was 1978 ).

Indeed ;)

BTW, for those in doubt, not the couple sat in the NatWest branch, the bit just after when he does a home visit....nice pad Mary ;)

I watched this advert and laughed at the real out of touch side to it. Everyone in the advert is a toff and surprise surprise the bank will pay them a home visit. The only homevisit I would ever get is with someone telling me to make a payment on my car or they are having it back!!

Anyone else seen this yet??

Watching Sky Sports last night, in the break it came on - thought...hang on a minute....

That's Mary Corbett!

Take a look next time it's on!

Does the NatWest still exist then?

I though it was part of the extremely hard up and badly managed RBS

I picked up Dorises at virtually every occasion I visited the Top Rank, in fact I think it was my prime reason for ever going there. I don"'t ever remember taking anyone there once I had picked them up. Could be wrong though,I might have taken a current doris to the Metro on occasions, still means you had to pay for them as well.I do however remember one occasion involving new doris, old doris and top rank doris. One was that night's conquest, one was a past flame and the other one worked behind the bar, I was so confused, I think i even ate one of their atrocious hot dogs.

It is indeed part of the RBS Group.

However I guess that with the RBS brand name being in the gutter at the moment, they are using the NatWest name again.

The Mayfair nightclub was tops for pulling Dorisses. I once pulled one under 5ft and she was under by about 3 inches.

One of the lower ranks I assume

Was there any other reason ? the snakebite wasn't that nice but assisted with the reduction in standards, were it not for the rank my count would have been average.

Had a meet yesterday with Natwest and the topic of RBS was raised, it was suggested some still do not make the connection between the two

There are still people who don't appreciate that NatWest is a subsidiary of RBS...!!!???

The National Westminster is almost a prophetic title for it.

Sorry, either I'm Pished or this is the most surreal thread I've read on here for age's - and thats saying something!

Mind you, now you cast your mind back, I think I kopped off with a Doris who worked at Nat west once and took her to the Rank to see the mighty Shakatak!

Back of the net! ;-)

There used to be a girl at Barclays bank in Park Gate, just opposite the car park at the bottom of MIddle Road ( I am sure it was Barclays) that would take all her clothes off at parties and just mingle like that for ages.
